Chapter 45 - Chapter 44 – Complete Control Over Nobility

The Kingdom Reshaped

With the noble rebellion crushed and its leaders executed, Solis stood as the undisputed ruler of the Clover Kingdom. The noble families who had remained neutral or loyal now faced a choice—submit entirely to his rule or risk sharing the fate of the fallen houses.

The Royal Court, once a den of scheming aristocrats, was now silent when Solis entered. The remaining noble lords sat stiffly in their seats, their gazes fixed forward, afraid to meet the eyes of their king.

Solis sat upon the throne of the Clover Kingdom, his golden eyes scanning the chamber.

"For too long, this kingdom has been run by the whims of selfish nobles," he declared. "Those who have misused their power, who have exploited the people, who have resisted progress—you are all relics of a past that will no longer exist."

His presence radiated authority, and for the first time, the nobility understood—there was no more "royal puppet," no more "figurehead king."

This was the reign of Solis, the Tyrant King.

The New Laws – Breaking the Nobility's Power

With complete control over the government, Solis implemented drastic reforms:

• Noble Land Reallocation – Lands of executed rebels were confiscated and redistributed to loyal knights, commoners, and military officers.

• Tax Reforms – Nobles were forced to pay taxes according to their wealth, ending centuries of free luxuries at the expense of the common people.

• Merchant Association Expansion – No noble could control markets without the government's approval, breaking their economic monopoly.

• Nobles Answer to the Crown – All nobles were required to report directly to the throne, and any deviation from royal law would be met with execution.

The court remained silent as the laws were read aloud. Many had thought Solis would ease his rule after the war—but instead, he had tightened his grip further.

Finally, one noble dared to speak.

"Your Majesty, surely you cannot expect us to simply surrender all authority—"

Solis's golden aura flared, and a wave of intense heat filled the room. The noble fell silent immediately, sweat forming on his brow.

"I expect you to obey," Solis said coldly. "You serve the kingdom, not your own ambitions."

No one spoke again.

The Reaction – Fear and Admiration

Outside the castle, the commoners rejoiced. The news of noble power being dismantled spread like wildfire. The streets filled with whispers of "The Tyrant King," but not with hate—with awe.

"He is not like the past rulers," one merchant said. "He actually broke the noble's hold on the country."

"Can we really trust him?" a farmer questioned. "Or is he just another noble in disguise?"

"Trust? No," an old soldier muttered. "But we can follow him."

Meanwhile, the military stood in absolute loyalty. The soldiers, having fought beside Solis, saw his strength firsthand. He was no weak king hiding behind guards—he was a warrior, a leader who stood at the front lines.

And in the shadows, new enemies watched.

Foreign nations, rival kingdoms, and surviving noble factions plotted—for a tyrant king was dangerous, but a successful tyrant king was a threat to the world order.
