Argus Filch, caretaker of Hogwarts Castle, has become depressed since the attack on Mrs. Norris.
Every day he paced the place where Mrs. Norris was petrified, looking at every student who passed by with hostility, especially the Slytherin students; he felt that the criminal might come here again.
In a sense, Filch's instincts were correct.
The location of the secret room is actually at the innermost side of the corridor behind the attack site, in a bathroom.
That was the bathroom of Moaning Myrtle, the victim of the Chamber of Secrets incident fifty years ago.
Every time he passed by here, Jon felt a sense of fear... as if a basilisk would emerge from behind this brass door at any time and bite him or turn him into stone.
What's worse is that this bathroom is located right at the entrance to the castle above from the basement...which means that he has to pass through here every day on his way out of the Hufflepuff common room and on his way back.
So Jon was very cautious every time he passed by; he would not pass by unless he found a way to find a small group to join.
The book "Hogwarts: A History" in the library was completely borrowed. Not every college has a teacher as good as Professor Sprout. Moreover, the Hufflepuff students are low-key in nature and will not spread the news about the Chamber of Secrets.
...
...
In Potions class, he heard Astoria say that two precious herbs were stolen from Professor Snape's personal medicine cabinet, and it was most likely done by several students... Snape was investigating the matter and vowed to expel the thief.
There is no doubt that this is the work of the trio. Hermione Granger should have started preparing the Polyjuice Potion.
Jon's preparation progress was half a month faster than hers. The 12 lacewings had been boiled for two weeks, and only needed another week to add 1 ounce of crude antimony and 4 leeches with their mouthparts removed.
Jon thought that his talent in potions was no less than Hermione's. The environment of the Room of Requirement was obviously better than Myrtle's bathroom. Although he had one year less to study, he was still confident that he could successfully prepare this potion.
…
It's another Saturday morning.
Jon had just woken up and was practicing his occlumency in bed as usual.
"Jon... wake up... wake up..."
The violent knock on the door almost startled him.
"Jon, hurry up... Quidditch match... We're playing against Ravenclaw at nine o'clock, and then Gryffindor is playing against Slytherin at eleven o'clock... We have to go and cheer for Hufflepuff..." Zacharias Smith finished his words while panting, and started running towards another dormitory to call people.
"It's the Quidditch match now..." Jon lowered his voice and muttered to himself, "The next victim will appear soon."
He reluctantly got up from the bed, put on the yellow coat and scarf that had been prepared long ago, and walked out of the common room.
Then he found Hannah Abbott and Susan Bones and passed by the place where Mrs. Norris was attacked.
As soon as he arrived at the Quidditch field, he found that the field was surrounded by a sea of yellow, black and cyan. There were Hufflepuff students wearing yellow and black clothes, and Ravenclaw students wearing blue and bronze.
Supporters of the two houses stood on either side of the Quidditch pitch, cheering and shouting.
Ernie MacMillan used a piece of discarded rag to make a flag with a cheering badger on it. Ravenclaw was no slouch either, with a group of cyan and blue people forming the shape of an eagle.
"Come on, Cedric, you're the best..." Hannah shouted loudly.
"Come on, Hufflepuff!"
The players of both teams had already entered the field. Jon saw Cedric Diggory walking at the front of the yellow and black team. He didn't recognize the rest of the Hufflepuff players, they should all be senior students.
The players from both teams shook hands and then lined up around the referee, Madam Hooch.
Madam Hooch blew loudly on her silver whistle.
Fifteen flying brooms rose from the ground and soared high into the sky, and the competition began.
"The game starts... The Quaffle is immediately grabbed by Ravenclaw's captain Roger Davis... He runs all the way, dodges the Bludgers, and dribbles past Cadwallader... Is he going to shoot directly? No, Davis chooses to pass the ball to Chambers, who is facing an empty goal... Beautiful... Ravenclaw leads 10:0!"
When he's not commentating on Gryffindor or Slytherin games, Lee Jordan's commentary is pretty even-handed.
The cool breeze made Jon a little sleepy. To be honest, he had no interest in Quidditch... He was just dragged here by his classmates. And he didn't want to appear too unsociable, as that would be a bit inconspicuous.
