A family from another town moved to GreenLand back in 1949. GreenLand was known as the most peaceful city throughout America.
They stayed in an apartment downtown called Misery's Amazing Apartment— the name was so bad that they thought for the last time before they checked in.
The apartment was popular though and there were many people living there.
"Here's your key! Your room is on the second floor, B8 at the end of the hallway. If there's anything weird, don't hesitate to ask me. Enjoy!"
They went upstairs and the hallway is full of people doing yogas, dancing and others. Lorie was kind of not liking their new place.
They finally reached the door to their room and heard someone crying inside. Lorie's Father, Jay, turned the key and opened it.
The tension in the atmosphere was rising because they did not know what to expect. Jay opened the door and saw blood trails going to the left. They screamed and all of them ran away and told everyone in the hallway
"Something's going on in our room! There's blood trails!"
The people in the hallway panicked and went inside their rooms. But the other people checked it out and filmed it. Jay reported it to the cashier below and called the police.
The manager was arrested for assault and many people believed that the apartment was the one who took innocent lives. Eight dead bodies were found inside the bathroom in Room B8.
All of the people packed up and left the apartment. Because of that, the apartment got bankrupt. Everyone that was near the apartment left and got scared of it.
The apartment eventually shut down. It was also broadcasted in the news.
Everyone thought that Greenland was the safest place but in reality, the darkness was just hiding inside the room.
The Anderson Family decided to just check-in in a hotel for it to be safer and secured. They lived there for three months. Everything around the hotel was improving.
"How lovely this hotel is! I mean look, all of the rooms were improving so much! It feels like we're in New York." Marie, Jay's wife said.
"I'd love to stay here forever!" Jay replied.
Lorie and his little brother, Jayce, got bored. They asked their mother if they could go outside.
"Sure, honey. When the clock hits 5, you should be here. You have 5 hours left, go go go!"
They left the hotel and ran towards the park. They played there for hours and met more friends in their neighborhood. A kid suddenly asked them
"You guys wanna go to an antique shop? It's just nearby and just opened again."
They all nodded to the kid and followed him to the store. There were many people inside the store, they sat on a bench inside.
Some of the people inside the shop left. The kids were all having fun inside. The cashier suddenly came up to them and asked,
"Would you like to see more valuable antiques besides the ones that are inside this shop?"
"No" Tim told him and the others nodded too. The cashier closed all the windows and shut the curtains. He also locked the door.
The cashier grabbed an old, rusty axe and slashed them one by one. The kids hid under the table while the people were screaming for help and banging the entrance.
But, all of them got slashed into pieces. The kids watched the poor victims get chopped by an axe.
The walls had blood stains and the floor was almost flooded with blood. The cashier went to the storage room to grab some boxes and packed the bodies in.
Tim signalled them to go behind the shelves. They ran towards it but one of the kids tripped into a hand which caused some noise.
Tim heard the door powerfully opened and the footsteps were going towards them. He had no choice but to leave his friend behind.
"We can't leave him!" Alex whispered as they were grabbed by Tim.
The little boy screamed for help and reached her hand. But the cashier quickly slashed her with the axe and her body was ripped into half. The girl's eyes were still open.
The cashier grabbed the upper body in her hair and threw it in the storage room. The kids saw everything and they wailed as the man left.
Tim covered their mouths for it can still be heard. A man entered the store and cheered the cashier up.
"Good job, Mark. I'll give you a raise for this. Check the shop in case someone is still here and alive. We are already prepared for our new business!" The man went to the storage room and slammed the door.
"That was the owner, Michael Harrington," Phil told them both.
"So he was the reason why everyone is going missing?" Alex asked.
"How the hell do we get out of here!" Tim screamed at them.
"Shh, you're stage whispering." Alex covered Tim's mouth.
Footsteps were going towards them. Their hearts were pounding.
"Come out, come out wherever you are!"
The cashier shouted.
"I think he heard us." Alex whispered.
The cashier punched every shelf and pushed them towards the wall. They immediately acted fast and went to the end of the shelves and crawled towards the counter.
Lorie went back to the park and looked for Tim but he was not there.
"I think your brother's not here." Lisa told her and was worried about it
"No, it can't be. It's almost 5:00!" Lorie panicked.
A woman approached her with a black dress. Both of them smiled awkwardly.
