Adam stared at him, trying to show anger, but he was taken aback, and it amused him.
"What did you say to her?"
"I said that first you threatened to kill our children and then you used your authority as Alpha and made me do things to your wife that she would never accept me doing to her, and since I'm a werewolf, she knows I can't suppress my instincts..."
"Shall we drop this subject?" Kate asked annoyed, but they ignored her.
"And that story, did she believe it? Doesn't she know I don't kill children?"
"She does. But she hates you for forcing me into something I didn't want, taking advantage of both my subservience and your superior position."
"Did you convince her that the Alpha forced you to stick your penis in a woman, using leader manipulation?" Caricature asked and the men started laughing, and even Jenna and Ryan joined in. Adam was amused, too, but he restrained himself and just watched.
"I must warn you, my Alpha, that you must never turn your back on her again... I believe she talked about sticking silver knives in you..." Alexander continued to laugh like someone who had accomplished a great feat. "Also, be prepared for a call with some insults."
They laughed even harder.
"I need to ask you something, Alexandre." Adam asked seriously and everyone remained silent to listen.
"Yes, boss."
"You said you'd had sex with Sarah a few times..."
"Before you make fun of me, you should try it. She's very good at what she does. She knows how to give a pearl necklace massage... Did she do it with you, Alfa? You've been in her bed too."
"That's not what I want to know. Please stop! I don't want to throw up my lunch." Adam said angrily, but amusedly, and the men laughed. "She's seeing one of my werewolves. Who is it?"
"They're dating. He's in love with her."
"Who is he?" Adam's voice now came out a little impatient. Everyone at the table fell silent, and Alexander's amusement ended too.
"It's Johnny."
"That big guy who was with us this morning?" Jenna couldn't resist asking in surprise.
Kate also showed interest.
"That's him." Alexandre said, pushing his empty plate away.
"But he must have... He's married with children!" Adam said in surprise.
"Boss! Do you bother asking a woman you're attracted to if she has commitments? You just want her in your bed and that's that! That's how it is with everyone. They're no different, and they don't care, no." Alexandre said with a little fury. That prejudice was Jurassic.
"Tell Johnny to come and talk to me later... And you, Alexandre, take the weekend off and take your wife to the beach. You can leave the children here and I'll hire a babysitter, or you can take them with you."
"Thanks, boss. But you don't have to. Where am I going to get the money for accommodation? She'll kill me if I spend our savings. She wants to move to DreamStone one day, and that's her priority in life."
Adam stared at Alexandre angrily. He didn't know what it was like to crave something that could never be his. He was used to having everything he wanted.
"I don't understand how you can live on dreams, but I'll pay for all your expenses. You've worked with me for many years, we studied together and... And you can go to the beach in one of my cars too, and then you can take her for a helicopter ride."
"Why are you doing this? As you said yourself, I've known you since I was born, and I've never seen you do anyone any favors..." Alexandre asked, suspicious.
"Because I don't want silver knives being inserted into my back." He said angrily and everyone laughed.
"Well... I think a trip to the beach and a helicopter ride will placate my wife's fury..."
"But that's not all, Alexandre. I've conquered the majority command of the mafias on every continent. Now I must destroy all those who rebel against me, and unfortunately, they are human. You must prepare to gather werewolves to travel in search of destroying everyone who doesn't swear allegiance to me. In the meantime, Ryan will bring me all our men, one city at a time, and I'll turn some of them into werewolves. He'll choose the most loyal."
Ryan laughed.
"Are you going to trust my opinion?"
Adam looked at him thoughtfully.
"I'm Alpha, Ryan. No werewolf can fool me, and even before you gave yourself over to the pain of no longer being Sigma, I felt that our werewolf bond had been restored. I know you'll do the right thing."
"I don't think my wife will forgive you for this so easily. She'll accept the trip, but knowing her, I know she'll get back at you in her own way. After all, you're sending me on long trips. I think she'd rather see me fucking Kate."
"I can't hand this task over to someone else, Alexandre. Right now, you, the caricature and Ryan are the only ones who are fit to lead. Tell your wife that she can accompany you on your travels, but it won't be safe for your children."
Alexandre shook his head.
"That's fine with me, boss. I'm flattered by your trust and I won't take my wife with me. I'm not going to have fun, I'm going to work."
Adam nodded in satisfaction.
"And I want to make it clear to all of you here that I am the wife of Adam, your boss and Alpha, and as such, I demand respect from now on. I don't want to hear any debauchery about me. And I want you to greet me decently, as your superior. You'd better obey me, or things won't be good for anyone who comes to break these rules. I don't want you to touch me without my permission, or without me ordering you to do so!" Kate said adamantly, taking advantage of the pause in their conversation, and they all listened in silence.
The men began to get up and leave until it was just Adam, Kate and Jenna at the table.
