Loud keyboard clicks, an empty soda can hitting the floor, and a spinning chair rocking back and forth.
That was the sound of my glory.
"One more damn hit... take it... take it... TAAAKE IT!"
The boss's HP bar dropped so fast even I was a little surprised.
My name? Doesn't matter.
I'm 20, unemployed, broke, living alone in an apartment that smells like instant noodles and old energy drinks. Nothing to brag about.
But even if I was a failure in real life...
...I was good at one thing.
Chronos Realms.
An MMORPG where everyone wanted to be some shiny knight or a mage blowing up cities with one spell. A fantasy world full of S-rank classes, legendary magic, epic monsters, and of course... the final boss: Rank SSS.
But I wasn't just anyone.
I was the idiot who played Kain.
Yeah. Kain.
A low-tier character, forgotten by the devs and mocked by the entire community.
A guy with a mask and just one active skill: Repulsion Manipulation.
The skill?
Basically created a reverse force between objects.
No direct damage.
No summons.
No speed buffs.
No mounts.
That's it.
And everyone said the same thing:
"Completely useless."
"That character's bugged."
"No damage, no defense..."
"Whoever plays Kain has serious issues."
"That one's just for trolling."
And still, I played him.
Why?
No idea.
Maybe because I had nothing else.
Or maybe...
No one else had the patience to see what this character was really capable of.
I played Kain for five years.
Made videos and guides to help people who struggled with him.
Who watched them?
My cat. My roommate. And one Indian guy I swear was a bot.
But now?
Now I was here.
Melting the HP bar of the final boss in the game.
The SSS Rank boss everyone said was impossible to solo.
While I shredded it, the random party I matched with started freaking out.
"LOOK AT THAT DAMAGE!"
"HE'S NOT EVEN TAKING HITS!"
"H-HACKER! THIS GUY'S HACKING!"
I just smiled.
The boss's life hit zero.
The colossus fell.
And the loot rained down on my screen.
That golden glow, those over-the-top effects...
Legendary drops.
"GET LOST, LOSERS! THEY'RE ALL MINE!"
"HEY, YOU PSYCHO, SHUT UP!"
My roommate shouted from the other room.
"SCREW YOU..."
"NO, SCREW YOU!"
Then the monitor started glowing brighter than normal.
"Wait... is it supposed to be this white?"
The light kept growing. Like a giant camera flash swallowing everything.
"AHHHH... MY EYES..."
Boom.
Darkness.
Silence.
"Shit."
"I actually got sent into another world."
