Chapter 155 - Reverse Distortion

When Luoshu spotted the figure in the containment chamber, his heart nearly stopped—had Omega-12 caught him red-handed?

What now?

His mind raced through abilities:

Mental Enslavement?

Martyr's Light?

Teleportation?

Apathy Field?

Then he noticed something odd.

The operative wasn't moving.

He stood frozen in the corner, staring blankly at his Kant Counter—not even looking up at Luoshu.

Unobservability still works.

But how?

Luoshu approached, studying the man.

The operative had near-zero presence. If not for the Kant Counter's beeping, Luoshu wouldn't have noticed him at all.

This wasn't antimemetics—it was a reality-bending ability suppressing his own existence.

Useful. Very useful.

Luoshu snatched the Kant Counter and pointed it at the operative.

The reading: 0.01 Hume.

1 centiHume.

According to Foundation docs:

Even in perfect isolation, environmental Hume fluctuates by ±9 cH.

Cities see single-digit Hume swings.

But 0.01? That wasn't human.

Most Omega-12 operatives had individual Hume ≥200. This guy was closer to nothingness.

At this level, reality should've crumbled around him—yet here he stood, unharmed.

Only a reality bender could pull this off.

No wonder Luoshu hadn't noticed him.

This ability was perfect.

Containment Gambit

Luoshu dragged the operative—still oblivious—into the decontamination chamber and locked him in.

The Anomalous Item Compendium updated:

[Item #: Omega-12-C-019]

[Name: Aiolos]

[Class: Euclid]

[...]

[Ability: Reverse Distortion]

"Think reality benders only erode the environment? Our Sagittarius Gold Saint (Note: Aiolos) shot himself into the wall... Wrong script! This ability inverts self-Hume erosion, making you uniquely irrelevant!"

[Status: Successfully Contained]

[O: x2]

Luoshu grinned. Thank you, Foundation. Thank you, Area-14. Thank you, Omega-12.

Only downside: just two uses.

(Aiolos, mentally: "You contained me AND want to be friends?!")

Omega-12's Meltdown

As Luoshu drove off, he waved cheerfully at passing Omega-12 Humvees.

Meanwhile, Barbie arrived at SCP-939's unit—again finding nothing.

Worse, her operative was missing.

"Aiolos?! Where are you?!"

Banging echoed from the decontamination chamber. "Boss! I'm in here!"

She yanked him out. "Why were you hiding?!"

Aiolos blinked. "I... don't know?"

"Did you see the bender? What did they look like?"

"There was a bender?!"

Barbie lost it.
