Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12:LAST MEMORY FOR THE YEAR

Since the semester was about to be over and their final exams were done, there were no more lessons to study. Most of the teachers stopped coming to class, and the students were left with a lot of free time. Of course, some students took this as an opportunity to break a few rules—one of the biggest being bringing their phones to school.

Phones weren't allowed in their school, but that didn't stop JL, one of Monica's classmates, from sneaking hers in. "We need to capture the memories," she said proudly, waving her phone around as if she had just smuggled treasure.

With fewer students attending school, the atmosphere was relaxed. They spent most of their time chatting, joking around, and, thanks to JL, taking as many pictures and videos as possible. At one point, she told everyone to get into position for a class photo. They all posed, holding their smiles—but instead of taking a picture, JL had been recording a video the entire time. When they realized it, laughter erupted through the classroom.

"JL! We were holding that pose for so long!" someone complained, but nobody was actually mad. It was one of those small, silly moments that made their last days together feel special.

Meanwhile, Lynx had been asleep at his desk the entire time. His head rested against his arms, completely unfazed by all the noise around him. At first, Monica thought about waking him up, but honestly, she found it kind of amusing. He looked so peaceful, and for some reason, watching him like that made her feel calmer too.

When JL started taking group selfies, Monica subtly positioned herself closer to Lynx in the frame, pretending it was just a coincidence. Even though he was asleep, she liked the idea of having pictures with him.

Eventually, Nana nudged her and whispered, "We should wake him up. He's gonna regret not being in any of these."

Monica hesitated but then reached out and gently tapped his arm. "Lynx, wake up."

He grumbled something incoherent but slowly lifted his head, eyes still heavy with sleep. "What?"

"We're taking pictures," Monica said, unable to hide her small smile.

Lynx sighed but didn't protest when they pulled him into the frame. In the next set of pictures, he was actually awake—though his expression remained his usual half-lidded, tired look. Still, Monica was happy.

It wasn't anything grand, but these little moments meant something. Soon, they would all be in different classes, moving on to new things. But for now, they could just enjoy these last, carefree days together.
