"Jack, our place is a bit small. Please sit here."
Ms. Morgan hurriedly cleared a spot on the bed, feeling somewhat embarrassed about the cramped space in their home.
Jack glanced around the small room and shook his head. Now that he had money, he couldn't allow Samantha and her mother to continue living in such a dilapidated environment.
"Ms. Morgan, just pack the essentials. I'll help you find a new place."
Ms. Morgan hesitated. She had already accepted so much from Jack and was worried that her daughter might be seen as dependent on him.
Jack saw her reluctance and added, "Ms. Morgan, if not for yourself, then think of Samantha. She's now the director of a hospital, living here will only bring unnecessary gossip."
He glanced at Samantha, and she quickly understood.
"Mom, Jack is right. This place is no longer suitable for us."
Seeing her daughter's firm decision, Ms. Morgan finally nodded in agreement.
They didn't take much—just a simple bag. Jack carried it to the car and then took out his phone to check if there were any new residential areas near Fukang Hospital.
Fuping Garden – Only a 10-minute walk from Fukang Hospital.
Jack took Ms. Morgan and Samantha to the sales office of Fuping Garden. As they entered, a well-dressed saleswoman in a black suit approached them.
"Welcome to Fuping Garden, sir. Have you already chosen a unit?"
Based on her experience, she could tell that Jack was the decision-maker in this group.
"Not yet, could you give me a brief introduction?"
Jack's straightforward answer indicated that he wasn't familiar with the housing options.
"Of course, sir. Please follow me to the model display area, and I will give you a detailed introduction."
Just as she was about to speak, a mocking voice came from behind.
"Well, well, if it isn't our dear Jack!"
The tone was dripping with sarcasm.
Jack turned to see a man in a white suit, his hair styled with a perm, his face pale, clearly a result of overindulgence. He was arm-in-arm with a heavily made-up woman, exuding a strong perfume scent.
Jack wrinkled his nose, quickly scanning his inherited memories, and realized that the man was Ethan Wang, a small rich kid with whom he had always been at odds.
Ignoring Ethan's provocation, Jack turned back to the saleswoman and said, "Please continue."
When Ethan realized that Jack was completely ignoring him, his face darkened.
"Hey, sweetheart, you're wasting your time. He can't afford to buy a house here."
Ethan sneered, certain that Jack was still as poor as before. Even Ethan himself had only managed to scrape together enough money to buy a small apartment for his girlfriend, after begging his mother for help.
The saleswoman hesitated for a moment, wondering if she had misjudged Jack's financial status. But when she saw Jack's calm demeanor, she decided to trust her instincts.
"Sir, on the left are standard apartments ranging from 100 to 200 square meters, and on the right are premium units just launched today. These units come fully equipped, and because of their spacious design and high-end finishes, they are significantly more expensive."
Seeing that she ignored his words and continued the introduction, Ethan decided to stick around and watch Jack make a fool of himself.
"How many premium units are still available on the right?" Jack asked.
"At the moment, both buildings are fully sold out."
Jack took out his card and handed it to the saleswoman. "I'll take both of them. Tell me the total price—no discounts, only full price."
The saleswoman was momentarily stunned, staring at Jack in disbelief.
"Sir... are you sure you want both buildings?"
Buying property wasn't like buying groceries. People usually took months to consider their options, but Jack had made his decision in just a few seconds.
Jack nodded. "Yes, I'll take both and pay full price, no discounts."
Seeing his determined expression, the saleswoman dared not doubt him anymore. She took the card and gave a slight bow.
"Sir, please have a seat. I will process the payment right away."
She then quickly walked toward the manager's office, her high heels clicking on the floor.
Ethan burst into laughter. "Did you hear that? They're about to expose your bluff! What a joke!"
Jack completely ignored him.
At that moment, a voice sounded in Jack's mind.
"Congratulations, host! You spent 310 million, and received a cashback of 310 million. Failure points: 3."
Jack frowned. "Wait a minute, system, this doesn't add up. I spent an extra ten million. Shouldn't I get an extra failure point?"
"Failure points are awarded only in increments of ten billion."
Jack grumbled inwardly. "This system is such a scam."
A moment later, the saleswoman returned, followed by a middle-aged man in a suit—obviously the manager.
Ethan chuckled. "See? They're here to expose your act. I hope you're ready for the embarrassment."
The saleswoman stopped in front of Jack, holding his card in both hands, her voice trembling with excitement.
"Mr. Jack, this is your card. A payment of 310 million dollars has been successfully processed."
Ethan's face turned pale, his smug smile frozen as if he had swallowed a fly. Even his girlfriend's expression changed dramatically.
Meanwhile, although Ms. Morgan and Samantha knew that Jack was wealthy, they were still at a loss for words. Buying two whole buildings on the spot? This was beyond their imagination. They stood there, stunned, their jaws aching.
Jack casually took his card back.
The manager, seeing such a high-profile buyer, immediately approached and handed him a business card. "Mr. Jack, I am the manager here. If you need anything, feel free to contact me at any time."
Jack handed the card to Samantha. "From now on, these properties will be managed by you. If you need anything, just contact him."
Jack turned to the manager and said, "All future real estate matters will be handled through Miss Samantha. Please be sure to cooperate with her."
The manager quickly nodded. "Understood, Mr. Jack. Samantha, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. I will personally handle any issues you have."
Samantha was still a bit stunned. Did I just become the owner of multiple buildings?
She mechanically nodded, still trying to process the shock of it all.
