You may not find this makes much sense. An urban world of fantastical creatures with the majority of the human population simply unaware - any proof dismissed as delusion or psychosis.
**NARRATOR**
"Arya, what are you doing to yourself..? Seriously... Arya?!"
Jerking awake, neck thinly coated in sweat, Arya is just... lying there. Seconds tick by. Minutes tick by. A blaring alarm which usually leaves Arya unaffected in her slumber finally gets her up, truly awake, feeling sickly with greasy hair falling over her old t-shirt. Some split ends spill from her from bangs - she just pulls them out.
A shower will wake her up.
Orientation will wake her up.
A week passes.
The first lecture will wake her up.
Studying will wake her up.
She's not really the sort of person who's wakes up once she falls asleep.
**REHYA POV**
"Hey! Jake!"
"Hi, how's orientation week going."
"Normal, how about you?"
"I skipped the first two days man, I missed the welcome pack."
"Woah... Jacob Evans, skipping out on something free. That's a first. Did you oversleep?"
"No."
"Right, so you woke up bright and early. Mhm. Let me introduce you to some people, I met some upperclassmen, one of them can get you unlimited library books as long as you're not annoying."
"Nah, it's fine, I'll do it tomorrow, I'm gonna head home." Jake says as he casually strolls off.
"No it's not fine! We have a lecture in half an hour. I swear Jake aaandd he can't hear me. Moron."
I'm too tired for this. I'm exhausted. I don't have to manage him just because we're friends! Just. Breathe. Sip some of your water - remember what Olly says.
'Gotta find Arya' she thinks to herself before lazily opening the convoluted university website and map on her phone. Later she finds the Engineering building was the closest one to her dorms - and Arya has been on the bench outside waiting for 47 minutes - or so she says.
