Chapter 18 - Lookin’ Good

Everyone slept in that morning, as Nixie was the last Phoenix to come before the midnight deadline the Father gave to not interfere.

She cast a deep sleeping spell on all of them and turned off all their alarms.

Zander was the first to wake up, in a full panic as it was already noon. He quickly went and woke Cyrus up, who explained it was ok as they were all called off.

"Let's leave the girls a note and go get those suits quickly. I have to meet my lawyer in two hours," Zander said.

With that, they each left a note for the girls to help themselves, make themselves at home and if they had to go home to just text them.

As Zander teleported with Cyrus to the capital city of Harmonia, he did so with them both invisible to not be caught. They found a public restroom, made sure no one was in it, walked in, turned back visible and walked out.

"How can you get to places you've never been too bro and when the heck did you learn invisibility?" Cyrus asked Zander in amazement.

"I just think of where I want to go and anyone I'm holding hands with ends up there with me," Zander shrugged.

They soon found the tailor shop they were looking for, and to their surprise, the staff pretty much ignored them. Using his eye of the Phoenix skill, most of the employees were some shade of yellow but there was one with a light green aura, which Zander approached.

"Hello sir, my friend and I are here to get fitted for and purchase two of your finest suits," Zander stated.

"Oh, great! I'm sorry I missed you I was on my break, I'm not surprised my colleagues ignored you, I'm sorry for that. We get teenagers in here all the time that claim to be buying suits but then don't have the money, so we've begun to ask for a token of collaterale to ensure we aren't robbed," the man said kindly.

"Don't worry sir, we'll be paying with cash and our budget is $5,000 per suit," Zander said and noticed Cyrus giving him a death stare.

"Oh, how wonderful! Today is your lucky day because I'm the finest tailor in all of Harmonia. It's also my lucky day because my colleagues are stuck up," the man laughed.

After about an hour, Cyrus walked out in a beautiful blue suit, sporting a pink dress shirt, blue tie, matching blue slacks and black dress shoes with a black belt with a large golden buckle.

"Dude that's the one, you look great," Zander said in amazement.

"Even with the pink? You think Claire will like it," Cyrus asked.

"If I do say, any young lady, or even woman for that matter who sees a strapping young man, as handsome as yourself, doesn't think you look great in that suit, I'd simply say they're wasting their time. It's also a perfect color scheme for any occasion, other than a funeral, but I'm guessing, with that comment these suits are for dates," the salesman said gleefully.

Even if it was a sales pitch, Zander couldn't deny the man was right and Cyrus said, "Z are you sure you really want to buy this for me?"

They had agreed to not use their names in the store, especially because Zander had brought around $15,000 cash that Cyrus didn't know about.

"I mean if you don't want it I'll happily tell your girlfriend you turned this down," as he snapped a photo of him with his phone.

"I would normally say photography here is prohibited but because you two gentlemen seem like legitimate customers, I'll allow it this one time," the salesman pointed to a sign that said "all photos are prohibited."

"I'm so sorry sir," Zander said and after Cyrus agreed to let Zander buy the suit, Zander showed the salesman as he deleted the photo.

"Thank you for that and because of your kindness, I will give you $1,000 off the suit. You said your price range was $5,000 a piece? Well, the retail cost is $7,999, so I'll make it $6,999 for you," the salesman said.

Cyrus turned bright red as he went back to the changing room and the man bagged up the suit.

Realizing it was nearly 1:15 PM, Zander was thankful the salesman was indeed a great tailor as Zander walked out in an black suit, with black slacks, a gold dress shirt, which matched his hair, a black tie, a white belt with a golden buckle and white shoes.

"Bro you look so good I could kiss ya right now," Cyrus joked.

The salesman looked Zander up and down and said, "oh, how rude of me, give me one moment," and he came back with a few items.

First, he put a pink pocket square in Cyrus's suit jacket and brought over a pair of silver cufflinks and asked Cyrus if he liked them. "Yes they're great," he replied.

Next, he ran over to Zander and put a golden pocket square in his jacket pocket, and came out with a pair of white Phoenix cufflinks, which made both of the boys smile.

Zander looked at himself in the mirror, and the salesmen asked if he minded him touching his hair, to which Zander really didn't, and with the way he did his hair, Zander could barely recognize himself.

The onlooking sales team looked utterly pissed off as they felt stupid for missing out on what they call a "commission cash cow," in their business.

"Ok gentlemen, what do you think?"

"We will take both," Zander said with a smile.

The salesman had pulled them away from the other staff and said, this suit is also over your $5,000 budget. This is actually a ten thousand dollar suit with the cufflinks and shoes.

"I have $15,000 cash on me and I have my debit card but I'd rather not use that, if that's ok with you," Zander stated.

"Ok then, I'll give you a deal and only charge you $14,500," the salesmen said with a very kind smile.

With a handshake, Zander shook the man's hand and they went to the register, where the salesman had already bundled everything up very eloquently.

Alright my young friends, "the total is $14,500," the salesman said loud enough so that the entire sales staff could hear.

Zander figured they must work on commission, but he didn't feel bad, as no one approached him, and the only one to offer after asking was this salesman.

"What is your name sir and do you have a card in case we are ever in need of a suit?" Zander asked politely.

"Certainly, my name is Thomas Franklin, and if you two run into any issues with the suits, or grow a bit more, as you seem to be teenagers, please give me a call and I'll gladly refit you and make adjustments as you see fit, free of charge." Mr. Franklin stated.

"You can keep the change as a tip, you truly are the best tailor in Harmonia," to which Mr. Franklin thanked Zander and Cyrus, giving them both a firm handshake.

With that, the two boys rushed out of there and Zander quickly turned the corner and turned them both invisible.

"It's 1:45 I'm going to teleport you back to your house to hide your suit and change.

Then I'll teleport us back to my house and I'll be off. Let the girls know I'll be back soon," Zander said.

With that. Zander teleported outside of his house, teleported Cyrus in and then was off to the lawyers office.

When Cyrus arrived, the girls were still sleeping, so he decided to wake up Claire.

"Good morning my love. You're a sleepy head, it's almost 2 in the afternoon." Cyrus said with a kiss on the forehead.

"Is it really? Why'd you let me sleep in so late?" Claire asked.

Cyrus was smart enough to grab the note and put it in his pocket before he got there and told her he had just woken up herself.

"Crap, I have to wake Sophie up, she's meeting her parents at 3, 'after school.' Her dad has some big news or something," Claire panicked.

Cyrus ran to Zander's room and knocked on the door, and Sophie woke up with a pounding headache.

"Was yesterday a dream?" she asked herself, as she went and looked at the mirror above her new dresser in Zander's room.

To her surprise, her hair in a beautiful, unique silver, much like Luna's and her eye color changed to a beautiful light shade of pink. She shook her head twice and heard a voice in her head say, "we look pretty big sis!"

This was a reminder yesterday was not a dream and Scarlett was real and inside her.

"It's all because of you little sis," Sophie couldn't help but think.

"That's not true, my mama always said Zintan and Zander had the prettiest girlfriend in the world. I will take credit for the hair and the eye color though," Scarlett said with a giggle.

She told Cyrus she'd be right out, quickly read the note from Zander and asked Cyrus if he could drive her home quickly.

Cyrus agreed, they asked Claire if she was coming, and she ran and jumped in the car.

"Woah, what's with the new look Sophie? You look great!" Claire exclaimed.

"I just dyed my hair and ordered some contacts is all," Sophie lied casually.

Neither Cyrus nor Claire brought it up, and before they knew it, they were finally in Claire and Sophie's neighborhood.