"Are you finding your brother?" the woman asked.
"Yes, did you see him? He's wearing a white T-shirt and baggy pants.
"Yes, follow me."
"Sure"
They followed her into the backdoor and the owner of the shop was also behind. It was so dark that the only source of light was a cigarette in his mouth.
"Michael, I brought more to turn into."
Michael grabbed the two children and both were screaming. He passed it to his two bodyguards inside the storage room and they went up the stairs.
There was something moving inside the boxes beside the dark corner but the bodyguards didn't mind and continued to drag them upstairs.
"Help! Somebody help!" Lisa shouted.
Mark heard the noise inside the storage room and went there. This was their chance to get out of there. Alex tried to kick the door but it didn't budge. Tim and Phil moved the shelf in silence but as they were moving it, a glass fell that contained an ancient ring.
"Shit, we're dead."
Both of them moved it towards the door rapidly before the cashier could even open it. Tim and Phil hold it while the cashier is trying to get in. Both of them were trying their very hardest and used all their force.
All of a sudden, the door was fired with gunshots and both of them got down. The cabinet that they were holding fell to them and eventually landed on Phil's head.
He took a last look at his friend and then, his head was mushed and a piece of Phil's face went to his face but he stayed silent.
Alex successfully opened the door and ran as fast as he could. It was already night time and he went to the hotel where Tim's family were staying.
He arrived at their front door and banged the door so hard.
"Please help, your son is in danger."
He banged the door again but no one answered. He sat there, feeling down. Thoughts were coming in his mind,
"Can I save him?".
He looked at his right and saw an entity with glowing eyes. It ran towards him and its shadow was running against the walls. Alex entered the elevator and pressed the ground floor button.
The door was closing too slowly so the entity catched up. Its hands entered the doors of the elevator but the force of the elevator was too strong.
The elevator's door closed in an instant and he got down safely. But suddenly, all of the workers in the hotel were not there anymore. He ran outside and there was an ice-cream truck driving in circles.
The sound was very nostalgic but after the other incident before, all the ice cream trucks were discontinued and destroyed.
"How could such an ice cream truck survive the explosion?"
The ice cream truck explodes violently and its parts flung everywhere. The wheel of the truck suddenly flung to his direction and he did not react immediately.
Alex woke up back to reality and found himself lying in the hallway.
"I have to get out of here"
He exited the hotel and saw an ice cream truck going towards him, just like in his dream. The sound of an ice cream truck was just like the others but as he was being chased, the music became sped up even more.
He hid in a house's fence and the ice cream truck stopped. He waited for seconds and the ice cream truck left. Alex looked at the road and saw a man holding an ice cream. He was staring at him and was smiling intensely.
All of a sudden, he ate the ice cream aggressively then pulled a knife. He wiped his mouth and began to run towards the boy. The ice cream man continued to swing the knife yet all of it was not reaching the boy.
Alex came across a vent and crawled under it. He didn't have much time and crawled underneath. The ice cream man's hand eventually reached his legs and pulled him. Alex grabbed pillars and objects from the ground.
In the end, he was tugged by the man. He fetched him and threw him in the truck.
"You're just a kid! I am a man!" the ice cream man shouted and giggled.
Inside the truck were surgical instruments and weapons. The light inside was dim but he still was eager to look around for any things.
"What an idiot man." Alex said and grabbed an axe and pierced it through the door. He chopped it off but it was too late. The ice cream truck has arrived at the shop already. The ice cream man grabbed the kid in the back of the truck and covered its screams with his bare hands. It smelled like blood— it smelled so awful also. They entered the store, Tim was at the counter— covered with lumps and tied up. The cashier was guarding the boy.
At some point, the ice cream man walked toward the door. A mirror of shards was on his way and he stepped on it. The ice cream man yelled in pain and slipped through the shelves beside him. Alex was dropped in the cabinet in front of the door.
The shelves fell— in a domino-like perhaps. At the end of the shelves connect the lights in the shop. Once the last shelves fell, the lights also did.
The lights were all large and one of them went towards the cashier. It hitted the side of the cashier's face and it was bent all the way through. He fell and his head hitted the counter to the floor.
"Oh my fucking god! No!" The ice cream man shouted in terror.
Alex ran to the storage room and hid under the boxes. He saw a light coming downstairs and immediately moved his eyes away to avoid contact.
