Born as the second youngest child of the giants Laufey and Farbauti, Eirik entered the world just moments before his twin sister, Amærä. However, their arrival was met with disdain, as the pair were labeled as runts by their own family and species. Isolated and treated like servants, Eirik and Amærä endured a lifetime of hate and mistreatment, biding their time until they could finally escape.
During their harrowing escape attempt, Eirik became separated from his sister, who was left blinded and bedridden by their cruel father. Though devastated, Eirik never lost hope that Amærä was still alive, and he continued his journey, eventually finding himself injured and seeking refuge in Muspelheim.
It was there that Eirik crossed paths with a dark elf woman, and the two formed an unexpected bond. The woman offered to help Eirik find Amærä and they began traveling together. When they finally reunited with Eirik's long-lost sister, the trio found solace in one another's company. Eirik went on to marry the dark elf woman, and they had twins together. However, tragedy struck once more when the woman mysteriously disappeared, leaving Eirik to believe she had perished. After the birth of his children, he arrives on Asgard, hoping to receive sanctuary.
