CHAPTER THREE: ABNORMAL?

Opening my eyes after what seemed to be the deepest slumber of my life I stopped the alarm and raised my upper body from the bed and looked around the pitch black room.

I returned from the test saga by 1pm and the time now was 11:47pm meaning I had been in an unconscious state for almost 11 hours.

Yup, 11 hours cause the time I was awake I was only semi-awake just following the basic instincts to keep myself comfortable before falling asleep again.

Touching my forehead and feeling the dried liquid on my forehead the memories came rushing back to me as I recalled the weird feeling I had been feeling since I woke up earlier.

I stood up and turned on the light then walked closer to the mirror and focused on my body again then saw the same weird spots of light that seemed like a myriad of colors, sometimes black, other times white or yellow.

This strange occurrence made me seem like I was still dreaming so I raised my hands and pinched hard on my arm, opening my eyes again I was forced to accept the fact that I was really seeing lights!

'Wow, is this the beginning of insanity? I feel like I'm going nuts'

'First thing I need a cool bath, yeah and fresh air to cool off'

Going into the bath I made sure to clean every part of my body especially my head and rinsed it then stood under the shower for a few minutes before returning to my room.

Grabbing a pair of pants and a black hood I left the room with the aim of having a walk to catch some fresh air.

The city of Lagos at night is indeed a sight to behold with numerous neon lights and people walking by like it was day and on a normal day I would be admiring the scenery but today I was rather stumped as I saw the same balls of light in anyone I actually focused my eyes on.

I sat down at a nearby stall with a soda can in my hand still trying to get accustomed to the weird circumstances I found myself in and recollecting everything I've discovered so far it seemed that the different colors were for genders.

The men had lights of blue color swirling in them while the women had red colors and it seemed it was changing from a person to another.

Some were brightly colored while others were dull, but in a way all of the colors although the same never seemed to be the same.

Holding my head in my hands I could feel a splitting headache assaulting my whole body like never before.

I spent a few minutes to call myself down and then thought to myself

'If this is really real and I'm not dreaming then only I can see these colors and they can't just be colors, if only I could observe one closer then I would be able to figure out just what those little balls of light are'

Instead of going through the stress of observing it from someone else I would like to observe mine but the myriad of colors made me unable to see anything and the little I was able to see was just black.

In normal situations I would be scared of the unknown but seriously here is life giving me a chance to be different and I definitely won't be throwing it away now.

My dream when I was a child was to be able to make a difference and be noticed but unfortunately I was really not talented enough to make that happen and despite my efforts nothing really changed and as time passed but now life was giving me a chance a new chance to make things right but with a different perspective now.

I might not be interested in making others notice me anymore but no one would be interested in living a life as a nobody all his life and I would definitely grab any chance given to me.

The first thing I noticed since I woke up was the fact that I felt so light, not stronger or faster but I felt like my entire body was relived of every burdens on it and also I noticed the strange thing about my body's regeneration now.

Lifting a shard of glass I had picked up earlier I slashed down on my hand and watched as my body patched itself up in the span of three minutes.

Looking at my hand again in a daze I felt astonished and I had to believe it over and over again that I had really gained a sort of superhuman power.

Regeneration, it seemed the reason I was always able to survive those incidents was because I had this little ability of mine and although it wasn't as exaggerated as those in the manga's where a little cut like this would heal in a second it was something to start from.

But now I had even more questions.

If a little wound like this required three minutes to heal then how was I able to survive brushing arms with death twice and survive?

If my injuries were to heal in about twenty minutes time and I had bled to death before then how would I be able to survive? Not to mention the fact that I could remember my skull cracked badly when I was still seven back then.

Even if I were to heal in three minutes I'd still be dead but I decided to leave all those aside and focus on the current main issues.
