I froze.
What? That didn't make sense.
With the memories I had inherited, I was certain... not just me, but everyone was certain I had no divinity. That was why I wasn't even acknowledged as an Awakened god. That was why I was an anomaly.
Yet now, the system claimed I had a Primary Divinity?

⟪ SYSTEM INTEGRATION COMPLETE ⟫
A rush of something unfamiliar surged through me, like a connection being forged. It wasn't painful, but it wasn't comfortable either. It was changing me, embedding itself into my existence. I clenched my fists, steadying myself.
A god's divinity defined everything about them, their power, their purpose, their very right to exist in the Divine Realm. But I had never heard of a Secondary Divinity before. Even more unsettling was the fact that Game Developer wasn't my main divinity.
Not focusing on things I couldn't control, I did what I had seen in countless system-based mangas and novels. I took a deep breath and shouted.
Status Open!

Once I finished reading all the skill information, I realized how useful each of these abilities would be for game development. But what really caught my attention was [Energy Conversion LV1]. It was the answer to a problem that had been plaguing me ever since I arrived here.
With this skill, I finally understood how I could start gathering faith energy. Without my primary divinity unlocked, my believers wouldn't know who god to pray to, which meant I couldn't rely on divine worship to gain faith.
Based on the knowledge I gained from my memories and studying in the library. One mortal can only convert 1 faith per week even if forced to pray daily. No matter how strong or weak a mortal was, that was the limit when it came to faith, and faith cannot be forced!
That was the limit for other gods, but not for me. The stronger my believers were, the more mana they possessed, and in turn, the more faith I could extract from them. It was a strange, yet advantageous twist. While others were bound by the restrictions of mortal limitations, I could leverage their strength to amplify my own.
Now things were starting to get good. I could feel the excitement building inside me, the kind of thrill I only used to get when playing the best and most exciting games back on Earth. No more mindless grinding, no more shallow achievements. This was a game where I could shape the world, and I was finally starting to understand the rules.
With 50 CP already available to me and a 1000 faith at my disposal, I decided it was time to put my newfound abilities to use. I activated [Energy Conversion LV1], channeling all of my faith into more CP. The process was seamless, and I could feel the surge of energy flowing through me as my faith was converted into a tangible resource.
[Mana]: 0
[Faith]: 1000 ⇒ 0
[CP]: 50 ⇒ 150
With only 150 CP, which I wasn't sure was a lot or not, I decided to focus first on understanding the world for the test. We were placed far from each other, scattered across different kingdoms. Each of us was in a completely different region of the world, which meant our starting points were vastly different. Some might have landed in bustling cities, others in quiet rural areas. I couldn't help but wonder how the other gods would handle their starting situations.
First, I needed to know what type of people inhabited the kingdom I was placed in. The planet was massive, easily five times the size of Earth I needed to gather more information, what kind of civilizations or cultures existed here? What level of technology had they achieved? And perhaps most importantly, what types of games they might like?
I used one day of the test getting to know my surroundings, familiarizing myself with the land and its people. I quickly discovered that this planet, despite its vast size, wasn't completely foreign to me. In fact, it had a shocking resemblance to Earth.
The technology was far from what I remembered. It was as if I had been gone for a century or more. The buildings looked different, and even the internet felt like a remnant of an older era. The more I dug, the more I found that confirmed my suspicion.
This planet is Earth...
Connecting to the internet my mind went blank.
The date on the screen sent a chill through me. I collapsed when I realized the date marked the beginning of Earth's apocalypse. A cataclysmic event that happened just before I vanished. Portals had opened, unleashing monstrous creatures that decimated humanity.
Amid the chaos, humans began harnessing mana, using it to fight back. Hunters emerged, stabilizing the planet over the next 100 years. But despite their efforts, much of Earth remained overrun by monsters, and the population had dwindled to 3 billion.
The Earth I knew was gone, replaced by a broken, monster-infested world. The game I thought I was playing had changed, this was now a fight for the survival of what's left of my old life.
