Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

After the intense battle against Asmodeus and Mammon, the atmosphere remained tense. The sun filtered through the cracks in the high walls of the camp, illuminating the weapons and the dust lingering in the air. Inside Ruwi's house, a simple but cozy space, Ishnofel (José) prepared to teach Jesus' envoys—Ruwi, Daniel, Rosenda, and Camila—a more advanced level of swordsmanship.

Sword Techniques (Intermediate Level)

José, with calm and authority, began the training session as the sound of clashing swords and the echo of footsteps resonated throughout the room. With the soft light streaming through the windows, he demonstrated the postures and movements with almost lethal precision.

During a brief break, the air became cooler. Ruwi, with a curious expression, approached his father. The sound of swords ceased for a moment, replaced by the whisper of the wind seeping through the cracks in the house.

— Dad, you were face to face with Lucifer... what is he really like? — Ruwi asked, looking at his father with a mix of awe and fear.

José stopped, his face hardened slightly, as if recalling Lucifer's image brought the weight of his past upon him. The silence was dense, broken only by the distant whisper of leaves moved by the wind. With a grave and serene voice, José began to recount what he had seen.

— His appearance… is that of a beautiful angel, with four golden wings. One of them covers his body, while the others are for flying. He is like a fusion between a cherub and a seraph, but without the heads of an ox, eagle, and lion. His face is human and perfect...** — José explained, his gaze lost in the horizon, as if trying to see Lucifer once again in the distant place where the battle had taken place.

Ruwi stared at him, confused, as the wind continued to softly blow through the house walls.

— So, he doesn't look like a horned demon or a red-skinned figure, right? — Ruwi asked, processing the new information.

José frowned slightly at his son's misconception, but with a reassuring smile, he replied:

— That's just a myth. Demons are not as the church depicts them. They resemble angels in their true form. — he commented, adding a light chuckle, easing the tension in the air.

The sound of the trainees' breathing could be heard in the background as Ruwi absorbed his father's words, slowly processing the depth of what he had learned.

— Then... everything I thought I knew about demons is just a belief? — Ruwi asked, astonished.

José, without losing his composure, began drawing on the dirt floor to illustrate his point.

— Exactly. And angels aren't just humans with wings either; they are more like beings covered in eyes. Only the archangels and some angels can take human form because they are closer to us. The others are like wings filled with eyes. — he explained, while Ruwi's eyes remained fixed on his father's words.

The room seemed to fade into solemn stillness as the conversation deepened. Every word José spoke became heavier and more revealing, but it also opened more questions in Ruwi's mind.

Elsewhere in an unknown part of the world, Lucifer, surrounded by the five capital sins, gazed at the world map with disdain. The atmosphere was dense, filled with dark energy. Shadows danced around them as they discussed how to eliminate their enemies, Ishnofel and his son.

Lucifer, standing tall and imposing, turned his gaze toward his allies. The echoes of his disdain were clear, resonating in every word.

— We have a little problem. The traitor Ishnofel has joined his son. Now they are allies. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? — Lucifer said in a grave tone, his voice rumbling like thunder in a storm.

Around him, the capital sins debated among themselves, each offering suggestions that, though devoid of compassion, revealed the destructive nature of their desires. The atmosphere around them grew heavier with each proposal. The ground beneath their feet seemed to vibrate with the energy of darkness.

Leviathan, with his guttural voice, broke the silence:

— What if we attack them without mercy and then feast on whatever is left? — he suggested, his stomach growling in the dim light of the place.

Lucifer's sardonic laughter cut through the suggestion. With a piercing gaze, he addressed the rest.

— Stop thinking with your stomach, Leviathan! — he responded, his barely-contained anger evident.

However, in the corner, Belphegor was deep in slumber, surrounded by an aura of eternal indifference. Beside him, Beelzebub frowned, looking at the Sin of Sloth with contempt.

— Belphegor! BELPHEGOR! — Lucifer shouted, pushing him furiously.

— Five more minutes… — Belphegor muttered, not even moving a finger.

Lucifer let out a long sigh, standing up decisively. His face lit up with a malicious smile, and with a cold, calculating look, he began to devise his plan.

— No matter. I will go and face them myself. I am more than capable. After all, I am the first angel of all creation. — Lucifer said as the shadow of his figure expanded, absorbing the light around him.
