A Broken System
Solis sat in his study, documents scattered before him, detailing the current state of education in the Clover Kingdom. The findings were infuriating.
• Only nobles received formal magic training, while commoners were left to struggle on their own.
• Magic academies like the Royal Academy only accepted high-born children, ensuring the noble families retained power.
• Orphans, peasants, and forsaken realm citizens had almost no access to proper schooling, leaving them weak and unable to rise in society.
"This system was never meant to make the kingdom stronger," Solis muttered, his golden eyes narrowing. "It was built to keep the powerful in power."
That would change.
The Grand Reform – A School for All
Solis assembled his council, which now included military officials, economic advisors, and scholars.
"We are establishing a new education system," he declared. "A system that will train every child in the kingdom, regardless of their status."
The proposal was revolutionary. The nobles who remained loyal to him were uneasy, while common-born officials watched in shock and admiration.
"Your Majesty," one minister hesitated, "how do you expect to teach magic to commoners who lack the resources or talent?"
Solis smirked. "Simple. We provide the resources."
Thus, the Grand Education Reform was born:
• The First Royal Magic Academy – A new academy open to ALL citizens, teaching magic, combat, literacy, and strategic thinking.
• Standardized Magic Training – Every child, noble or commoner, would receive equal lessons in magic control and theory.
• Noble-Only Schools Are Abolished – The Royal Academy would be integrated, forcing noble and commoner students to train together.
• Education Becomes Mandatory – Every child in the kingdom must attend school until at least the age of 14.
• Scholarship Programs for Orphans & Poor Families – No child would be denied education due to poverty.
The council remained silent for a moment.
Then, one of the military generals stood and saluted. "Your Majesty, with an educated and magically trained population, our army's strength will triple within a decade."
Another noble gritted his teeth. "This… this will dilute noble magic! What if commoners surpass us?"
Solis's golden aura flared slightly, and the noble flinched.
"Then train harder."
Julius's Reaction – A Dream Fulfilled
News of the reform spread, and Julius Novachrono himself requested a private meeting with Solis.
"You've done what I only dreamed of," Julius said, his usual carefree expression replaced with deep admiration. "A kingdom where magic is not bound by birth… this will change everything."
Solis leaned back. "This is only the beginning. We need skilled instructors, new textbooks, and magic researchers. Will you assist me, Wizard King?"
Julius grinned widely. "I thought you'd never ask."
The People's Reaction – Hope & Fear
The commoners rejoiced.
"My son can finally learn magic!"
"No more being treated as weak just because of birth!"
"Our king is truly one of a kind."
But not all nobles were pleased. While some saw the wisdom in his decision, others saw it as an attack on their authority.
"The king is disrupting centuries of tradition."
"If commoners grow too powerful, what place will we have?"
"He must be stopped."
The seeds of new enemies were planted, even as the future of the kingdom began to change forever.
