The demon latched his hands around hers in a firm grip and began to drag her inside the forbidden house. Wish screamed at the top of her voice while resisting the force of being potentially kidnapped and never to be seen again once they had their way with her. Terror flashed across her face like red lights in traffic as the demon was more than determined to get her to see the graveyard freak, even if it was against her will.
Wish begged, squirmed and even said all the curses she was shocked she knew of at the demon dragging her beyond the threshold of the haunted house and into the slightly dark and lonely hallways. She cried to be let go and even swore to have this act reported to the police once she steps out of here alive, but it's like the demon grew irritated the more with her whining and mumbled words out like; finally, he would be able to rest once in a while in his coffin, or they wouldn't have to labor so hard on a stupid painting without rest to please him.
What the fuck?
Wish mind kept swirling in-between fear and in disbelief. She quickly used her other free hand, which was her right, to fish out for her phone and probably managed to dial 911 and call for help. But the act was so clumsy, and she was a bit impatient about it until the point of her phone falling off her hands, and it felt like her only flame of survival had been extinguished. Painful tears welled up at the corner of her eyes as she stared at her phone, her hands reaching out to grab it in a vain attempt.
The demon kept dragging her down this ridiculously long hallway that was lined with a darker shade of gold with a matching purple color. Haunting paintings of creatures meant for hell lining her left and right, making her heart beat faster.
''Let me go, or I'll scream so loudly enough to bring this house down!''
They paused before a grand staircase that led to the second floor. The demon slows down to hiss right at her face in disapproval. It caused a slight tremble in her spine. She also considered how helpful it would be if she delivered a blow so deadly enough to crush his bony face. Can't it feel pain enough to let go and have her running from this place?
''Then it will be my pleasure to rip your throat out of you, Your Highness,'' It hissed back so close to her face and surprisingly not having a terrible breath for a monster like she imagined. The title at the back of his threat was obvious sarcasm, and he seemed to enjoy mocking it. She gazed at the hooded face of the monster in astonishment while struggling to be freed from him.
''It will also be my pleasure to pull every bone's out of your body,''
The hooded monster stiffened. Wish swore she felt its slight dis ease and the tension that seized him up at that. It weighed heavily on his iron-clad grip around her wrist, and it was beginning to hurt to bring tears to her eyes. The monster stood in her line of sight, blocking the other entity approaching from behind him, but the smooth, sweet and calming voice was enough to know who it was.
''While feeding and choking you on the skin you are fortunate to have around you if you don't let go of her hands and stop saying nonsense to her face.''
Before she had the opportunity to blink, her hands were freed, and she watched how the hooded monster crumbled, lying face flat on the dark-red carpeted floors as he began to beg for mercy in a language she fought hard to grasp.
The entity of her dreams and recent nightmares stood on a stair as his dark blue, almost red gaze darkened heavily on the both of them. It made Wish gulp while slowly pushing back. He said all those words so smoothly, like it was butter in his mouth and honey around his blood-red lips.
It was actually logically impossible for someone to look this good and otherworldly. She couldn't help but stare at his regal form and wonder what on earth he was.
A real Vampire?
But the Vampires she reads in books and saw in all those Twilight movies didn't really look all that good in comparison to what was before her eyes. He stood there dressed like he was some mythological Hades from the underworld with a face as fine, smooth and shiny as a demon spawned from hell to encourage all kinds of lustful sin on the surface of the earth.
If vampires indeed looked this ethereal, it would be nice to have them…
Wish snapped out of it at the edge of completely falling in love with his charms and looks. It felt sinful even staring at him, and she didn't want to indulge that much in her already crumbling life.
Wish has never gazed or seen anything this beautiful in her entire life. She lowered her gaze and somehow felt so unworthy. Wish nervously began to turn around as slowly as possible before making a mad dash out of here.
''Darling,''
It was all enough to bring her to a brief pause. Her heart thumping hard and loud in her chest that she was certain Haley's baby in her womb could sense her distress. The uncertainty of what might rise forth in the silence that followed scared her.
''I will catch you this time if you run.''
It was as if time itself paused as the tension within her grew.
''And when I do, I might do something to you, against your will, to keep you bound to me for all eternity.''
Wish eyeballs darted back and forth wondering what the hell he meant. Her big brown eyes widened on him as he stood rooted to a spot, observing her heatedly under those heavy eyelashes.
There was a dark vibe he easily influenced them within this room. A vibe that made her spine tingle and demanded submission. She only came here to retrieve her work card and not to be threatened by an occult entity and the master.
Wish decided against running for now until she fully understood just who she was dealing with.
He gazed down at her, and she stared back, a bit scared.
He was quick to dwell deep into her thoughts due to the temporary mark he had around her neck and sense her uneasiness around him. Something he didn't want to happen. The last, non-existing thought on his mind is to have her fear him. He should be the only person she is the most comfortable with. He also hoped that, in the near future, nothing in this world and beyond would stop her from showing her true self now that he wants to be in her life.
A small smile graced his lips and he stretched forth one of his hands affectionately towards her.
Wish was confused and didn't know what else to do but stand there to stare at this enigma and let her heart and feelings be moved by him one beat at a time.
