Chapter 39
The eerie silence of the forest was only broken by the occasional rustle of leaves and the faint screeches of defeated creatures. The ground was littered with lifeless monkey-like beasts, their bodies twisted unnaturally. In the middle of it all stood Lucas, his brown hair slightly disheveled, his crimson eyes gleaming with irritation.
He clenched his fist, feeling the raw energy surging through his veins. "These monkeys are too weak," he muttered, scowling. "I need stronger opponents… I'm close. I'm so close to reaching the Alkan phase."
Determined, he ventured deeper into the forest. It wasn't long before he found a new set of beasts—larger, deadlier, and far more aggressive. They lunged at him with a synchronized attack, their claws glowing with energy.
Lucas grinned. "Finally, some real fun."
A feral bear charged at him, but before it could reach him, Lucas disappeared. The next second, the bear's body was flying backward, its chest caved in from a devastating Beast Punch.
A scaled panther pounced from a tree, claws extended, but Lucas sidestepped, grabbed its tail, and Launched it straight into another beast.
A twin-headed viper slithered at him, fangs dripping venom. Lucas smirked, dodging its bite and then plunging his hand into its throat, killing it on the spot.
One after another, the beasts fell. Their energy was now his. Lucas could feel his power growing, his body vibrating with untapped potential. He was ready for more.
Just as he was about to seek his next prey, he felt eyes watching him. He turned to see ten students from the Purple Department surrounding him. Their leader sneered.
"Isn't this the Wild Beast of the Black Department?" he taunted. "We've been waiting for this moment. You're strong, but there's ten of us and only one of you."
Lucas sighed, tilting his head. "So? Do you want a medal for being able to count?"
The group launched their attack. Wind spells, fireballs, and energy nets came flying toward him. Lucas dodged effortlessly, weaving between attacks as if he was dancing.
Then, without warning, he vanished.
In a blur, Lucas reappeared right behind three of them. His claws extended, and before they could react—SLASH! Three of them fell, their limbs twisted, their bodies shaking in shock.
"H-Holy—" one of the students stammered.
The others, now terrified, charged recklessly. Lucas smirked.
One swung a flaming fist, but Lucas grabbed his wrist, crushed it, then flipped him into a tree like a sack of potatoes.
Another cast a wind blade, only for Lucas to kick him mid-air, sending him spiraling into his own teammate.
A desperate student threw a net spell, but Lucas let it wrap around him, then walked straight through it, ripping the net and scaring the life out of its caster.
"This… this isn't human…" one of them whispered.
Lucas just smiled. "You wanted to see how the Wild Beasts of the Black Department fight? Let me show you."
One by one, they fell. Eyes were ripped out, arms were dislocated, and screams echoed through the forest. It was pure horror—like a predator playing with its prey.
Lucas stood among the wreckage, wiping blood off his hands. "Weaklings."

Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, Blaze stood with a smug expression, stretching his arms after absorbing the Fire Dragon's tool. His body felt renewed, his flames burning hotter than ever.
He barely had time to enjoy it before a group of ten Blue Department students appeared, surrounding him.
"That's the guy! He stole the Fire Dragon's stone!" one of them shouted.
Blaze chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "Oh, that old thing? Yeah… funny story, I lost it."
Silence.
"YOU LOST IT?!"
Blaze shrugged. "I mean, technically, it's lost to you, not to me."
Fury exploded within the group. They attacked immediately, wind and water spells mixing together to create a deadly storm. But Blaze was already moving.
A student launched an ice spear, but Blaze spun mid-air and dodged it like a gymnast.
Another threw water chains, but Blaze evaporated them with a flick of his fingers, laughing.
A third rushed in with a sword, only for Blaze to grab the blade bare-handed, heating it up until the guy yelped in pain.
"Wow, guys. For a department with elemental wizards, you sure do fight like amateurs."
Annoyed, they all rushed him at once. Blaze smirked. "Alright… time to stop playing."
With a burst of power, fire and lightning intertwined in his hands.
The group stopped dead.
"WHAT?! HE HAS FIRE ELEMENT?!"
Blaze grinned. "You might want to update your news."
The second round wasn't even fair.
His Astral Strike shattered their defenses.
His Feral Pounce broke their formation.
His Lightning Fist sent them flying in different directions.
Within minutes, they were all unconscious, smoke rising from their burned uniforms.
Blaze dusted off his hands. "Well, that was easy"
Just as he was about to leave, Blaze heard cries for help. He followed the sound and arrived at a chilling scene.
Two students from the Black Department were cornered by a mixed group of twenty students from White, Blue, and Purple Departments.
One of the attackers sneered. "You Black Department brats are not worthy of the Wizard Knight title. Weaklings!"
A wounded Black Department student clenched his fists. "If you're so strong, why not fight the Black Hero?"
The leader scoffed. "Hah! Where is he? I'd love to see this so-called Black Hero
Let see if he can save you from your doom
He then rise his hands to the sky and said Earth boulder, sending attack to the black department student. The boy heart sank.
Then suddenly a lightning bolt struck the earth spell creating an explosion
As the smoke cleared, a short black-haired boy stood there, with his piercing green eyes glowing.
"You asked for the Black Hero?" Blaze Said facing the group .
"Well… here I am."
To be continued…
