Whispers of the Tyrant
The news of Crown Prince Solis taking the king's place in Parliament spread like wildfire across the Clover Kingdom.
For years, nobles had ruled the nation unchecked, manipulating policies to benefit themselves. But now, the young prince—the so-called Tyrant—had stepped forward, throwing the noble class into chaos.
In noble households, heated discussions took place.
"The prince is overstepping! He dares to challenge the authority of the great noble houses?"
"He may be young, but his intelligence is terrifying. If he consolidates power, we will no longer be able to rule as we please."
"Perhaps this is a good thing…" a few forward-thinking nobles mused. "The kingdom needs change."
Among the commoners, however, the reaction was far different.
A Symbol of Hope?
At the marketplace, whispers turned into conversations.
"Did you hear? Prince Solis declared he would reform the kingdom!"
"He's just another noble. Why should we trust him?"
"But unlike the others, he actually did something. Remember those new schools and orphanage funds? That was him!"
The citizens, especially the poor, were divided between skepticism and hope.
Some saw him as another noble playing politics. Others, however, dared to believe that perhaps—just perhaps—this prince was different.
The Army's Loyalty
Meanwhile, within the Royal Army, the reaction was far more unified.
"Did you hear the news?" Captain Brandt, one of the kingdom's top commanders, asked his subordinates. "Prince Solis has taken over for the king in Parliament."
"That's no surprise," one soldier laughed. "That boy trained with us for years. He's more of a leader than the king has ever been."
The elite knights—many of whom had personally trained Solis—stood behind him without hesitation.
To them, he was not just a prince.
He was a warrior, a strategist, and now, a king in everything but name.
"He has my sword," the commander declared. "And my loyalty."
The King's Indifference
Back in the royal palace, Solis' father—the current king—sat in his chambers, drinking wine as a servant nervously relayed the day's events.
The king sighed.
"So my son has taken my place in Parliament?"
The servant gulped. "Y-Yes, Your Majesty."
The king took another sip and smirked. "Let him. I never wanted to deal with those old fools anyway."
His lack of concern only cemented what everyone already knew—he had no interest in ruling.
And now, his son was beginning to take control.
The Aftermath: Divisions & Support
In the days that followed, the reactions across the kingdom became clear:
• The Nobles were divided. Some saw Solis as a threat to their power, while others were curious about his vision for the future.
• The Commoners were uncertain. But whispers of his past reforms made many hopeful.
• The Army was firmly behind him. His time training with them had earned their loyalty.
• The King didn't care. He had already lost the throne in everything but name.
As Solis sat in his study, analyzing the reports, he knew one thing for certain—
His true battle for the Clover Kingdom had only just begun.
