Silent was frustrated by the trailer and even disgusted by the fact that it had caught his attention.
'Such a mere stupid game.'
Silent muttered within himself and drew his attention towards his friends. Still, the trailer wasn't finished but he preferred being punched in the face rather than watching the rest of it.
"Shema, you talking serious!!"
"Absolutely, check it on your phone!"
Shiro didn't miss the opportunity to see the trailer even for a second, and dove into his phone, searching for the awaited teaser trailer. Silent knew that the trailer they were talking about was the same as the one on his left side from that game store, but he didn't bother telling them as they were already playing it on their phones.
Soon, so many people gathered to watch the trailer which was playing over and over again, crowds and crowds filled every gap that anyone could watch the trailer from, kids getting between all of their legs, trying to see only a glimpse of the trailer.
Silent Stood in silence, staring at all of those crowded people.
'Such a bunch of cowards, thriving for a stupid game.' he thought, a sense of strong emotion of disgust appeared on his nonchalant face.
Silent's face darkened, sounds and chants of astonishment and excitement found a way to his ears yet he resisted. His eyes blacked out and stared down at his feet, all the sounds around him started to echo and become more fragile, he felt as if the world had slowed down.
Starring in emptiness, he took a glance at his best friends and saw them just as the rest of the people… emotionless, his eyes' dark haloes as though black enough seemed to darken more and more.
"This... this is awesome! I can't wait for the release"
"This game will break records if not world ones!"
"It's already breaking everything."
"The Scalers!"
"The Scalers!"
"The... Scalers!"
"The..."
"T..."
Silent somehow started to drop some droplets from his dark eyes, emotions flooding in an instant in a state of only pouring tears.
'why is it raining heavily today?'
Unfortunately, it was in the afternoon, with no clouds, no lightning, and no rain. Although caught in this state of humiliation, a single sentence echoed in his mind, louder than any voice around him.
'Tears were running down my face… yet I wasn't crying.' overwhelmed by his own devastation of flooding thoughts, strong enough to turn his emotionless, nonchalant reality upside down. Silent raised his head facing the sky up ahead, his eyes still running like an active waterfall yet his face didn't tense... indifferent.
Only with tears running all over his face... he still wasn't in any state that anyone could call "crying".
'How did I... how? Just how did I reach this state of instability?! Such a dumb head with no accomplishments, no wins, no remarkable actions, nothing! Just... nothing! Despite everything that your family did to you, the amount of money they gave you, the care they delivered with nothing in return... yet, you are just a coward! No, those people aren't the cowards... it! Is! you!'
Silent... poor Silent fell into a well with no ending of memories... harsh memories. Self-flagellation found its own way to his mind directly; Tears ran down but never stopped even for a fraction of a second. In the end, he didn't cry and only tears ran down all over his poor face for so long. He, himself, couldn't remember when the last time he fell in a state like this... it felt like an eternity had passed since then.
For the first time in a while, he wanted to really cry, he wanted this state to be just a little longer. This feeling... he didn't feel like this for so long.
"Ah! Sorry man, my apologies." being in that state mixed with sorrow and inner peace deep within gets fully shattered just because... a stranger dumped against his shoulder?
"Sighs! Nothing ever stays forever, I guess." rubbing his dark eyes and down on his cheeks, Silent broke out of this state of nightmarish thoughts yet a peaceful dream. Glancing around him, he realized that his friends were behind his back.
He got pushed by a few steps, just to glance once more at the game store and see a mobile-like screen was about to light up. He didn't pay any attention to it and waited for his friends to finish discussing and theorizing the teaser trailer.
"Shema, see that bridge! The developers said that it holds a secret that the lights will be shed on once the release drops."
"Seems like a secret area with some mysteries, I think it will hold some puzzles and whoever solves them first gets the rewards."
"I disagree. See that massive area at the end of it?"
Shema's eyes widened in shock, he understood what Shiro meant… and it only made him shiver… out of excitement, of course.
"A boss fight!"
"Exactly! I think he will be one of the strongest too."
Suddenly, out of frustration, Silent stepped in and said:
"Guys can you two call it a damn day! I have to go." sorrow and exhaustion were written on his face like a set of carved ruins... it was well written on him.
"Okay, Silent… let's go..."
With this, the friend group finally took some steps ahead.
And just after Silent sighed in relief...
"(Glitch Sounds)!"
He rotated his head slightly to the left once more while he was about to take his first step... the mobile-like screen started its show...
"Greetings, Scalers... beware of all of this around you. A game that will carve its name in history... (glitch sounds!) in the shifting dimensions of fantasy and reality, this game emerges in between... fighting, thriving to live, killing, murderers, emperors are born within, find the *****. Wake up! (Siren Sounds!)."
