Aoife was completely astonished or shocked as she thought no one would really care enough to place a letter on her locker. After she placed it inside her backpack, the boy who is always locked up inside the locker broke out in the locker.
His athletic body speeds through the hallway and ended up bumping Aoife in the head. They both fell on the ground simultaneously. The boy's eyes met with Aoife's as if it was trying to speak to it. Aoife saw the boy's dirty face covered from the dust particles of the locker.
The boy tried to speak to Aoife but instead coughed from the dust. They both rubbed their heads feeling the lump from their impact.
"I'm sorry for bumping into you, I was in a rush my bad."
The boy stood up from the ground and extended his hand to help Aoife get up from the ground. Aoife glanced at the boy's dirty arm she can't help it but to also get grabbed to stand up from the ground.
"It's okay, I understand what's going on anyways"
She tries to brush off the situation by replying fast. She tries to walk away from the boy, feeling embarrased that she had made contact with the boy that would probably make the girls around the hallway whisper about their encounter. The boy suddenly had an urge to speak to Aoife.
"Hey, uhm… What is your name…?"
Aoife stopped her walking and was contemplating if she should ignore the boy to continue walking or to reply back to not be rude to the boy. She turns around slowly to speak to him.
"My name is Aoife… What about your's…?"
Her heart raised the moment she spoke to that boy. She tried to look away from her timid expression until the boy replied back.
"My name is Avery, I hope we'll meet again since I'm in a rush so xiao."
The boy sprinted to the opposite direction on where was Aoife trying to walk through. Aoife sighed with relief from the awkward dialogue she had with Avery. Her thoughts now are focused going outside the campus since the school day was finished.
She finally walked through the main door of the campus and slowly approached the warm bench that had been bathing by the sun for the whole day. She gazes at the sunset reflecting the small city around her before she grabs her backpack to read the hidden letter from her locker.
She opened the zipper from the backpack to grab the letter. She opened the written letter, and was perplexed from what she read. It has been written that she should return to her 4 storey-regular apartment to open her computer to read her recent emails.
She thought about doing as it was said on the letter and she finally decided she is going back to her apartment since she didn't have anything to do so.
She stood up from the bench and wore her backpack to walk towards to the bus station where every student goes to go home. She grabbed her phone from the pocket and checked the time. It was now 5:53 PM and walked faster as she realized it was getting late. She arrived at the bus station and sat at the waiting bench. She noticed not many students would walk towards the station like every other day.
A few minutes passed by and the blue-ish bus with it's loud exhaustion pipe at the back of the bus grabbed her attention. The door opened and released the pleasing cold air from the air conditioning of the bus.
Aoife entered the vehicle and paid the bus driver to go to Bravado 13th street. The driver thanked the attractive Aoife where she is now heading towards the seats. She sat on the soft mattress and streches her arms upwards and begins to relax.
Aoife took a small nap and slept peacefully while the driver goes towards her street. 8 minutes passed by and they stopped at the bus station. She got awakened by the loud noise of the exhaustion pipe of the bus and prepared to grab her backpack and stood up to go down from the bus.
She walked at the door and thanked the bus driver for being quick at the bus station that was near her apartment. She got down from the vehicle and walked through the vast sidewalk and spotted her regular apartment's gate.
She opened her backpack to reach a tiny key to open the gate. She closes her backpack and used the tiny key to open the red gate. The red gate screeches inch by inch while being opened. Aoife closes the red gate and locks it. She walks to the elevator and noticed black kitty that is whining infront of the elevator.
Aoife picked up the black kitty and held it in her hands. She assumed the black kitty was lost so she would adopt it instead of leaving it behind helpless. Aoife thought it would be also a good suprise for her little brother Nova because Aoife was also taking care of her little brother while her parents are away from town for 2 months. She went inside the elevator holding the black kitty.
She presses the elevator's 3rd floor button softly and listened to the elevator's music. As the elevator was going to the 3rd floor, Aoife checked her phone on social media. She checked the phone to see if any of her friends had messaged her lately after school.
She scrolls and finds no new DMs from anyone. She wondered if her friends is going out together since it is a friday this week. The elevator arrived at the 3rd floor and opened. Aoife turns left and found her room number 54. She grabbed the key from her pocket to open the door.
She opened the gray apartment door and placed the black kitty on the floor for it to enter inside the room. She goes inside the room and turned on the lights. Nova opened his door and noticed the black kitty.
He ran towards it and the black kitty didn't stop. Nova fell on the ground as he thought the black kitty was going to go towards him but instead approached the fish tank in the living room. Aoife chuckled about how Nova fell and Nova screamed why the black kitty doesn't like him.
"I found this black kitty around the apartment so I thought this would be a good suprise for you lil bro."
"What happens if our parents notice we have a stray cat laying around the apartment???"
"I'll take the blame since you love cats."
Aoife walked towards her room and opened it. She enters the room and closed it quickly to open the computer. She locked the door so no one would know the secret letter that has been given to her at her locker. The desktop of the computer opens up and Aoife sat down at the gaming chair and went through the browser to checked the email.
She was shocked on the recent email that was given to her. "If you have received this letter, don't talk or message or THINK to anyone about this. This means you have been selected to be part of this secret orginization that the government has chose. Any information leaked from this email will sentence the bloodline to death. Your codname is DAWN_921 and you are drafted to METEOR group. We'll give you more information on your new secret job. For now send an email comfirming you accept this offer. Declining also means your fate so don't try dodging the offer. Another email will be sent next week. Good luck, Agent"
Aoife was flabbergasted on what she read on the email. She couldn't believe if she was part on this conspiracy about the government, or she was being drafted by a experiment from the military. Her blood pressure rises from her stress after realizing she cannot express what she is about to go through to anyone.
She calmed down and finally lay on the bed facing the pillow to relax. She thought her life would be simple wouldn't it…?
