Enis and I ventured into a remote forest, an unexplored area. It had been a while since we'd had a barbecue in the wild, and today we planned to catch some fish. "Enis, you set up the picnic blanket; I'll catch the fish," I said, and we split up to get started. I skillfully grabbed a fishing net and headed to the riverbank. In no time, I caught two or three fish. I'd also brought some vegetables and marinated meat from home to pair with them. When I returned with the fish, Enis had nearly finished setting up. I started a fire for the barbecue, skewered the cleaned fish on bamboo sticks, and added some marinated meat and green peppers to grill. Of course, I didn't forget the drinks—I brought beer for myself and juice for Enis. "The food looks great today; I can't wait!" Enis said with a smile. "Don't rush; it needs to cook slowly to be perfect," I replied while grilling. Soon, the green pepper skewers were ready. I sprinkled some seasoning on them and handed one to Enis. She ate with relish, and soon the fish and meat were cooked too. We savored the long-missed outdoor barbecue. "Remember the first time I grilled fish for you? It was this kind, wasn't it?" I asked. "Yeah, I remember. This type of fish is common in the demon realm," Enis recalled. We leisurely enjoyed our lunch, forgetting the tension of yesterday's training.
After the meal, I handed Enis a tissue, and we cleaned up the food scraps together before resting by the river. Feeling the moment was right, I mimicked her magic and conjured a butterfly with a ring tied to it. The butterfly fluttered toward us slowly. "What's this?" Enis asked, surprised. It landed on my hand, and I took the ring as the butterfly vanished in a flash of light. "Enis, hold out your left hand," I said. "Why?" she asked, puzzled. "Just do it," I urged. She complied, and I slipped the ring onto her ring finger, holding her hand. "What's this?" she asked again. "In my world, when a man finds his lifelong partner, he places a ring on her left hand as a vow of their bond, promising to stay together forever. This ring may be rough since I made it myself, but it holds all my love. Right now, I'm formally proposing to you. Will you marry me?" I said earnestly. Enis froze, as if time had stopped. Then tears slowly traced down her face. My simple words stirred the nearly frozen heart of the goddess of calamity. Having lived for thousands of years, she had longed for this love. No words could express her feelings at that moment. Wiping away tears, she nodded repeatedly and tightly embraced me. The embrace was deep and complete, transcending eternity.
In the Sutan Forest,Judo and Roye continued their journey on foot, as they had no horse and hadn't left the forest after a day of walking. "I'm exhausted; I've never walked this far," Roye said, wiping sweat from her brow. "Sorry, I did have a horse, but I forgot to tie it up a couple of nights ago, and it ran off in the middle of the night, haha. Plus, my flying magic can't sustain both of us for long," Judo said with a helpless smile. "Look, isn't that a wild horse over there? Can you try catching it?" Roye pointed ahead. Judo looked closely—it was his horse! He rushed over and managed to catch it. "Don't you dare run off again!" he scolded as he led it back. "So it was your horse! We're so lucky!" Roye exclaimed. The two mounted the horse and galloped forward.
