Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: Narrow Escape

Dudian was startled and quickly pressed against the door with all his might. The old and rusty door lock of the door fell off from the door frame under the first punch of the walking corpse. Fortunately, the sofa behind buffered it, so the door wasn't directly pushed open.

Mekin and the other two were so frightened that their faces turned pale. They quickly pushed the sofa, but with a click, the sofa cracked in the middle. The wooden frame inside the sofa had already rotted and couldn't withstand the pushing force of gravity, and it suddenly turned into a pile of debris on the ground.

At the same time, with a bang, the door was suddenly broken through, and a stone-gray and pale hand reached in, groping around randomly. Fortunately, this was an adult walking corpse, much taller than Dudian, so it didn't catch Dudian behind the door at the first moment.

Dudian's face was pale. He had forgotten that these buildings, after three hundred years of corrosion, were already in a state of disrepair. He gritted his teeth and said to Mekin and the other two, "Jump out of the window and go to the next floor."

Mekin and the other two were a bit panicked and at a loss, but after all, they were children who had undergone three years of training. They quickly reacted. Mekin quickly said, "I'll hold it back. You go first!"

"Go!!" Dudian roared.

The three of them gritted their teeth slightly and didn't say anything more. They came to the window beside them and looked down. The height of the twelfth floor made the three of them feel dizzy for a moment, but there was no way back at the moment. Sham was the most meticulous. He glanced at the object embedded in the wall outside the balcony and quickly said, "We can step on that for support. We should be able to grab the balcony on the next floor."

It was an air conditioning box. Mekin was the bravest among the three. He took a look. Although he was a bit worried about its firmness, he still gritted his teeth and jumped onto it first.

With a bang, the air conditioner couldn't bear his weight and suddenly collapsed. Mekin was so scared that his heart seemed to stop. But he had been prepared. In a hurry, he stepped on the falling air conditioner and jumped up with the force, and he managed to grab the balcony on the next floor in an extremely thrilling way. The falling air conditioner fell straight down. After smashing several air conditioners in a row, it landed straight in the grass beside the residential area, making a loud bang.

Mekin gritted his teeth and climbed onto the balcony. He looked back at Sham and Zach above. They no longer had a support point and could only jump straight down. Mekin shouted loudly, "I'll catch you. Sham, you jump first!"

Sham was the thinnest and lightest among the three. He hesitated for a moment. Looking at Mekin with his arms outstretched, he steeled his heart and jumped down.

With a swoosh, Mekin quickly reached out and grabbed his body, but the falling inertia almost pulled him off the balcony as well. He felt a sharp pain in his arm as if it was being torn apart, but he still held onto Sham tightly and gritted his teeth to pull him onto the balcony.

Sham was still in a state of shock. He almost thought he was going to die like this. Looking at Mekin with a pained expression, he was filled with gratitude and guilt in his heart. At this time, Zach above quickly said, "Are you ready? I'm going to jump."

Mekin shook his arm and said to Sham, "Let's catch him together."

Sham nodded vigorously. The two of them opened their arms and said to Zach above, "Jump."

Zach gritted his teeth slightly and jumped down.

Mekin and Sham spread out their four hands and immediately caught Zach. Mekin's arm was in so much pain that he lost all feeling, and he almost let go due to his slippery hand, which made his face turn pale with fright.

While the three of them were jumping off the balcony, at the door, Dudian could no longer resist the pushing of the three walking corpses outside. The door, which had once been strong but was now as brittle as paper, had already been broken into pieces under the smashing of the three walking corpses. He abandoned the door. Knowing that Mekin and the others had gone to the balcony of the room, he immediately turned around and ran towards the kitchen on the other side. Along the way, he tipped over the TV, the table, and other things on the table to the center of the living room, trying to slow down the pursuit speed of the walking corpses.

And this move was indeed effective. Although these walking corpses were much faster than him, their minds didn't seem to work very well. They didn't know how to avoid obstacles and were suddenly tripped up by the TV and the table on the ground.

At this time, Dudian seized the opportunity, ran into the kitchen, and threw the kitchen knives, plates, and other things on the counter at the walking corpses. The damage caused was minimal, but he successfully attracted all of them over.

