Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

"ALERT ALERT, SEVERAL CAT 1 SIN's HAVE ESCAPED."

Standing in my cell I listened to the blaring alarms my heart panicking as a term I never heard of was spoken by the panicked voice on the intercom.

'The fuck is a sin and is category 1 high or low'

Wondering this I moved towards my cell door where I saw a small group of gaurd shuffling past my cell and surprisingly each of them were armed with rifles different from there standard baton and pistols.

'I have to get out of here'

Seeing the gaurds armed to the teeth and hearing the blaring alarms I came to that simple conclusion, but sadly I was forced to stay in my cell as I had no way out.

*Bang*

*Bang*

*Bang*

*Bang*

*Silence*

Not even a few minutes after the gaurd left I heard series of intense gun shots before silence quickly followed and to my confusion a thick fog rolled in luckily only reaching my knees but the sharp chill they sent throughout my body wasn't pleasant.

"The hell is goin-"

*Splat*

Stopping my words, I felt my skin crawl as the sounds of something large and wet hitting the ground echoed down the hall from where the gaurds had previously went down.

'Somethings coming'

As if a switch clicked on in my brain I retreated away from door and as far back into my cell something telling me I didn't want what was coming to find me.

'What the fuck is that'

Having backed away from the cell door I did my best to shrink my body into the darkness, ignoring the cold from the fog as I caught sight of truly hideous creature.

The creature was large, sporting a round bulbous body which from the little I could make out supported by short spindly limbs that it used to carry its form with clear struggle as it let out a audible Goran from the large head which sported two elongated eyes and massive mouth that went from ear to ear.

'Please go away'

Praying silently in the corner of the sail I watched the creature slowly glance between my cell and #10 and as if deciding we were not worth the effort it moved on allowing me to see that the wet sounds were coming the corpse of gaurds that were squished beneath it frame.

'Thank God'

Letting out a small prayer I waited for a couple minutes until the sounds of the creature which I assumed was a Sin disappeared.

"Now what?"

Whispering this question to myself I walked to the bars of my cell Observing the mess of gore outside.

'There has to be Something'

Looking at the mess of body armor and gore I wanted to barf but with the fear of creature coming back I pushed my disgust down as I had my Mage hands wade through the gore attempting to find anything useful.

'A gun...fucking useless'

Wading through the gore I eventually found a pistol but rembering how the gaurds armed with automatic weapons had died to the sin I didn't feel any more safe as I pocketed the gun and continued searching through the pile.

'Yes! A remote!'

Finally finding what I was looking for I had the Mage hand bring me the blood covered controller.

'Now what button to get this collar off'

Fiddling with the remote I made sure to avoid the buttons that either electrified, or exploded the collar something made easy due to the buttons having rough labels and images.

*click*

Hearing the crisp sound of my collar unlocking I felt weight leave not only my body but my soul as I got the first taste of freedom in almost a month.

*rumble*

Clicking a button on the remote I listened to the door slow crawl open allowing me to step out into the gore filled hallway.

'Lets hope I don't run into that thing again'

Thinking this I prepared to leave only to stop as I noticed Subject 10 still in his cell curled up into ball.

'I cant leave him'

With this thought in mind I approached the cell only to stop and look at the other cells all which looked to be closed and undamaged as far as I could see.

'What about the rest of them'

Observing the dozen of people still in there cell I knew I couldn't take them all and with that in mind I began to move the opposite direction from where the creature went deciding it would be safer for everyone to stay in there cell

'Damn its a mess'

Coming to the entrance to the cell block I was met by splattered mess of what were previously the gaurd I had seen earlier.

'Disgusting'

Seeing the guts strewn about everywhere I was abit uncomfortable as I waded through the mess picking up a barely serviceable rifle with half a mag of ammo, and a singular combat knife.

'Didnt seem to be effective against the creature, but worst case I can use em against the gaurds'

With this in mind I didn't linger slinging the weapon as I observed where a heavy metal door should been had now become busted mess as the door itself lay on the ground looking to have been torn down by pure brute strength.

'I shouod have prayed more'
