"Technically you would indeed be able to create a carbon-copy of the Theodor you are familiar with. But the problem is no longer about Mynt, Mitch. You are talking about creating a life form with intelligence and pre-existing memories based on a simulation."
KAT made a slight pause at this point, thinking of a way to break the news to Mitch without hurting him too much.
"I'm sorry to say this, but according to the information I have been born with, very few Khads ever reach the power necessary to do this. At the very least, you would have to be a Greater Khad. Maybe even higher."
The words of KAT were pessimistic at best, but did little to extinguish the newly lit flame that had taken shape inside of Mitch. He finally found something good about this mess, something to work with.
"How do I become a Greater Khad?"
"Unfortunately, I do not have enough information about that."
"Do you know how long it would take?"
"I also lack information on that part."
"Can you at least help me make a spirit copy of Theodor?"
"That would still require you to be a Greater Khad, at the very least, unfortunately."
"Then what are you good for? You are able to do nothing but things away from me. First my world, then my identity, and finally, after giving me some hope, you ruthlessly rip it away by basically telling me it is all speculations. What is there that you can tell me then?"
"All I know related to this is that you have been given 10 Tellus years. Another important piece of information is that the results will depend on your followers' strength. But what do I know, right? I'm just a good-for-nothing voice stuck in your head."
"Sorry, I think the heat is getting to me a bit." Faced with a dead end, endless disappointment, and a harsh rebuttal, Mitch decided to first fully understand his situation before doing anything rash.
And that started by fully familiarizing himself with his new circumstances.
[{Manifestation}]
[Grade-E skill]
[Khads can use their Mynt to manifest anything they can imagine. The more complex what they are trying to manifest is, the larger the consumption of Mynt]
[Example: the solar system the user is familiar with requires 75 Mynt to create (fundamental interactions, such as gravity, strong force, seak force, and electromagnetism are included for a fraction of their real cost, but can be changed by using Mynt)]
"This skill seems to allow me to create things by consuming Mynt. How does that work? Do I just wave my hand and shout 'let there be light!', and a sun pops into existence? I will have to experiment a bit with this to get the grasp of what I can and cannot do."
[{Blessing}]
[Grade-E skill]
[Khads can use their Mynt to bless a creature believing in their existence. The more the blessing intervenes with the world, the larger the consumption of Mynt]
[Example: user can bless his followers with rain, strength, revelations, fertility, and more. Creatures born in the user's world are also targetable by this skill]
"So the basic skills are there to help a Khad build their world and increase their amount of followers. Maybe when I get more proficient in using these powers I could manifest Theodor's body and give him a 'Blessing of Wisdom' or something to make him remember his life on Tellus."
[{Gene Tree}]
[Grade-U skill]
[Every living being under the user can gain mutations, both somatic and germline, from what they have consumed. More fundamental mutations require more energy, genetic material, and time to perform]
"Does this mean I can create things like Gu?"
Gu, an ancient practice on Tellus, originating from the far east. The theory behind it was to put several bugs and insects—all with their own unique toxin—in a jar, and then seal it.
These critters would then kill and eat each other to concentrate this toxin into one organism, which would then be consumed by larvae. It was thought that the last surviving larva would obtain an incredibly potent toxin.
"Yes, you would be able to make Gu with this skill. Long story short, this skill can help a species immune to all disease, resistant to all damage, powerful beyond belief. Was this not one of the reasons you became a researcher? To find a way to truly become a God among common men?"
Mitch was reeling from this rollercoaster of emotions. He went from being on top of the world, to hitting rock bottom, to once again feeling like he was invincible, and then to being curb stomped for the second time.
He was about to go crazy from having his emotions played with.
Unbeknownst to him, he had once again returned to looking like the calm and confident researcher he was when he walked onto the scene for his announcement.
He soon caught onto this change in attitude and immediately felt disgusted with himself. 'Weird, why am I accepting the situation so quickly?'
"The first step seems to be creating a world, but how much can I actually do with 100 Mynt? I also have to come up with what species I want living there and what else to use my Mynt on."
Although he was planning his next move, he continued to search within himself for the reason behind his sudden change in attitude.
"I would suggest looking for ways to synergize energies and power systems." The KAT once again spoke in a jolly, light voice, happy that Mitch had finally calmed down from the big revelation.
As those words were uttered, Mitch's thoughts stopped in their tracks, and he started swaying from left to right.
"Power systems?!"
