CHAPTER 9
He tussled and turned in his sheets as the night prevailed, The horrified look on her face, her screams, she begged him, she pleaded with him, but there was nothing he could do, it was an accident he told himself, he didn't mean to do it, it was an accident....it was an..
"I KILLED THEM!!" he screamed as he jerked awake
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry...I'm sorry" he sobbed as he tried to catch his breath and ran a hand through his scattered hair, his body drenched in sweat as he clenched the cloth that covered his lower body, a cloth he did not recognize, he looked around the room and he didn't recognize anything he saw, the walls had soft floral patterns with soft blue paint and every piece of furniture was foreign to him. He stood up from the bed and looked around the room, There was no one else but him In it, he took a few steps forward and saw his reflection in the mirror, he came closer and took his appearance in, dark scattered brown hair, flat yet thick eyebrows and thin lashes that highlighted his jade eyes, a small straight nose, pouty lips and perfect jaw line, his skin was smooth, slightly pale and fair, he had broad shoulders and detailed muscles that he didn't even understand. He had always thought of a female version of his mother whenever he thought of himself but now that he saw what he looked like he realized they looked nothing alike, it surprised him how physically attractive he was. His chest and stomach where wrapped with bandages but he felt no pain from them, he trailed his hand on the bandage trying to feel the wound but couldn't so then he proceeded to walk out of the room.
Outside the room was a passage, with three doors on one side and a large gap at the end of the other side, he walked quietly to the gap and saw dark floral curtains, he walked through the curtains and found himself in the parlour, he looked around the room, one small chair and one bigger chair that had a pillow and blanket scattered on it, he looked at the table in the middle of the room and saw a stack of books, he picked one up and looked at the cover, but since he couldn't read, all the letters looked like scribbles and random line's, he put the book down and was about to walk to what looked like and entrance when he heard the soft footsteps of someone inside the house, The hairs on his body rose with alert as his head snapped in the direction of the footsteps
"Hey sleepy head, " he heard a soft female voice say, he stared at the person who had just emerged from the gap he had passed a few moments ago and was blown away by the person that stood before him.
"You finally woke up, thought you were going to sleep forever" she said as she cleaned her hands with a rag and walked towards him, he stumbled backwards still cautious but immediately she got into touching distance her scent overpowered him, Flowers and something sweet, he took another cautious step back causing her too pause.
"It's ok" she said softly taking slow steps closer and closer to him "I'm not gonna hurt you." he assured, noticing the fear in his eyes, he stopped moving and let her approach him, she placed her hands on his stomach and pressed her palm on the place that was injured.
"Hmmmm," she made a quiet sound as she noticed something "your injuries, they've healed." she said softly her voice filled with surprise as she began to remove his bandages
"You're really close" he said nervously, her eyes sparkled as she heard his relaxing voice that somehow managed to be deep and soft at the same time.
"Oh, sorry" she said with a chuckle as she took a step back
"Thank you" he said after a short awkward silence.
"No problem." she replied with a smile "Are you hungry?" she asked
"Yeah a little bit" he answered shyly.
"Good, I made dinner" she said with a joyful grin, she turned around and walked through the curtains but he just stood still slightly confused, she noticed and walked back.
"Come," she urged, poking her head through the curtains
"Oh" he said as he followed her through the curtains into one of the other room's that turned out to be a kitchen.
The temperature in the kitchen was so uncomfortably different from the parlour that it made sweat trickle down his face, he watched her move gracefully from corner to corner as she picked up plates and spoon's, After a few minutes she was done she turned around holding two plates of food and passed one to him, he took it from her hand and looked at it weirdly, he had never seen it before, he followed her as she walked back to the parlour and sat down at a table at an elevated part of the parlour, they both sat down and she began to eat, He watched her as she carefully blew on the hot food before putting it in her mouth, he looked at the food on his plate and put a spoon full in his mouth, his eyes widened and his taste bubs danced with joy as the food melted in his mouth
"This is really good," he said, unable to contain his excitement as he took another spoon and another and another.
"Slow down, slow down, savour it," she said with a chuckle.
"Sorry," he apologized with a shy smile as he put the spoon down.
"You're really beautiful" he said abruptly, Her cheeks immediately turned a bright red, the compliment had completely caught her off guard and the smile on her face widened as she felt her cheeks heat up.
"Thank you," she said as she tried to hide her blush
He refocused on his food and she watched him calmly, questions forming in her head, all which she planned on getting the answer's too, after a few seconds of silence he noticed her stare.
"What?" He asked.
"Who are you?" She responded with a question that made his heart sink.