Dudian quickly drilled into the bathroom next to the kitchen and closed the door, which had no defensive power, behind him. He looked at the ventilation window of the toilet. It was made of aluminum alloy, but the edges had already rotted. After three hundred years of the baptism of the disaster rain, even the walls of the entire building had layers of blister-like soil peeling off. Without saying a word, he stepped on the toilet and kicked hard.

With a bang, the window was immediately kicked open.

The narrow window was just big enough for his body to pass through. If it were an adult, it would be a bit difficult and forced.

However, when he stuck his head out and looked outside, the height of the twelfth floor and the cars covered with moss and vegetation on the street, which were like small steamed buns, made him feel dizzy. However, the roar behind him suddenly approached rapidly. Even without looking back, Dudian knew that the three walking corpses had gotten up and pounced over.

He had no choice but to jump!

He gritted his teeth and jumped.

There was no air conditioner on the outer wall here. After all, no one would install an air conditioner outside the bathroom. There were two white water pipes on the smooth ceramic tile wall, most likely the pipes for toilet drainage.

Dudian had already noticed them. When he jumped, he reached for the water pipes. With a bang, the water pipe was crushed by him like it was made of paper, and the water pipe below also fell down immediately under his pull.

Dudian's face changed greatly, and he quickly inserted his hand back!

With a thud, the short sword in his hand stabbed into the wall suddenly, hanging his sliding body.

Dudian's heart, which had been raised in his throat, dropped a little. When he saw that both the door and the sofa were vulnerable, he thought of the sword marks left by the hunters' battles on some walls during the previous scavenging. As a result, he had gambled right. The wall was no longer strong, and a sword could make a huge gap.

Roar! Roar!

At this time, two ferocious heads suddenly protruded from the toilet window. Two walking corpses were lying on the window, stretching out their claws towards him.

Above them, another walking corpse rushed over. The body of this walking corpse squeezed frantically, causing the wall beside the window to peel off like soil, and the gap was widened. Looking at its crazy appearance, Dudian, who had just saved his life, couldn't help but be startled. His pupils suddenly shrank. Thinking of a terrifying possibility, he quickly looked down. The toilet window on the next floor was only one meter away. If he had two short swords at this time, he could easily use them to support himself and climb to the next floor. But at the moment, he only had one short sword in his hand. Once he pulled it out, he would immediately fall down.

Dudian gritted his teeth and looked at the windowsill more than a meter below his feet. The windowsill was only half the width of a palm. It was extremely difficult to jump onto it, and it required great courage.

However, looking at the body of the third walking corpse that kept squeezing out, Dudian didn't dare to wait any longer. His body swayed slightly, and he gritted his teeth and jumped.

With a swoosh, his body fell quickly, and his foot stepped towards the edge of the toilet windowsill. However, because he was close to the wall, his foot didn't step on it steadily. His toes just grazed it, and his body continued to fall.

In this short distance of one body length, Dudian felt as if his head was about to explode and went blank for a moment. The next moment, his hand suddenly reached out and grabbed the windowsill in the instant of falling.

At that moment, it was as if he had come back to life.

Dudian looked at the walking corpse that had squeezed out most of its body above his head. He quickly raised his other hand and smashed it hard at the window. With a bang, he immediately smashed the window. The glass shards stabbed into his fist, and his hand was covered in blood. He didn't even feel the pain for a moment. He grabbed the edge of the glass shards with his hand and quickly climbed up, crawling into the window.

Whoosh!

Just as he crawled in, a gust of wind came from behind.

Dudian quickly looked back and down, only to see that the walking corpse had finally squeezed out of the toilet window and fell straight down, landing in the grass at the edge of the downstairs.

At this time, because of the squeezing out of that walking corpse, the space for the other two walking corpses suddenly increased. Dudian immediately saw that one of the walking corpses was lying on the body of the other walking corpse, roaring and reaching out towards him.

Dudian was taken aback. Could it be that these Undead Walking Corpses only knew how to attack and had no self-protection awareness?

He couldn't help but think of the previous battle between Scott and the female walking corpse. For a moment, an idea suddenly popped into his mind.
