Since he accepted the quest on thursday, Augustus had two full days to practice his new skill. Unfortunately, his sparring dummy didn't have any skills to counter, so he had to visit the gym.
Located near the center of town, the Hunter's gym was a tall structure that towered over most of the city. The only thing bigger than it was the Local Hunter's Guild.
It was a wide, brutalistic structure and had had a full parking lot most hours of the day. "Guess its true." Augustus stared up at the gym with his gym bag slung over his shoulder. "Hunter's really do devote their whole lives to Hunting. Whether it's in or outside the Dungeon, we hunters are always progressing."
He was wearing grey joggers and a loose white tee. His shoes were your typical running shoes. His phone chimed as he entered the building.
"Thanks for using the Hunter's Gym." the Hunters app said. "As a- B Grade- hunter, you can log up to 8 hours of gym time. You have access to the first two floors. Be sure to check out our store wher you can buy-"
He closed the app and his phone. "Not at them sponsoring their own merch through a notification.
On the first floor was your average gym. It had a weight lifting section, a set of treadmills, punching bags and a boxing ring. THat is, it was average for a Hunter's gym.
Imagine the average supermarket. Picture how massive it is. Then cram all of the equipment mentioned above until there's no space. Got it pictured?
Now triple that.
"This is absurd!" Augustus gasped. Every piece of equipment was being used. And if it wasn't, it was because it was out of order. "Fuck this! I'm going upstairs to train!"
He had better luck upstairs. That was because the second floor was a barely used feature that C grades and lower only heard about.
It was all white. The walls, the floors, the ceiling. All of it. Weird cyldners jutterd out from the floor and ceiling at odd angles. They were smooth faced metal objects with a bulb inside them.
His phone buzzed in his pocket. "Welcome to the Hologram room! Head to the Kiosk to lenar how to use this technology."
"Why do i feel like i'm in a game's tutorial?" he muttered. Still, he headed to the Kiosk.
