Chapter 21 - Chapter 20 – The Uprising of the Nobles

A Brewing Storm

The aftermath of Solis' economic reforms spread across the Clover Kingdom like wildfire.

Merchants were forced to adjust their prices, while commoners rejoiced at the newfound affordability of goods. Food, potions, and magical items—once considered luxuries—were now within reach for the average citizen.

But for the noble class, this was nothing short of a declaration of war.

Inside the grand halls of the Parliament Palace, a secret meeting was being held.

Nobles' Secret Gathering

Seated at a large, ornate table were some of the most powerful noble lords in the kingdom—House Vantia, House Kranel, House Fordain, and several others.

Lord Lortell Vantia, the head of one of the wealthiest merchant families, slammed his fist on the table.

"That brat has gone too far!" he roared. "First, he murders nobles in broad daylight, then he seizes control of our trade, and now he's forming a merchant association to control us?!"

A younger noble, Marquis Edwin Kranel, sneered.

"What did you expect? He's the so-called 'Tyrant King.' A peasant-loving fool who wants to strip us of our birthright."

Duke Geralt Fordain, an older noble known for his vast lands, sighed.

"The boy is only fourteen, yet he is already shaping the kingdom. If we let him continue, he will destroy the noble hierarchy entirely."

The room fell silent.

Because they all knew—Solis Vermillion was no ordinary ruler.

Unlike the current King Kira, who was passive and uninterested, Solis was a force of nature.

And that made him dangerous.

A Plot Against the Tyrant

"We must act," Lord Vantia said grimly. "Before it is too late."

The gathered nobles nodded in agreement.

"But how?" one asked. "The boy is not just a king; he is a trained warrior. He's also protected by Julius Novachrono and the Magic Knights."

Vantia smirked.

"Then we don't strike him directly. We strike his reforms."

Noble Sabotage Begins

In the following weeks, a series of mysterious incidents began unfolding across the kingdom.

1. Merchants who supported Solis' Merchant Association were attacked.

2. Supplies meant for the Forsaken Realm mysteriously vanished.

3. Fake reports of price hikes were spread to incite public distrust.

4. Several noble-owned companies refused to comply, causing chaos in the markets.

The situation grew worse by the day.

And soon, whispers spread among the commoners—

"Maybe the king's reforms weren't such a good idea after all…?"

Solis' Response – The King's Wrath

Solis sat in his royal office, his eyes scanning the reports.

His expression was calm—but his golden aura burned with anger.

"So… they've decided to fight back."

He stood, calling for a meeting of the Royal Council.

It was time to remind the nobles why they called him 'The Tyrant.'

Julius' Warning

That evening, Julius Novachrono visited Solis privately.

"You knew they would retaliate," Julius said.

Solis nodded.

"Of course. But their mistake was thinking I wouldn't be ready."

Julius chuckled.

"You remind me of someone…"

"Who?"

Julius' eyes twinkled.

"Me, when I was younger."

Solis smirked.

"Then it's a good thing I'm not alone in this fight."

The battle for economic control had begun.

And Solis was determined to win.
