Chapter 13 - Hellish Training (I)

Jin Yun, after hearing those words, clenched his fists. "You're right! I'm limiting myself too much."

He nodded and looked at Sun Lingxin with burning eyes. "Master, teach me body training. I want to learn how to use my body!"

"Master?" Sun Lingxin blinked, a little surprised.

But that was soon replaced by a smile. "Alright, how could I refuse such a lost soul?"

Jin Yun, seeing that expression, felt like he was going to regret his decision already.

'All for the sake of getting stronger' He whispered in his mind.

And he became determined.

Preparing his mindset for whatever training awaited.

"Well, since you consider me your master, I'll be your physical training mentor" Sun Lingxin said seriously.

"Jin Yun, as your first instruction, attack me with all your spiritual energy. Don't leave a trace of it in your body."

"Okay." Jin Yun went with the flow and began spinning all of his cyclones.

In the next second, he felt his temperament change, becoming more explosive, like that of a beast.

His gaze toward his master turned fierce, wanting to burn her alive.

"…"

"This change is interesting." Sun Lingxin laughed. "Come." She opened her arms, mimicking Jin Yun when he received the air orb.

Jin Yun, in that side-effect state, seeing that gesture, felt a strange and irritating sensation.

"Grrr." He got angry.

Drawing his spiritual soul.

Without wasting time, he slashed the air with his blade, sending out a red energy.

Which came out as a fierce line.

Sun Lingxin, seeing that, merely smiled and placed a finger in front of her.

When it touched the energy, it instantly dissipated.

"Did you use all of your explosive power, Jin?" She pondered, placing a hand on her chin, unsure how to address this disciple right now.

Jin Yun felt his pressure rise and flames cover his intense eyes.

In Jin Yun's vision, there was a red world, where there was only one enemy.

"You want to see my strength?" He growled. "I'll show you."

Holding his sword tightly, he condensed all his spiritual energy into it.

Making it glow in an orange-red hue.

Since he hadn't broken through the realm yet, his main component was still Blood Qi, influenced by Infernal Qi.

Which caused him to explode temporarily, overwhelmed with a strong killing intent.

"Woman, take this!"

He hurled his sword, which, midair, glowed red, and soon a river of blood was formed.

The blood within was hotter than hell.

Once someone gets lost in that place, only melting remains.

"My god, what an unfaithful disciple. Look at that killing intent" Sun Lingxin joked, looking at the infernal sea of blood coming straight at her.

"Good attack." She smiled and, grabbing the coin in her hand, threw it forward.

The coin increased its speed with every passing second.

A windstorm formed around it.

When it touched the river.

It sent a hurricane, destroying the entire sea of blood.

And it didn't stop, continuing straight toward the caster.

Jin Yun, who had used all his energy, recovered from the side effects.

But didn't have time to celebrate — he felt like he was about to die.

For the first time in his life.

He felt close to the end.

In his eyes, something invisible came at him with full force.

But before it hit, he saw a blue blur appear in front of him and grab the object like it was nothing.

Sun Lingxin appeared, catching the coin she herself had thrown.

"Incredible! Just how strong is this woman?" Jin Yun was stunned.

"Do you still want to kill me?"

Hearing that question, Jin Yun shivered. "No, this disciple was not himself before."

"I know, but be careful. That state is dangerous."

"Yes." Jin Yun knew that better than anyone. That's why he didn't let Huo Lie get close to him during the battle against the crocodile.

"I'm cautious when it comes to using spiritual energy. My move to attack you was because I know you're strong. I trust you" He said, smiling.

"Should I be happy about that?"

"Yes. Just like I accepted you sending me to death, I accepted wanting to kill you" Jin Yun said seriously.

"Fine."

Sun Lingxin didn't say anything — she had no counterargument.

Jin Yun's words were a knockout.

Seeing her like that, Jin Yun smiled. "Master, what's the next training?"

"You may laugh."

"..?" Jin Yun felt something was wrong. "Master, don't forget the training!"

"I know." Sun Lingxin forced a smile and looked at him deeply.

"The second part of my training is for you to endure the weight of ten thousand kilos with your mortal body." She threw out the challenge and, before Jin Yun could respond, placed several runes on his body, sealing all his meridians.

"I'll return in a day to check on your training, boy."

Finishing her words, she vanished.

Jin Yun, now alone, fell to the ground; the weight pressing on his back was immense.

"Damn! This hurts! That cursed woman!"

He cursed, feeling crushed by something illusory.

Then he forced himself to stand, his bones cracking in the process.

But he managed.

He'd been through too much to suffer over weight.

Walking to his room's door, he opened it and entered.

Each step he took was ten thousand times harder than before.

He was like a baby learning to walk, occasionally falling to the ground.

But he would get up as if nothing had happened.

Sitting on the bed, he collapsed onto the mattress.

"What's the purpose of this?" He thought while staring at the ceiling.

"To test my limit? How far I can go? Or does she want me to adapt to this weight?"

He felt the second option was more accurate.

"Alright! I accept it! Don't underestimate The Mad Undead... Challenges are just a way to make me stronger!"

Murmuring that, he closed his eyes. And slept for a while.

When he woke up, he got out of bed and started doing push-ups.

Trying to gain a bit of control over his body.

Every action was hard, especially lifting himself.

His hand, pressing against the floor, had to lift over ten thousand kilos.

It was hard. Very hard.

Jin Yun failed the first time, unable to rise from the ground.

"Hahaha!" That made him laugh, and at the same time, he dug his hands into the floor with force.

Not caring about anything else, he lifted himself.

"Clack."

He heard several cracking sounds — it was the bones in his arm breaking from the excessive force.

"I did it," he murmured, feeling proud of managing to lift himself.

Ignoring the pain.

Even though, seconds later, he crashed hard to the ground again, unable to hold himself due to his broken arm.

Boom!
