Camila ran at full speed down a rocky path, her tears streaking down her face, reddened by desperation. With each step, her labored breath mixed with the pain and exhaustion, but she couldn't stop. The night air was heavy, filled with ashes and the metallic scent of blood. In the distance, a faint light flickered like a beacon in the dark. A solitary house stood on the horizon, its silhouette outlined against the sky, tinted red by a distant fire.
With her heart pounding like a war drum, Camila knocked on the door with all her strength. Her reddened knuckles trembled with fear and desperation. A few seconds of silence felt eternal, until the door creaked open. Ruwi appeared in the doorway, his eyes reflecting surprise and concern. Without hesitation, he wrapped her in a firm embrace, trying to calm the tremors shaking her body.
—Camila, what's wrong? —he asked gently, his voice full of warmth.
She sobbed against his chest, her voice barely a broken whisper.
—A demon… killed my grandparents and several of my friends… they tried to protect me —her throat closed in a knot of anguish.
Inside the house, the news hit like lightning. Daniel and Rosenda stood frozen, their faces pale as marble. Rosenda covered her mouth, stifling a scream of horror. Daniel, with tears in his eyes, clenched his fists in helplessness.
Suddenly, a burst of light tore through the cloudy sky. The dark clouds parted as if an invisible force pushed them aside, letting the sun bathe the earth in a blinding intensity. In the center of that brilliance, a figure materialized. His brown hair flowed in the breeze, framing his face of tan skin, with a well-groomed beard. His red and brown robes floated as though gravity had no power over him.
—Who are you? —asked Rosenda, her voice a whisper, her disbelief evident.
The man smiled sweetly, his eyes radiating peace.
—I am Yeshúa, also known as Jesus —his voice resonated in the air, enveloping them with an indescribable warmth.
Astonishment paralyzed the four friends. Their minds struggled to process the impossible: Jesus, the very same Jesus from the Bible, was standing before them.
—Do not be afraid, my dear children —he said softly.
Camila dropped to her knees, bowing her head in respect.
—What are you doing here, Master? —Camila whispered.
Jesus placed a hand on her head with a paternal gesture.
—Just call me Jesus —his voice was gentle but full of authority.
Ruwi, still in shock, stepped forward with his eyes shining with emotion.
—I can't believe it, you're Jesus! I'm your biggest fan, but… why are you here?
Jesus let out a soft laugh.
—Let me explain —Jesus said with a smile.
With a snap of his fingers, the air vibrated around them. Out of nowhere, four swords appeared floating before them. Each one gleamed with a unique radiance, their handles adorned with angelic wings. Ruwi reached out cautiously and took his. Its blade gleamed in black and white, radiating a serene and powerful energy. Camila took hers, a glowing sword in pink and red, pulsing with a comforting warmth. Daniel received his, wrapped in golden and yellow flashes, while Rosenda's emitted a mystical glow in shades of purple and orange.
—These swords represent the battle you will face against the demons —Jesus explained, his gaze reflecting confidence.
The weight of their destiny fell upon them like an inescapable mantle.
—Place the swords on your chests, and you will receive angelic armor —Jesus continued.
The first to step forward was Ruwi. As soon as the blade touched his chest, a blinding light enveloped him. When the light dissipated, a black armor with white lines covered his body. On his left side, the symbol of a golden fish shone.
Daniel repeated the process, and his armor emerged in dazzling red and gold, with a cross etched on his chest. Rosenda followed, transforming into an imposing figure with her pink and purple armor, adorned with the symbol of a bird. Finally, Camila felt how the divine energy embraced her as she placed her sword on her chest. Her armor revealed itself in shades of gold, red, and white, with a lamb engraved in the center.
Jesus looked at them with pride.
—These armors will help you face Lucifer's demons, the fallen angel —Jesus commented calmly.
At that very moment, in a realm beyond reality, Lucifer roared in fury.
The spiritual line trembled with his wrath. He grabbed Ishnofel by the neck, his eyes burning like infernal embers.
—You've failed this time, damn it! If you fail again, I won't let you live —his voice resonated like dark thunder.
The demon fell to his knees, gasping, as the weight of his master's gaze crushed him.
—Yes, my master… This time I won't fail —he whispered with fear, bowing his head in submission.
The fate had been sealed. The battle was just beginning.
