My eyes fluttered open as I stared at the dark ceiling, my head lost in thought.
A silencer...
I kept hearing my mom's voice, but now... the voice belongs to a silencer...
'It's too early to start thinking,' Mila's voice echoed in my head.
I didn't want to talk to her. I felt hurt and betrayed by my own dreams.
Why would that voice keep calling me and impersonating my mom's voice?
All these unanswered questions clouded my head. Will I ever find the answers?
"Kitten," Logan's deep voice echoed beside me.
I turned beside me and saw him.
Shirtless...
Oh my goddess...
Shirtless... with his tattoos spread all over his chest.
I didn't know I was holding my breath until I couldn't breathe anymore.
His packs... his freaking six,
no
eight packs.
I gulped and clenched my knuckles, resisting the urge to trace my fingers over them.
"You should get ready now to leave. I'll go bring your food," he stated before getting up and putting on a shirt, leaving me in shock and hurt.
Shocked because of how sexy he looked, and hurt because I was leaving.
'Did you honestly think you would live here forever?' Mila taunted me.
"Shut up, Mila," I muttered while sitting up on the bed.
"Whatever," she muttered.
I couldn't feel her presence in my head anymore.
I inhaled the scent of Logan's shirt I was wearing. The smell of wood and spices.
For some reason, it comforted me.
I didn't want to go. I felt safe and happy here. The more I said it, the more it didn't make sense to me.
Logan was Brian's friend, which would put me in another predicament of trying to destroy their relationship when I'm not doing anything. And secondly, I didn't know Logan, and he didn't know me either.
If he knew who I was, he wouldn't be taking care of me like he is now. And I didn't want him to know either.
I stood up from the bed and stretched my body a little before heading to the bathroom.
I removed the shirt from my body, including the shorts, leaving me completely naked and bare. The warmness of the shower made me groan a little because I knew this was the last time I was ever going to shower like this again.
I took more time in the shower than I usually do, filling myself with scented soap and oils.
I came out of the shower. I didn't know what to wear, so I just put on a black robe that had a crescent symbol on it. It was comfy and my size.
I dried my hair with the towels around the bathroom.
"Kitten," Logan's voice echoed behind me.
"Oh my moon Goddess," I muttered while holding my chest.
I turned my back to find him gazing at my body.
"You scared me," I stated.
He didn't say anything as per usual. Always kept quiet and stared at me.
This time was different. He didn't look at my face; this time, he looked at my body, especially my neck, darkly.
His eyes flickered with an unreadable expression.
I gulped.
Did he find my body disgusting?
I felt the cold wind touch my skin.
I shivered.
"Logan," I whispered.
Then his gaze lifted from my body to my face.
He clenched his jaw.
"Your food," he muttered, his voice sounding gruff.
I blinked and nodded.
"Thank you," I muttered while he placed the food on the table.
He just nodded and went to the bathroom.
He was weird today, and I didn't know why.
I continued drying my hair. It was difficult to brush it because of how tangled it was. I wanted to cut it, but never got the opportunity to do so.
"Dina," a voice echoed beside me.
I turned in the direction of the voice but didn't see anyone.
That voice...
'It's not your mom, Dina. It's a silencer,' Uriah's voice echoed in my head.
"Dina," the voice echoed again.
"Who's here?" I asked.
"Don't die," the voice echoed again, but this time it came from the bedside.
That was super strange. No one was beside the bed.
And the voice kept on echoing.
"Dina," the voice echoed again.
"Don't go, Dina," this time Mila's voice muttered in my head.
"What?" I muttered.
"Something is here. A being. It's very dangerous," she muttered.
"Dina," the voice muttered again.
I gulped, feeling goosebumps rise on my skin.
"Show yourself," I muttered, trying hard to conceal my fear.
Nothing...
Nothing but silence responded to me.
A light tap on my shoulder made my blood freeze.
I gulped as I slowly turned around.
A black shadow figure with a melted face appeared in front of me.
"Dina," the being muttered.
I screamed from the top of my lungs.
Then my vision turned black.
Blood…
Blood…
That's all I could see.
But why?
"Kill her," the sound of a deep voice echoed through the halls.
'Dina, run,' Mila's voice muttered in my head.
"Why?" I asked, confused by what was happening.
"Just fucking run, Dina! Now!" she screamed at me.
I did as she said.
The sounds of gunshots fired.
I flinched at the sound, my heart pounding inside my lungs.
Another gunshot...
Another...
Then the last one pierced into my heart.
I fell on the floor with a thud.
I winced in pain.
I touched my chest, blood…
I had been shot.
The sounds of footsteps echoed throughout the hall.
I looked up and saw a black boot with a crescent sign on it.
I knew that symbol.
I looked up to find Logan staring at me sinisterly.
"Game's over, kitten," he muttered.
Then he bent to my level on the floor, grabbing my chin.
"I won. Now it's your time to die," he muttered.
My breathing became uneven. I clenched my chest where I had been shot.
"Logan?" I muttered weakly.
"I told you I hated lies, kitten, remember?" he murmured.
A tear fell down my face.
"Logan, please," my voice became drastically weak as my vision blurred.
"Now you will have to pay for lying to me," he whispered as his fangs grew and his green eyes turned bloody red.
"Log...an... please...." I whispered, but I don't think he could hear me.
He sank his fangs into my neck.
I screamed in pain.
