Chapter 2: The Chosen One Leads

Christophsis, Republic Forward Command

War was chaos.

At least, it was for most people.

For me? It was a game I had already mastered.

The command center bustled with activity as clone officers relayed information across holo-consoles. Obi-Wan stood at the holotable, arms crossed, brow furrowed in concentration. Ahsoka, my new Padawan, stood beside me, watching with wide-eyed curiosity.

On the battlefield outside, the Separatists had reinforced their position, deploying deflector shields that rendered our artillery useless. In canon, I had devised a reckless plan—a two-man infiltration with Ahsoka that should've gotten us both killed.

Not this time.

I stood before the table, gazing at the holo-map displaying the battlefield. My mind's eye processed everything—enemy positions, terrain weaknesses, optimal attack angles.

I saw the path to victory.

"This isn't working," Obi-Wan muttered, shaking his head. "Their defenses are too strong."

"Not for long," I said smoothly.

Obi-Wan turned to me, arching an eyebrow. "And what exactly do you have in mind?"

I smirked. "A real plan. One that doesn't involve charging in like a reckless idiot."

Ahsoka blinked. "Wait, but isn't that… what you usually do?"

"Not anymore."

I gestured toward the holo-display, tracing a path with my finger.

"They're focusing all their power on the frontal assault," I explained. "Which means their rear flank is weaker than it looks. If we hit them from behind and take out their shield generators, we'll cripple their entire formation."

Obi-Wan frowned. "That still leaves the issue of their main defenses."

I smirked. "That's why we're not just sending in a strike team. We're coordinating a three-pronged attack."

I turned to Rex.

"Commander, you'll lead a frontal assault—keep them occupied, make it look like a desperate push."

Rex nodded. "Understood, General."

I turned to Captain Denal, one of the best ARC troopers under my command.

"Denal, take a squad of commandos through the sewer system—plant det charges on their shield generators. The moment they go down, we hit them hard."

Denal gave a crisp salute. "Consider it done, sir."

Finally, I turned to Ahsoka.

"Snips, you're with me. We'll be leading the third phase—when the shields drop, we go in with the 501st and tear through their forces before they can regroup."

Ahsoka's eyes widened. "Wait, you're trusting me with a major part of the battle? Just like that?"

I smirked. "You wanted to be my Padawan, didn't you?"

Ahsoka hesitated—then straightened, determination burning in her blue eyes. "Right! I won't let you down, Master!"

I patted her head. "Good. Now, let's get to work."

The Battle Begins

As planned, Rex and the 501st launched a frontal assault.

Explosions shook the battlefield. Clone troopers rushed forward, blaster bolts lighting up the sky as Separatist forces engaged.

Denal's team infiltrated the enemy base, slipping through underground tunnels toward the shield generators.

And I?

I was waiting.

Ahsoka stood beside me, shifting nervously as we hid behind cover. "You really think this will work?"

I grinned. "Trust me."

A moment later—BOOM.

The enemy's shield generators exploded.

The massive blue energy field flickered—then collapsed.

"Now," I said.

Activating my comlink, I barked a single command:

"501st, charge!"

And we did.

Anakin Skywalker Unleashed

I surged forward like a force of nature.

Droids opened fire—I was already moving.

My Mind's Eye guided me perfectly, dodging before they could even pull the trigger. My lightsaber ignited—a blazing arc of destruction as I tore through their ranks.

Ahsoka followed my lead, her green lightsaber flashing as she carved her own path. "This is crazy!" she shouted.

I laughed. "This is war, Snips!"

Droids fell in droves.

My Essence of the Warrior made combat effortless. My body never tired, never faltered. Every strike was perfect.

Blaster fire from behind—I spun, deflecting the shots into another droid before slicing through two more.

I was untouchable.

The Turning Point

With the shields down and our forces overwhelming the enemy, the battle quickly turned in our favor.

Obi-Wan led the second wave, cutting down the remaining droids as the Separatist commander signaled a retreat.

Ahsoka landed beside me, panting. "We… we actually did it!"

I grinned. "Did you doubt me?"

She smirked. "Well… maybe a little."

Rex jogged up, saluting. "Sir, the battlefield is ours. General Kenobi's forces are mopping up the stragglers."

I exhaled slowly, scanning the field.

Victory.

I had changed history.

But this was only the beginning.

A New Future

As the sun began to set over Christophsis, I found myself alone on a cliffside overlooking the battlefield.

I could feel the Force shifting.

This was the first step toward rewriting fate.

No longer would I be a pawn in Sidious's game.

I would be something greater.

I turned, feeling a familiar presence approaching.

Padmé.

She had come with a diplomatic envoy, her eyes filled with concern as she gazed at me.

"Anakin… you look different," she murmured.

I smirked. "I feel different."

She hesitated—then stepped closer. "I'm glad you're safe."

I looked at her, my mind racing.

I knew where this was going. The forbidden love, the secrecy, the pain that would eventually lead to my fall.

Not this time.

This time, I would have everything.

Power. Victory. And love.

I smirked, stepping closer, brushing a stray hair behind her ear.

"I'm not going anywhere, Padmé," I murmured. "Not without you."

She blushed—then smiled.

I could feel it. The galaxy was already changing.

And I?

I was going to rule it.
