The bus glided through the street with incredible speed.
In the fourth roll by the window sat a striking young man, even more vibrant and handsome than before.
His cat-like ocean-blue eyes stared at each street they passed.
Both males and females on the bus couldn't help but steal glances at him; some girls of his age even attempted to approach him but couldn't gain the courage. He was just silent, admiring the city.
'I never knew there was a lift that carried tourists to the top of the mountain.'
[Of course, you didn't know; you're an idiot.]
The rambling between Kai and Alpha had been going on since they left the cave till they proceeded to descend via the lift that Alpha recommended.
'You know you have a bad mouth.'
[That goes to show how dirty your mind is.]
Kai exhaled; he was wasted and tired.
He had spent over four hours on his journey to and from the mountain.
He removed his phone from his pocket and looked at the time.

Tuesday, 16 April 2459
'I only have five hours to sleep.'
He yawned as he forced his eyes open.
'I can't sleep here when I have a luxurious bed.'
[I for one am hungry]
'Yeah, me too.'
[What about some chicken and beer as we watch the Chimmershow?]
'That will be fu.....'
Kai's eyes opened in bewilderment as if his next words were stolen from his mouth.
'How do you....?'
[No need to be so scared.]
Alpha spoke in her usual sarcastic, robotic voice.
[I am a part of you so everything you know I know]
Kai frowned a little before calming down.
Alpha's words were hard to digest for certain reasons, but he was also relieved to hear them.
He had been contemplating if he was Kim Seoyoung or if something caused his memories as Kaiser Vanguard to distort.
But now he was fairly certain that he was indeed Kim Seoyoung and he had transmigrated into ICUWSA.
Soon the bus came to a stop at the same location Kai entered previously.
It took some time for him to reach Noctis and enter his dorms, but as soon as he did, he was out like a light.
******
[It's morning. Wake up, Kai.]
Kai rubbed his eyes violently as he forced them to get used to the sudden change in brightness.
He lay on his bed, his legs and arm spread open, his hair messy, and his bed unkempt.
"Good morning, Alpha."
[Good morning and all that, but you are going to be late for your first classes.]
Shifting his gaze Kai looked at the holographic time that Alpha projected in front of him.
Tuesday, 16th April, 8:27 AM
"Fuc....."
Kai sprang up from his bed and headed straight for the bathroom.
"I forgot how much I hate school."
As soon as he was done, he wore his uniform and ran out of his room.
His tailored jacket flowed back as he sprinted out of the room.
The smell of fried rice invaded his nostrils, making him stagger a few steps back.
'What's that smell?'
[That's the African style of fried rice.]
'I know that already, genius.'
He tiptoed closer to his roommate, who was in the kitchen wearing a white apron over his uniform.
"Good morning." Kai spoke first, indicating his presence.
Ikenna turned his head before nodding. "Yeah, good morning." He paused and then added. "I thought you wouldn't be going to school, so I decided not to wake you."
'Where did he get that idea?' Kai sighed and sat on the sofa that backed the kitchen before pulling out his phone.
He looked back once more admiring the food that was being cooked.
'Let's do something productive.' He faced front fixing his gaze on the contents of his phone.
Noctis Student App (NSA) was an application created by Noctis for all their students where results were placed, classes were assigned, duels were requested and many more things happened.
Kai didn't have much time on hand since he went to take the elixir of immortality to increase his chances of surviving the academy.
But now it was time to check the class he was being assigned to.
'I hope it isn't Class A.'
[I hope it's class A]
Kai clicked his tongue at Alpha's remark.
'Stupid AI'
[I can hear you]
[And Class A isn't that bad only slight politics here and there and maybe constantly being on edge]
He exhaled heavily before shifting his focus back to the screen.
Class assignment. This was done to all new students of Noctis, according to your performance in your combat and written exam, which Kai, unfortunately, didn't write since it happened before his transmigration.
Students are assigned to a class ranging from class D, which Kai liked to call the class of the weepers since only the worst of the worst went there, to class C, the place of delinquents who have talents but aren't ready to use them.
"I wish I got assigned to Class C." Kai muttered to himself, but it still grabbed Ikenna's attentive ears.
"What did you say?"
Kai bent his neck and looked at his roommate, who was sprinkling in a large amount of vegetables.
"No, nothing."
Kai smiled and faced the screen.
'He's honestly a cool guy.'
Then there were the top classes: class B, the class of the unshakeable second place, and finally class A, where most of the main cast are going to be placed, the class of aura.
'I have no business in Class A.'
He looked at his class and let out a gentle smile.
'Today is going to be fun at least.'
Ikenna came around with a plate of food, and Kai soon devoured it all and they both soon left the dorms and parted ways at the junction of the individual class areas.
*********
After walking for some minutes Kai arrived at the Building of everything C.
Kai stood at a slightly massive door that resembled a classroom door back in his high school days, though, unlike his high school, the building of all C classes from year 1 to year 3 was in a massive skyscraper, and everything was immaculately white.
"Let our school life begin."
He opened the door gently and went into the massive classroom.
Descending seats made of leather, a standard mana chalkboard with an inbuilt projector and speaker, and two stairways that divided the three rolls.
The classroom was a little curved instead of completely straight, which made the podium for lecturers look a little smaller.
Kai looked out the door and back at the classroom, but he couldn't get the architecture.
Tossing the thoughts away to prevent looking weird and getting too much attention on his first day, he sat on the most inconspicuous chair away from the door.
'Let's act like an extra for now.'
[I doubt that will stay for long]
'Just shut up, Alpha; I pretty much lived as a background character my whole life.'
[...]
'Why suddenly quiet?'
Kai failed to account for one tiny detail: he wasn't Kim Seoyoung, the background character, anymore.
"Excuse me."
Kai shifted his gaze to the girl who loomed above him.
Short brown hair and pale yellow eyes, she was really pretty, but something else about her was more distracting.
She had an unreasonable proportion.
Kai quickly shifted his eyes to the opposite side and shifted to the next chair.
'Let's just act normal.'
But the girl still stood. Kai suddenly felt the gaze of the few people who were present in the class.
'What's going on?'
[Hahaha... Things are getting spicy.]
'What is she even...'
Kai turned and faced the girl once more, but what he saw dumbfounded him.
'Don't tell me this trope again.'
"Umm... Ummm... My name is Lilia Marionette." Lilia said, her voice slightly broken, her face beet red as she fumbled her fingers.
"I think I...."
'Oh hell, no.'
[Hell yes]
Kai's mind raced; he knew this outcome too well and had completely forgotten how his current face was.
'Damnit, why now of all times.'
Kaiser Vanguard was already handsome, but the elixir took it a step further; now he could even say that not even the protagonist could rival him.
But he wasn't ready to play relationship right now, no matter how much his inner demon screamed at him with tempting offers.
'She is 17, and I am 27.'
[It isn't that much.]
'Don't add to my matter, please.'
[Ki...ki...ki..]
A thought flashed through Kai's mind, a famous quote from a fellow brother.
And without wasting a moment he blurted out.
"I'm cultured."
The whole class became silent.
[Hahaha... What was that, your cultured?]
Lilia's gaze lingered on him before asking. "I don't get it. Is it that I am not cultured enough?"
'Damnit, this isn't Earth.'
[Nice one, genius. I need to add this to my book on how to reject.]
Kai's anger boiled at Alpha's inability to aid him in such critical times.
'You're useless.'
[I know]
But as he searched for another answer, his saving grace appeared.
Their homeroom teacher was accompanied by the remaining students of class C who were running late.
Kai's eyes glimmered, completely forgetting his predicament.
'It's... Neko sensei.'
