She saw a man in a red suit, his voice slightly teasing, "Miss, you should lose some weight. Otherwise, I might not be able to catch you next time."
Hearing this, Mary couldn't help but give a bitter smile. She looked at the man before her, filled with gratitude. She knew she was saved.
Once Deadpool safely placed Mary on the ground, he turned and grabbed his dual swords, ready to attack Vulture. Mary shyly asked the man in the red suit who saved her, "May I know your name? You saved my life; how can I repay you?"
Though she didn't know what the man under the mask looked like, as a teenage girl, she always harbored romantic fantasies about heroes. At this moment, Mary thought she had met her true love.
Surprisingly, Deadpool was unmoved by Mary's beauty, simply saying, "The name's Deadpool. No need to repay me; I'm not interested in green tea." Deadpool found it odd himself, as the woman before him exuded a strong "green tea" vibe that made him uninterested. He thought this woman wasn't as charming as Aunt May from his universe; this little "green tea" should be left for Spidey.
Just then, Vulture suddenly charged from the side, his face filled with rage and fury. Deadpool, prepared, swiftly dodged Vulture's attack and countered. The two instantly engaged in a fierce battle.
