Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Truth of reality

Feldway POV

Veldanava exhaled. "We're in a separate, higher dimension of the material belt. The material belt holds countless 'bubbles,' each one vast beyond comprehension, and there are nearly infinite bubbles."

So the theory of multiple universe was true all along…

"These bubbles are connected to higher dimensions, though some contain their own separate realms within. They are powered by Great Spirits I created—entities beyond concept, yet bound to the system known as V.O.W. Who operate those mindless beings"

My mind quickly connected what he meant. "So you're saying that the Great Spirits are just emotionless chunks used to power multiple universes?"

Veldanava just gave a small smirk to me, "True. They're egoless beings, meant to sustain the structure of existence. I made the system long before I relinquished my true strength." Veldanava's gaze sharpened. "Only one person, not as strong as me, can manipulate the Great Spirits. You'll meet her… soon."

A chill ran down my spine. Her?

Veldanava stretched his arms. "Ahem! Now, about my origins… I don't know where I was born. But I do know that I was gifted my power by a being known as the True Will—a force from the Real World."

My breath hitched. "The Real World?"

"Along with me, True Will created another being from a part of my own self. We didn't care for each other, but we were rivals. We fought constantly… but we also had fun." He paused. "Until the day everything changed."

"…What happened?"

Veldanava's expression darkened. "True Will cursed my counterpart, Destroyer Ivarage, with absolute knowledge—the ability to comprehend every reality, including the Real World itself. The weight of such knowledge drove Ivarage mad, turning him into a mindless force of destruction.

"In order to prevent the collapse of the Lower Realities, I fought and subdued him, stripping him of his power and taking some of his knowledge. And then…" His voice grew softer. "I relinquished my own power."

I clenched my fists. "Does that mean… my whole life was… planned?"

Veldanava remained silent.

My stomach churned. Was everything I had done—every choice I had made—merely a script written by an unseen force? If that was true, then… did I even have free will?

"…Well," Veldanava finally spoke, forcing a chuckle. "Does it really matter? I mean, you're just a weak being written by a higher-dimensional entity. What's there to worry about?"

My body moved before my mind could catch up. "Obviously, you wouldn't understand."

Veldanava froze.

"You—an all-powerful being, born into a lonely higher realm with only a mindless counterpart for company. NOT EVEN the True Will showed you love. You used your only friend for knowledge, and now you seek love from your creations to cope with your pathetic existence."

A thick silence fell between us.

Veldanava's head tilted downward, his expression unreadable. For the first time, the ever-smiling Creator was left speechless.

After a moment, he turned away. "I'll be heading to the West Heavenly Mountain. Train by yourself for now." Without another word, he ascended toward the mountaintop.

I stood there, regret creeping into my chest. Despite everything, I had always admired Veldanava—his passion, his endless curiosity about his own creations, and the way he spoke of them with such love.

I gritted my teeth. I needed to fix this.

I took flight, ascending toward the mountain. As I approached, I found him seated on the peak, staring into the vast skies, lost in thought.

I landed behind him, causing him to glance over his shoulder.

"You know," I started, my voice steady, "what I said before was true."

Veldanava gave a small nod, eyes still locked on the horizon.

"But there was an error in my statement." I exhaled. "You can feel love, in any shape or form. Even from your own creations. It's like a parent feeling love for their children."

Veldanava's eyes shimmered with something indescribable. A single tear formed—but in an instant, he wiped it away, forcing out a booming laugh.

"Kuahahaha! Did you really think your words hurt me? If so, you're completely wrong! I, the Great Star King Dragon, would never be hurt by a weaker being like you!"

I smirked, drawing my sword. "Oh yeah? Wanna test that, old man?"

Veldanava's grin widened. "Free hit. Go ahead. I don't even need to read your mind to whoop your a**"

This time, I would show him my discovery.
