Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: The Informant

Sophia and I spent the next few days gathering information and preparing for our next move. We knew that The Order was still out there, searching for us, and we needed to stay one step ahead.

One evening, Sophia received a message from one of her contacts. We were to meet an informant at a local bar, someone who had information about The Order's plans.

We arrived at the bar, a dimly lit dive on the outskirts of town. The air was thick with smoke, and the patrons looked like they had been there for hours.

Sophia scanned the room, her eyes locking on a figure in the corner. "That's our guy," she said, nodding towards the figure.

We made our way over, the informant looking up as we approached. He was a scrawny man with a scruffy beard, and he looked like he hadn't slept in weeks.

"Sophia," he said, his voice shaking. "I've got the information you asked for."

Sophia nodded, her eyes locked on the informant. "What do you have?" she asked.

The informant hesitated, glancing around the room nervously. "The Order is planning something big," he said. "They're gathering their forces, preparing for a major attack."

I felt a chill run down my spine. What could The Order be planning?

Sophia's eyes narrowed. "What's the target?" she asked.

The informant hesitated again, before answering. "Covenant Academy," he said.

My eyes widened in shock. Covenant Academy was the school for supernatural beings that Sophia had told me about. Why would The Order be targeting it?

Sophia's face was grim. "We need to get there, now," she said.

The informant nodded, handing Sophia a folder filled with documents. "This is everything I could find," he said. "Be careful, Sophia. The Order is not to be underestimated."

Sophia nodded, tucking the folder into her bag. "We will," she said. "Thanks for your help."

The informant nodded, before quickly gathering his things and leaving. Sophia watched him go, her eyes narrowed in thought.

"What's the plan?" I asked.

Sophia turned to me, her eyes locked on mine. "We're going to Covenant Academy," she said. "We need to warn them about The Order's plans."

I nodded, feeling a sense of determination. We were in this together, and we were going to stop The Order no matter what.