The situation on the field was one-sided. The Ravenclaw chasers scored again and again, and the Ravenclaw cheerleaders cheered; while on the Hufflepuff side, the atmosphere gradually faded.
Lee Jordan continued to explain: "130:20. Ravenclaw is worthy of being the champion of the last Quidditch Cup. They gained an overwhelming advantage in just 20 minutes. Hufflepuff had no power to fight back... Wait..."
"Wait... Snitch! Golden Snitch! Cedric Diggory... He caught the Golden Snitch. Well done, Diggory, the game is over! Hufflepuff won 170:130!"
There was a sudden cheer on the field, and countless Hufflepuff students rushed into the field to celebrate this "hard-earned" victory with the players... Professor Sprout was also rejoicing with her students.
Looking at the Ravenclaw players, fans and Professor Flitwick who all had expressions as if they had eaten shit on their faces, Jon suddenly felt that this game was a bit interesting!
…
"Ladies and gentlemen, in twenty minutes, the match between Gryffindor and Slytherin will begin..." Lee Jordan's voice rang out again on the Quidditch field.
The celebrating Hufflepuff fans began to gradually leave the Quidditch pitch, and the Gryffindor cheerleaders walked in one after another.
Jon saw a small team: Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, followed by Colin Creevey with a camera and Ginny Weasley with her head down... He quickly avoided this "dangerous" team.
In the stands, Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall, the headmaster and vice-headmaster, who were not present in the previous game, have also arrived to watch this game.
Suddenly, Jon realized something very important:
In the next hour or so, the three saviors, Ginny Weasley who was controlled by Voldemort, and Albus Dumbledore, these important people he needed to avoid, were not in the castle.
In other words, as long as he avoided Filch, wouldn't he be able to do whatever he wanted in the castle?
Just do it!
Jon directly refused Zacharias's offer to drag him to the hall to celebrate.
"Sorry, I have to go back to the common room and get something."
Quickly returning to the Hufflepuff common room, Jon picked up a robe and took a ballpoint pen from the drawer.
…
Three minutes later, Jon appeared in front of Moaning Myrtle's bathroom in the corridor behind where Lady Norris was murdered.
He covered his face tightly with a robe so that others could not see his face.
He grabbed the brass knob and pushed the door open.
The floor was wet, and near the sink there was a crucible with boiling flesh in it.
A few candles burned low on brackets, emitting a dim light that made the floor look gloomy... very dark and dreary; under a large stained and cracked mirror, a stone pool with a peeling surface could be seen.
From the broken toilet at the innermost part, a whimpering sound could be heard. It must be Myrtle.
"There's a living person..." Myrtle seemed to notice his presence and floated over: "It seems to be another boy..."
"Go away, you ugly ghost!" Jon was rude and deliberately pretended to have a hoarse voice and said sarcastically: "Fat, ugly, crying, unhappy ghost!"
"Oooooh..." Myrtle suddenly sobbed sadly and returned to her toilet, splashing water all over the bathroom.
"Oh, and your face is covered with acne!"
Following this heavy taunt, Myrtle screamed, angrily crawled into the toilet and disappeared.
Jon breathed a sigh of relief and began to search under the pool.
Soon, he saw it: a small snake was carved on the side of a bronze faucet.
Jon took out a marker, then froze.
That's not right. If I write it here, wouldn't Voldemort, when possessed by Miss Weasley, come to open the door, discover it immediately?
After a little thought and calm analysis, he came up with an idea.
After walking a few steps to the left, I came to a pool on the left side of the secret room entrance.
Bending down, he wrote the following line in an inconspicuous place under the pool:
"My name is Ginny Weasley.
I felt like I had opened the secret room.
And something is controlling my mind,
The entrance to the secret room seems to be on the side of a copper faucet under the right pool.
You need a Parseltongue to open it.
Save me…"
The words were written very small and inconspicuous, and the whole bathroom was extremely dark... If you didn't bend down and take a closer look, you couldn't see anything at all.
Clapping his hands, Jon left the bathroom.
He also wiped the door handle to remove his fingerprints.
