Chapter 2 - The Slave’s Lament

Slave Street, now more crowded than usual, due to the slaves coming from the empire, Slave Street was simply a place where the dirty work was thrown for the slaves to do, with a fair amount of oppression and tyranny, humiliation and weakness. And the loss of freedom and security.

On one side of the road, a familiar voice of humiliation and a demand for justice that will not be met is heard, "What does it mean to be pregnant? You are a slave, so do what slaves do. What do you think you are, slave?", shouted a huge man with muscles and a position that allowed him to be the master of the land.

The pregnant woman cried, "I can't clean up cat urine, sir, that's because I'm pregnant." She said in a weak voice.

"Damn, you keep saying that crap, you filthy thing?" He almost raises his belt to whip her, she wraps her hands around her stomach, not afraid for her face or body, all hoping to protect her little soul that lies within.

A young girl bumps into him, looking at him in fear, realizing the trouble she has gotten herself into, and looks away at the pregnant woman frozen in fear. In extreme anger, the man throws his strong, big hands at the young girl's face, and she falls to the ground.

From the pain of the blow, which seemed to spread to the rest of her body, she did not scream, but closed her eyes in acceptance, for once the nightmare began, it could not be stopped until the sun rose, and there was no sun in a place like Liu Mu, the city that lay in the blackest and ugliest land in the empire.

He pulled her hair violently, lifting her head and her thin body, cutting off any thought she had, he dragged her and walked away, she was sitting on the ground with her torn clothes dragged from her back while all the passersby saw her face and her miserable state, she looked at the ground escaping from the eyes of others on her, and in a glance she looked at the pregnant woman again, now the woman hugged her belly more, while looking at the girl, regretful and grateful, because in a place like this, the suffering of another person is like an escape for others, they looked at each other with sorrow in their eyes, here they are humiliated, they have to hold on to what is dear to them, and hold on to their honor even in the most dishonorable places.

In another place, in another world, they might have sat with honor, unafraid of strangers.

But for a grown woman, she certainly knows the world, and for a young girl, there is no reason to hope as she is dragged to her end.

She knew that no one would save her. She had to die alone.

Finally she wakes up and is thrown in front of a big place, bigger than her world. She raises her head to see where she is. The name of the place was, "Paradise of Comfort." She laughed to herself, wondering if in the midst of this devastation there really was a paradise, or a place of comfort.

She didn't know how much time had passed, but she certainly understood why she was there.

A man comes out and looks at the man who dragged her, "What is this?" he asks with a look of contempt, as if she is not a human being but a piece of junk.

"This slave looked beautiful and I remembered that you were interested in beautiful girls. I think she came from the empire yesterday." He said as he pointed at her.

The other man came down the stairs and lifted her head and then her hair with a disgusting look as if he was analyzing something, then he looked at the rest of her body covered in blood, "Well she certainly has a pretty face, and seductive eyes. But it's hard to decide when she's in this disgusting state." He removed his hands and wiped them as he got up and walked away.

"Brother, you should be able to decide better, if you give her up and i go somewhere else you will lose a lot." They were talking about her with all kinds of schemes, without mercy.

The other man hummed, "Who is your brother, you scum?" Then he laughed and said, "Okay, okay, how much do you want?"

The rest of the dishonorable conversation about an innocent child was inaudible, as she sat on the ground defeated, she did not even try to escape, her foot from the drag was almost unfit for walking. She didn't even dream of anticipating tomorrow.

She did not come to her senses until she was dragged back up the stairs and again she heard the disgusting sounds that made her wish she could rip her ears off, "What are you doing you idiots, bring her in through the storeroom door." The two men carrying her smiled as they changed their direction as they were told.

Here, the details of the life of a destroyed soul begin.

This is how the little girl learned that pain alone is not enough to save someone.
