The Flamebrand Knight, his armor a sleek silver and deep red, and in his helmet sat only pure raw fire.
He held a sword that matched his armor, a deep red blade with silver lining and patterns that clawed up and down the blade.
The moment we stepped into his domain,
he slashed leaving an arc of flames that ran across the whole room unlike Cale's bright scorching fires it burned in a crimson hue.
[Space Magic: Spatial Field]
I teleported out the way while Cale and Lucas swiftly dodged the incoming attack.
The knight lunged at Lucas mid-air not giving him a chance to recover, but Cale met his flames with his own.
Fighting fire with fire, they unleashed an onslaught of attacks
each getting met with the sword of their opponent.
It was as if dark was meeting light as Cale's scorching flames met the knight's deep red flames.
'So goddamn hot.'
Lucas shot a multitude of bullets into the knight as they fought, and I started casting some spells.
[Space Magic: Hardened Space]
[Space Magic: Condensed Space]
Not only did I create a multitude of shards, but I also condensed them strengthening their lethality.
Cale backed up from the knight allowing me and Lucas let out a barrage of attacks.
[Space Magic: Chaining Sever]
[Mana Shot Barrage]
My shards slammed into the knight as I started casting sever after sever,
and Lucas' gun had mana twirling all around it as it unleashed shot after shot.
Cale saw the opportunity and his sword struck down bursting in tendrils of crackling fire.
[Sunsworn Swordsmanship: Summer Sky Dance]
Arcs and wheels of scorching flames ran down and across the room as Cale swung his sword at the knight.
And after all that?
The knight stood with his sword hanging low in his hands.
He plunged his sword into the ground and crimson flames erupted in every direction.
Hissing vengeful flames crackled and surged as Lucas narrowly avoided it.
However, Cale didn't back down nor run from the fire.
He met it head-on with his own flames.
His purifyingly warm flames fluttered and danced from his blade.
He raised his sword in an overhead stance, and it radiated in an all-encompassing glow.
Light filled the room and yet instead of blinding light, it radiated with warmth and purity.
[Unique Skill: The Final Stand]
"This idiot."
I muttered as light and dark clashed like waves against each other's growing hunger.
Cale stood, cascading brilliant flames flowing from his blade. A beacon of shimmering radiance cutting through the crimson.
'Goddamn.'
Me and Lucas crouched above on a platform of hardened space I was barely able to maintain.
A few other Cales appeared beside him wielding the same radiate flames as he did.
at a moment's notice, all those flames roared feasting on those crimson flames.
The crimson flames fluttered and dwindled but stood like a beacon against Cale's purifying flames.
[Unique Skill: Advent of The Phantasmagoria]
[Unique Skill: Singularity]
However,
We weren't done yet.
Lucas's hands fluttered like a curtain as he put them over each other
and both my index fingers and thumbs made circles that interlaced like chains.
I touched the tips of my middle fingers together...
"Phantasmagoria."
"Singularity."
"Sunsworn Swordsmanship, Radiant Sun's Beneficiary Beacon."
Three incantations each echoed from our mouths and those radiate flames devoured and eclipsed everything that stood in its way.
The crimson flames flickered away and the Flamebrand Knight stood taking the weight of our radiance.
Now what happened next?
No clue, I completely collapsed from Mana Exhaustion.

"It's no fair you get all the cool moments, Cale."
"Not my fault you guys don't got guts."
"Belle probably would've collapsed if she saw how cool you were in there."
"Oh, shut up! would you?"
Cale had his hand on his head as he looked at Lucas in annoyance
However, Lucas didn't even turn to meet his gaze.
"An unfamiliar ceiling."
"Hey, you, you're finally awake."
Cale chuckled and looked back towards the door as Belle walked in.
"What did you guys do out there to come back like this?"
"Cale got us in trouble with girls he was hitting on."
"Huh?"
Cale and Lucas bantered and fought like two little kids though it was cut short.
Something gripped onto the back of Cale's shirt as he looked up to see Belle grabbing him.
'Rip.'
I clasped my hands together and gestured to Lucas to join in.
Cale was "escorted" out of the room leaving me and Lucas.
"It's so unfair he gets a girlfriend, and we don't."
I said looking up at Lucas who was eerily quiet.
He just simply stood there looking off at what used to be Cale and Belle.
A soft smile etched on his face.
'Ugh... Can't even be single in peace, here.'
"Hah, you'll find somebody soon, trustttt."
Lucas assured while turning to me.
"You're single too bastard."
"Yeah..."
'Did I say something wrong?'
Lucas went quiet for a little bit before heading out to the balcony.
I specifically wanted the guest room with the balcony, so I could look off it cooly.
However, Lucas seemed to take my place as he sat there lost in thought.
'The academy is coming up. I already managed to get in with a scholarship and these guys are probably enrolled too.'
I thought of the future, Novius Academy. The place where we'll meet the main cast.
'I'll become the top magic department student. I won't let anyone beat me in magic.'
She didn't know it, but I already saw her as my rival. The Mage, Lily Feliehn, and Cale's sister.
The departments simply dictated your three other classes, but not your main class.
Only the ranking tournament decides your class.
'We all need to get into Class S.'
At the top of the first years, our aim for the academy.
Lumen and the Duke won't be coming back before we go to the academy,
but today should be the day the protagonist, Henry, comes back.
Henry Vilhelm, The Shadow Prince.
'Can I beat him?'
