Kieran's POV
"Sir do you perhaps think that you will find her this time around" my beta Julius questioned.
"I just have to be hopeful Julius, now accept the invitation from the Moonrose pack. Make sure that every maiden unmated in their kingdom is available at the ceremony" I instructed as I went inside my study room.
I have lived for 500 years and ever since I turned 30 my body had never aged since.I looked at the various potraits I have had made of me.Even though I have lived for all those years what I actually want more than ever was to have someone I would spend all the days of my life with and that was a mate.
During the mating season I have travelled to several pack all over the world and even crossing high and low sea in search of the one the universe had said will be my mate.Every journey I took I always came back defeated because all over the world she was not there.
The real reason I wanted my mate was because I also wanted to see my heir grow and to be a husband and father.I have watched several generations of cubs grow ,age and have their own families and die.M y beta Julius is the great great grandson of one of my first beta .Seeing such a legacy I wished for my own.
I looked back at the empty portraits and poured myself a glass of scotch.
"What has gotten you worked out now" Elisa walked seductively inside the room.She was wearing revealing clothes and she was doing a catwalk.
To say I didn't fall prey to her seductive moves is an understatement after all am a person also who has desires. I grabbed her with intensity and viciously claimed her lips. Since that is what she came here for, I better not let her leave without a punishment.
I flipped her over and started slamming my huge member into her wet core and her moans filled the whole study. Good thing my office was soundproof because if not the whole pack would have heard all her moans for mercy.
After I had finished our lustful secret I started feeling bad. What if I find my mate today, she might reject me after learning that I wasn't able to wait for her.
"What is wrong Kieran," Elisa asked and now her voice was irritating me the most.
"Get out " I commanded her and she growled back at me as she was feeling the pain from me using my Alpha voice on her.
"Are you getting worked up because you think you will see your mate in Montrose? To think that the Moonrose pack is the lowest of all the packs. Do you even know that I rejected my mate for you Kieran? Then what am I to you?" she became unreasonable and this always bothered me with her.
She always wanted more from me but I wouldn't dare think about it.
"Don't even start that subject, Elisa. I think we have already talked about this subject and a long conclusion. I told you that there were no strings attached to us. We are just grown adults having consensual sex what else do you want from me?" I seriously asked.
"Make me your Luna Kieran. I want you to mark me as your mate Kieran, that is what I fucking want" she screamed with her body slightly shaking.
"No" I firmly said. The last time I had tried to choose and mate for myself. I marked her as mine but she died from the mark, the second died as well. I then decided to wait for my mate.
It is said that for my kind only my mate will survive the marking or a white werewolf. White werewolves have been extinct and a few of them are born after every century but they are deeply connected to their mates. If you could convince one to leave their fated mate it would be a miracle because their kind can't live without their fated mate.
So already the possibility are slim thus why I have to go to all the four winds and search for my mate.
"You are evil Kieran. Over the years have you ever loved me?" she asked.
"NO," I said and I watched as she left the study with her disheveled hair in tears.
Why was she always a pain in the ass every time I have to attend a mating ceremony? Then my beta notified me through the mind link that my ride was ready. I went inside my closet grabbed a new set of clothes and went down to the ride.
We passed through the forest and a group of rogues attacked us.It was not hard to handle them because they seemed inexperienced .I was now running out of schedule and told m beta to speed up.
The moment I passed through a small cottage outside the pack house I started to feel weird feelings.
Something told me I was connected to that place and I couldn't pinpoint what it was.
"Stop the car Julius," I said and descended the car and made my way towards the cottage.
"Sir we will be late for the ceremony" he called back at me but I was not listening to anything he said my mind was focused on the scent I picked from the cottage. Alouis my old who had been dormant for a while then fought for control.
I tried to suppress him but he was too powerful this time.
'What are you doing Alouis' I asked him , 'Kieran mate, I can smell her and she is in heat as we speak.She is also beautiful Kieran, I have founnd her at last' my wolf was celebrating in my head.
Then I saw a passerby walking and I decided to ask her.
"Excuse me but do you know who lives here" I asked the old woman.
"Yes , her name is Selene.But don't get involved with her I heard she is cursed and she is wolfless" the old woman said and when she said she was wolfless my hope was put out.
"Where can I find her?"I asked.
"She went to the mating ceremony" the woman asnwered and I decided to let her continue with her journey.
If she was wolfless it meant that she would not recognise us as her mate.
'Will she recognise me Kieran' Alouis asked with all his excitement drown away. One painful thing was to get rejected by your mate , some wolves would not survive the pain.Some even die or they become weak.I watched as Alouis went back to the dark corner of my consciousness and became dead silent.
He was feeling pain I could feel it.
I went back to the car and Julius drove us near the temple.The more I approached the ancient temple the more her scent became more clearer and intoxicating.
She smelt of French roses, Egyptian lilies, and wet soil. Her scent was intoxicating and at this moment I wanted to claim her as mine.
As I moved closer I felt a slight tremor and the weather instantly changed and it started raining. I found people trying to kill her.
What crme had she commited she had innocence on her face ,so why did her fellow pack members want to kill her.Alouis became angry at this and emmitted his aura and I watched as all the werewolves stop and pave way for me.
I walked and watched the fear in her eyes. I walked and saw a white sphere protecting her from harm, I was glad she was able to protect herself but she was a werewolf how was she able to conjure magic to protect herself? I walked slowly and first put my hand on the sphere and unlike other people it allowed me to pass through.
I walked towards her and held her. She was indeed in heat and she was burnig .When our skn touched I felt this jolt of electricity course through my body.Is thiswhat it feels like to be in the contact with your mate.I will not leave her hand what so ever.
"With all due respect King but she is mine, " Alpha Darius said. Among all the werewolves he was the one who always tried to stand up to me.
"She is my mate Alpha Darius so you better forget those thoughts you have" I coldly said.
"How about we made him decide for herself?" he said as he tried to hold her hand a gust of wind pushed him away.
"Well, I think the universe has already decided for her. She is mine and only mine" I said in my Lycan King tone and I watched as the other werewolves at the ceremony with pained expressions.
I had forgotten that my tone and aura affected these weak werewolves. I wonder if this mate of mine would be able to withstand it.
I watched as her body instinctively hung on my body like a koala. She was pressing her body against mine and she was cute.
'Claim her Kieran' I heard Alouis say and I shut him down. I didn't want to take advantage of her and claim her at this moment.
