Chapter 3 - Becoming my game-like character

Yes, how could Amar forget Elena?

After the brutal rejection by the infamous campus-belle…..She was the first virtual character whom Amar had a crush upon.

Worthy of being a top-notch 3D character, her online fans were countless.

During his first gameplay as a novice beta tester, Amar tried his best to win her over, spending countless hours trying to impress an online character.

After much hard-work, finally when the task to confess to her arrived, a shocking truth shocked the entire gaming community.

Elena is a lesbian.

She is not a straight girl!

Even more shocking was the news that on the same day, Sameera, another top character in the game with thousands of online fans, openly admitted to her secret relationship with Elena.

Almost all online fan groups went into a frenzy. In a single day, two most beautiful NPCs crushed their hearts. With a sincere hate, everyone loathed the game developers.

But the one who was the biggest hit was our boy, Amar!

He was left speechless and in helplessness could only sleep in despair.

Like your average guy, suffering from heartbreak, he would have spent the following week in sadness, working excessively to wash away the feelings of a broken heart, but destiny has something else planned for him.

Who would have thought he would suddenly die and his soul would transport to the game world he always used to play during his free time.

Getting out of the hallway, Amar called a meeting of all the knights present in his estate.

"Everytime I looked at it in the game, I was struck with awe. The reality is no different."

"The Rana family really deserves their infamous title- The mighty warrior group."

Looking at the team of 500 capable muscular men standing in front of him in perfectly disciplined lines, Amar was fully satisfied.

"With them, at least the security of the big estate where I live is fully guaranteed."

After going through the names of the captains and other important guards, Amar started arranging them to do various miscellaneous tasks like building a proper wall around their big estate, sending a small party to look for minerals, sending recruitment notices to the nearby villages and so on.

Knowing the future plot in advance, he was in a hurry to increase the strength of his private army as fast as he could.

The place where he was currently living was the Lionsburg kingdom.

Day by day, the political as well as territorial situation of the kingdom was deteriorating rapidly.

The inner aristocratic faction wanted to remove the current Clenorid royal family from power, the neighboring kingdoms wanted to invade to seize the rich-fertile lands, while the countryside had become a regular target for bandits and foreign tribes.

Amidst all this, only the Rana family stood on the king's side.

To stabilise the situation for the time-being, Rana family ultimately reached an agreement with the Clenorid family to become their ally throughout the ongoing unrest.

Of course, the Clenorid Family paid them some rich coal mines as well as vast acres of fertile land to keep them tied to their side.

In the end, to solidify the alliance: The third son of the Rana family, Amar Rana was officially married to the second daughter of the royal family Elena Clenorid.

For the higher ups in the Rana family, Amar was just an indispensable tool with which they can help the King.

To them, he was just a talentless, little errand boy without any remarkable skills.

After giving a few acres of land plus an old estate in the countryside along with 500 normal to some medium-level soldiers, the intention of the higher-ups was clear: They wanted to alienate Amar from the main family, thus directly cutting off any potential chance in the future politics of the country.

To affirm this fact, in the volatile countryside where he was sent, not even a single wizard or support class like priests or healers were sent in his party of 500 men.

"Hmmm, what a bunch of old guys!"

Recalling everything clearly this time, Amar just snorted.

He particularly didn't dislike this arrangement.

"Actually, it's good."

"Since I am in the countryside along the border of the dark forest, I can basically do anything I want without caring about what's happening inside the country."

"With this setting, I have literally complete freedom."

"In the worst case, if things go south, I will just take my people across the border and fled to the dark forest."

"That forest is very big, human kingdoms don't have much influence over there."

After making plans for tomorrow and reviewing the estate's arrangements, it took a complete day for Amar.

In the evening, he finally returned to his home.

On the sofa, Elena was lying absent-mindledly.

Her eyes seemed vacant as if she had lost her soul, her body only became a shell of her former self.

"Your husband is still alive and healthy, so why are you looking like a widow in distress?"

Amar sneered at her, who showed a natural pitiful appearance.

Hearing his familiar cold voice, Elena's entire body jolted up.

Reluctantly, she turned her head to look at the speaker of such villainous words.

"You asshole! You think you are my husband just because you slept with me?"

"I clearly tell you I love someone else!"

"I will never belong to you!"

Like a tiger returning from the brink of death upon seeing its archenemy, Elena's body seemed to have mysteriously regained her vitality.

The resentment and anger in her words were too deep. Hearing her tone, which normal person in their common sense would dare say the woman in front of them was a married person, but so was the irony.

Hearing her reproachful voice, Amar just chuckled lightly.

"The person you meant..."

"...Is she perhaps Sameera?"

Hearing those words, Elena was thunderstruck.

In her magnanimous-big eyes, Amar's smile was like a devil walking slowly towards her straight from the deepest floors of hell.
