"How could I use it if I wasn't already fused with it?" Asher asked the question that had puzzled him from the start.
As far as he knew, bloodlines are born with a person, so they don't require fusion. He thought he could use them and also understood the capabilities of his unique skill, Devour, as well as the Eyes of the Abyss.
So why did he have to fuse with a bloodline he already had?
"I know, sir, that you think it's impossible, and you're right. But all I can tell you is that your bloodline is different from others, and its workings are different as well. You'll learn all of this when you fuse with it," the skeleton replied with a confident smile.
Asher realized that he was still ignorant of many things and very weak, so he decided to just go with the flow to see where he could go after all this.
"Okay, but before that, there's one question that's puzzling me."
"What is it?"
"Where did this body's bloodline go if my bloodline is Primal Darkness?" Asher asked, a little skeptical and uncertain. Although he had some conclusions, he felt they weren't real.
" The skeleton paused for a moment and with a calm, reassuring smile said, "This body's bloodline has been transformed into a unique skill, 'The Eyes of the Abyss,' which has truly unique abilities, sir. It will help you greatly, especially as you become stronger, as it has a property that allows skills to evolve, something not everyone can do. Only you can, and there may be some rare cases like you." Asher was surprised by this useful ability. He didn't even know if 'The Eyes of the Abyss' was a skill specific to his old or new bloodline. He also realized that he still hadn't fully grasped the full properties of his skills.
'Is it because I haven't merged with my bloodline yet?' Asher thought, making him want to merge as soon as possible.
'Well, then, let's begin this fusion,' Asher said, causing the skeleton to smile happily.
The skeleton didn't answer, but seemed to be getting to work right away, meaning he really should hurry before the energy that kept Asher in this world ran out.
The skeleton raised his staff, and a beam of dark energy, like black ink, began to descend forcefully and quickly from the sky toward Asher. "It'll be a bit painful, sir, but try to stay conscious to make the most of it," the skeleton said quickly and seriously to Asher.
At first, Asher didn't understand what he meant, but when the dark beam reached him, he felt it.
He didn't scream, he didn't call for help, he didn't lose consciousness, but he tried to hold his face as still as possible, just as the skeleton had said.
His skin slowly began to peel off, and blood kept gushing out from his entire body. The bones inside were violently breaking and turning to dust. His internal organs began to be compressed, but a barrier of dark energy surrounded them to prevent Asher from dying.
Asher's teeth began to fall out, his hair fell out, his eyes popped out, and even his sagittal cords were severed, leaving him unable to scream even if he wanted to.
Doubts began to creep into Asher's mind, still a little aware that the skeleton had tricked him. But why would he? And how would he know everything about him if he was truly deceiving him? Hundreds of thoughts began to enter Asher's mind, but slowly they began to diminish, and he began to feel that he was close to losing consciousness. One thread was preventing him from leaving everything behind and diving into the world of eternal darkness where he felt comfortable.
But just as he was about to lose consciousness, an image of a little girl appeared in his mind. A little girl with white hair and large, innocent black eyes.
'Rin... my sister...'
The image began to form before him, as he was in a green space, filled with flowers and a sweet scent.
There was no one else but a young man with white hair and black eyes, Asher, and in front of him was his sister, Rin, urging him to play with her.
'Brother, come on, if you catch me, I'll cook you your favorite meal tonight.'
She began to run forward in the spacious garden, happily and joyfully, calling out to her brother, who was her only family.
'Hey, Rin, don't go. Come here!'
Asher shouted at the top of his lungs as he followed her through the garden, looking scared and worried. Suddenly, the picture began to change. This time, Asher was standing amidst a pile of corpses, holding a gun in one hand and a sword in the other. All the corpses around him were dead, while his body was covered in blood, and a cold look appeared on his face.
'Brother... Are you finally here?'
Far from the corpses, Hank was lying far away, her entire body bruised and scarred, her clothes almost completely torn.
Asher ran over to her, his cold expression changing to one of fear and concern.
'Ren, are you okay? Ren, don't worry, I'll take you to the hospital right away...'
Before he could finish his words, his little sister, no more than 15 years old, stopped him with a warm smile on her face. 'Don't worry about me, bro. It's too late for me...cough cough...'
'I just wanted you to know that I've always loved you and I still do, bro. No matter what you've done or will do in the future, I trust your judgment.'
'Don't ever blame yourself for what happened here. Cough...cough...just forget about me and live your life to the fullest...'
'Be free, bro. Don't let anyone control your destiny. You're stronger than them. You just have to figure that out...cough...cough...'
Rin's breathing began to become ragged and shallow, her body growing colder.
'Hey, sister... Reine, don't go...stay here with me.' Asher tried to help her with CPR and everything he knew about first aid, but to no avail.
'Tears began to form in his black eyes, threatening to fall as he cried out his sister's name.
'Please don't go, Rin? You're all I have...'
'What would I do without you? '
' You're the one who keeps me human in this bleak world... Riiiiin'
Sadly, his only sister's soul has left this world, and he's now alone.
' Aaaaahhhh'
....
"Hey, isn't it supposed to absorb a little bit of dark energy? Why does it look like a black hole is absorbing it all?" The black skeleton said nervously, but he couldn't do anything right now, especially since he was in the transformation phase.
"I just hope nothing bad happens..." As he pleaded that he wasn't in danger, the energy beam from the sky suddenly stopped sending energy into Asher's body, and the energy surrounding him began to transform into a cocoon that surrounded him.Asher was stunned from all sides.
"What is this?" The skeleton was surprised by the sudden change but was pleased to realize that he wasn't dead and was actually alive.
Inside the cocoon, Asher's body was regenerating at an astonishing speed. His bones were growing stronger than before, and skin was rapidly covering his red flesh. His face was also returning to its former glory, and his hair was even blacker than before.
A few more minutes passed before Asher completed his transformation.
The cocoon began to disintegrate, revealing Asher's body, which looked new and stronger than before. There were also three mysterious runes tattooed on his chest. His eyes were colder and calmer than before, and the color had become more black than purple.
"Pu ... Asher asked in a hoarse, indifferent voice.
"I have no name, my lord," the skeleton replied with awe and respect.
"From today, your name will be Law, and you will be my first subordinate and deputy...the Dark Lord's Deputy," Asher said indifferently.
After saying these words, one of the three runes on Asher's chest glowed, and Law also felt something in his body. He seemed quite surprised, knowing its meaning perfectly well.
"As you wish, my lord, I will try to live up to your good fortune," Law said respectfully.
"Goodbye, then. I'll see you soon when I reach the third rank," he said, and disappeared.
