At least not the Voldemort from his world anyway. If he was here at all.
However as he got closer to the group, something else came to his attention. Several of the death eaters were bunched together in a group and had their attention focused on something. It only took a moment to figure out what.
There was a cluster of six death eaters standing not ten yards from a huddled figure on the ground. The only thing Harry could tell about the figure was that they were dressed in dark blue and that it was a female. The figure on the ground was screaming as one of the Death Eaters held her under a spell.
They were holding the woman under the cruciatus curse.
Harry snarled from under the hood. His rage peaking at the figures in front of him. He raised his wand, and even though he was too distant from the death eaters for his aim to be pinpoint accurate, he whipped his wand forward and fired an Expulso in the direction he was walking. Right toward the Death Eater holding the girl under the cruciatus.
Even Harry was unprepared for the result.
Unlike the more sedate wave of magic he had used up to this point, this time Harry's magic seemed to sing in his head when he whipped his wand forward. It had been waiting, boiling and active, eager, almost demanding to be used and unleashed.
This wasn't like before when he was casting passive charms or minor transfigurations. No… now Harry's magic was bubbling, and his fury seemed to do nothing but encourage it. He didn't even notice that his magical aura actually flared, or that his eyes began to grow a vivid emerald green beneath the hood.
He intended for the spell to cause a distraction striking someone in the group, giving the girl on the ground a chance to move if she could get crucio'd muscles to respond. Harry assumed his spell would likely hit some of the various debris or pieces that remained of burning tents.
Instead, what Harry got was a large blue ball of light that shot out of his wand and rocketed across the space between him and the group of Death Eaters, blasting through more than one tent in its path.
The Death Eater's were caught completely unawares. The spell shot right into their midst and hit the wizard holding the girl under a crucio full in the chest and exploded outward, sending the group of gathered dark wizards scattering like bowling pins.
Even from the distance Harry could tell the Death Eater that had taken the direct hit from his spell was dead. Harry wasn't even certain there was anything left of the wizard's upper body.
Harry hesitated and stared at the chaos that he had caused, impressed at the effect of his spell despite himself. His shock was almost his undoing.
The Death Eaters that had dived to the sides, or been blown there, had easily seen where such an eye-catching spell had come from, and suddenly he was under a barrage of spells aimed his way. He felt one clip his leg, as he instinctively rolled to the side, cursing himself as he did.
"Stopping to admire your own work is a good way to get killed." He muttered to himself, cursing the fact that he wasn't wearing spell-resistant dragonhide armor. Unfortunately he would be as hindered wearing it since it was not longer his size, than he would be without it.
He found himself crouched behind a tent, minimal cover at best, but the land was mostly flat, there wasn't much to take cover in, so he began to move.
Harry rolled out from behind the tent and came out, casting a powerful protégo on himself before bringing his wand up and rapid firing blasting curses without doing more than aim in the direction spells were being fired towards him from.
He saw the rainbow effect of more than one spell connecting with another and exploding in a shower of harmless sparkles. He also heard more than one cry, which told him enough to know that he'd connected to something. He thought he might have seen one of his hexes connect to the head of one of the Death Eaters, but he couldn't be sure.
Harry grunted softly when he tried to continue moving from his roll. His leg protested, but it didn't give out. He risked a quick glance down to see the leg of his robe shredded and covered in blood, but he couldn't stop to take stock further than that.
He let out a muttered curse at his own stupidity but didn't waste any further time on it. He kept moving forward rapid firing explosive curses, banishing curses, bone breaking hexes, and cutting curses. Those four curses were so familiar to him that he didn't need to say anything, he just kept whipping his wand and rapid fired them out.
Harry didn't care if he connected at the moment, his constant fire of curses would force them to protect themselves as he got to his goal. He pulled even with the female on the ground that the Death Eaters had been torturing.
Harry got several shocks all at once.
The figure in a ball on the ground was actually twofigures. One blonde girl was wrapped around the other protectively.
It took only a second for Harry to recognize them both. Fleur Delacour was wrapped around her sister protectively. Fleur was still spasming, an after effect of being crucio'd, and Gabrielle's tear stained face looked up at him fearfully. Fleur's mouth was clearly trying to form words as she regained control of her body.
His shock was once again nearly his undoing. Harry took a spell in his left shoulder as his concentration slipped, and with his concentration so did his spell fire and equally importantly, so did his shield.
Harry fell backward, but turned it into a roll and came up firing several quick spells, after re-establishing his shield. Not stopping to think or talk; Harry quickly transfigured the ground to rise up in front of the unmoving girls on the ground, putting a thick brick wall between them and the spellfire.
It wouldn't hold for long as curses already dug into it, but it also prevented curses from slipping through for a moment. Harry also knew from experience that if he put more walls up then it would hem the three of them in and create a perfect killing zone. However it gave them a half a minute or so before the Death Eaters got through or around it.
He crouched behind the wall a moment tossing two quick diagnostic spells at first Fleur and then Gabrielle, and was pleased to see that there weren't any further spells on either of the Delacours. He had just turned his attention back to the group of death eaters when he heard a voice from beside him.
