Chapter 9 - Moonlit Misadventure

Ningguang and Beidou rarely starred in second creation tales, unlike others.

Yet, a few standout gems among them had caught Xander's eye, brimming with charm.

He resolved to craft a spoof blending the Tianquan's grace with the captain's grit.

How would the poised Ningguang react to her elegant facade twisted in jest?

Beidou, with her bold spirit, would likely shrug off the antics with a laugh.

Xander sensed a spark between them, a dynamic ripe for his playful meddling.

He finished his meal at Wanmin Kitchen, settling the bill with swift Mora.

On the walk home, he dove into his system, weaving the video in his mind's eye.

"Teyvat's Second Creation Broadcast is live, good afternoon, dear viewers!" it blared.

The broadcast returned, its familiar chaos stirring Teyvat once more.

Wendy joins. Tartaglia joins. Kazuha joins. Lumine joins, the roll call began.

Ying'er joins. Xander joins. Keqing joins. Raiden Shogun joins, it continued.

Ei joins. Ayato joins. Thoma joins, names flooded the glowing screen.

Paimon: "It's back, that wild broadcast is here again!" she squeaked.

Lumine: "Who's the poor soul getting roasted this time?" she wondered.

Arataki Itto: "Pick me, I'll shine brighter than anyone!" he boasted.

Kuki Shinobu: "Boss, that's not shining, that's crashing and burning," she sighed.

Arataki Itto: "Fine, make me dashing, not some offal flop like Liyue's star!"

Keqing: "@AratakiItto, if Inazuma weren't locked, I'd zap you myself!"

Arataki Itto: "Bring it, I'm the king of brawls, not scared of some snack slicer!"

Amber: "This Itto guy's got some nerve, mouthing off like that," she marveled.

Paimon: "He doesn't seem too bright, just a loud lump," she giggled.

Lumine: "Paimon, you're hardly one to judge smarts," she teased.

Kuki Shinobu: "The boss's head's a bit empty, I'll admit," she confessed.

Arataki Itto: "Shinobu, whose side are you on?!" he roared.

Beidou: "I know this oaf, he's a dolt who swipes kids' treats," she scoffed.

Arataki Itto: "I won those fair and square, not stole them!" he protested.

Paimon: "Oh, so he's just a big bully then," she concluded.

Arataki Itto: "Call me a thug all you want, I stand tall!" he bellowed.

Itto's bravado lit the chat ablaze, a firebrand begging for a spotlight.

Xander noted his plea, tempted to skewer him in a future jest.

For now, though, Ningguang and Beidou would take the stage, his chosen duo.

"Today's feature: 'Beidou and Ningguang's Moonlit Tryst'" the screen declared.

The title dropped, and shock rippled through the broadcast's audience.

Beidou: "What in the abyss is this?!" she blurted, stunned.

Ningguang: "This is… unexpected," she murmured, composure faltering.

Keqing: "First me, now Ningguang, is Liyue cursed by this thing?"

Kaeya: "Could be chance, or maybe Liyue's just juicy," he mused.

Gorou: "A date? Between two women?" he puzzled.

Yae Miko: "Nothing odd there, love bends all ways," she purred.

Amber: "Just keep me out of it, I don't need weird fame!" she pleaded.

The title faded, giving way to a scene bathed in silver moonlight.

A quaint pavilion rose from a shallow pond, its stilts kissed by water.

Beidou and Ningguang sat across from each other, barefoot in the gentle ripples.

Their shoes rested aside, the night framing an intimate, unlikely rendezvous.

Beidou wore her rugged captain's garb, a storm-weathered constant.

Ningguang dazzled in a flowing sapphire gown, a rare break from her gold.

"Never pegged you for a night out, Ningguang, and dolled up too," Beidou grinned.

"Your praise honors me, captain of the Alcor," Ningguang replied smoothly.

"Seriously, that dress fits you like a glove, stunning," Beidou pressed.

"Thank you, I paired it with makeup just for tonight," Ningguang revealed.

"No kidding? It's working wonders," Beidou said, blunt as ever.

Their exchange stumbled, Beidou's rough charm clashing with Ningguang's poise.

The chat held its breath, sensing a twist in Ningguang's next words.

Xander smirked from his rental, the scene unfolding as he'd envisioned.

The pavilion glowed, a stage for his crafted farce under Liyue's moon.

Beidou's laugh would boom, Ningguang's calm would crack, he predicted.

He'd plucked this gem from his old world's trove, a boutique twist.

The broadcast hummed, Teyvat's eyes glued to his latest mischief.

Keqing's prior torment paled beside this, a new legend brewing.

Xander leaned back, the Shadowfang Blade silent at his side.

Ningguang's elegance and Beidou's swagger, a duo ripe for his art.

The chat buzzed, speculation swirling like the pond's gentle waves.

This date, absurd and tender, would stir Teyvat's heart anew.

He'd keep his hand hidden, a puppeteer in the harbor's shadows.

Liyue slept beyond his walls, unaware of the storm he'd unleashed.

The broadcast's gift loomed, a trinket for its stars to claim.

Xander's grin widened, the night his canvas, painted with glee.
