Deimos is much like his father, unlike Atreus who is gentle and weaker physically, he was born with the natural strength of a god, Kratos seeing this, he trained him in a near spartan way, he doesn't do the punishments that would befall on spartans, but the way they train would terrify every other parent including Faye, but she decided not to interfere, she knows that her son is special, he was not foretold in the visions of the future, he was a fateless one, like Kratos who defies and kills fate, he would be the same, but it seems its in a larger scale.
"Deimos, it's time for your training!!" Kratos shouted waking Deimos in his sleep, he was used to being woken up to a shout, doing training the first day of the morning before eating, he knew he was strong, and his heart knew that he needed to use that strength to protect his family, like how his parents protected them from harm, he would protect them too if he needed, especially Atreus, he know that he was fundamentally different with his brother, all of their 12 years of living together, he never knew why, even though they have the same parents, his brother didn't have the strength of his father side.
While training, he pushed himself too far this time, he was only supposed to fight with a controlled strength, but he punched his father a lot stronger this time, causing his father to block and counter with the same strength without meaning to, Deimos was punched in the head and passed out immediately, Kratos, realizing what he has done, carried his son in their cabin.
