Jason had always had eyes for her, and their marriage alliance has been fixed from early.
And that didn't sit well with Gina and her mother, Fiona.
"Gina, you love Jason right? He's all yours. You can marry him." She said to Gina before turning to face Jason, " As for you, consider our marriage tomorrow terminated. I dare not dream of marry a scum like you—." She had barely finished her statement when Jason slapped her square on the face.
Sabrina's face whipped to the side.
Gina smirked.
"Did you just raise your hand on me, Jason Kennedy?." The disbelief was obvious in Sabrina's face.
Jason sneered, " Yes I did, and I won't mind doing it again if you cross your lane. Do you think I won't cheat on you Sabrina? That's crazy! With your reproach towards sex, which man will keep you as their girlfriend and won't cheat?."
He said mockingly, much to the shock of Sabrina.
So… he cheated on her because she always denied him sex?
She felt stupid.
So stupid for falling for someone like him.
Chuckling, Sabrina dusted her face like he didn't just struck her a few moments ago and smiled, " Well done, Mr Kennedy. I can promise you that I'll never marry you, you can wait and see."
Without hearing another word from him, she marched out of the store, even ignoring the guilty Delilah who tried to explain.
Tears threatened to spill from her eyes, but Sabrina promised herself she wouldn't cry for an asshole like Jason.
In a bid of free her already worsened mood, she decided to take a stroll around the dark neighbourhood.
—————
Sabrina was lost in her thoughts when she felt a drop of water on her hair. Looking up at the beautiful, dark and cloudy sky that seemed pregnant, she couldn't help but clench her fists and bit her lip.
Damn Gina. Damn Gina. Why was she always trying to drag with her? And Jason wholeheartedly and foolishly fell into her hands.
As the image of the two mating crossed her mind, she felt disgusted.
She imagined wearing that same dress to the altar with Japan had it been she didn't witness such a scene.
Her phone has been ringing for quite such time, but she was in no mood to answer any call. She knew it'd be from Windy.
As the breeze blew pass her, she embraced herself to keep from the cold.
The night was chilly, yet peaceful. It was the best atmosphere for Sabrina to let go of her sadness.
"Just why? I hate Gina!." She muttered to herself. She hated her. She hated Gina. She hated the fact that Gina always got what she wanted, just like her mother, Fiona.
Gina was nothing but the illegal daughter of the Wonders family. A child accepted by her father when he got married to Fiona, shortly after the death of her mother, Nelly Wonders.
She was the true daughter of the Wonders family, yet,Gina, who was a love child was the receiving all the love and attention from Zachary, her father.
While still drowning in her thoughts, she was immediately brought back to reality when she felt a force tug at her hand, and before she could make tail of what was going on, she found herself on the ground.
With a man.
Who laid motionlessky beside her.
She stared at him, shocked.
It was dim, so she couldn't see his features well, but from the looks of it, his face seemed disheveled, and his shoulder-length hair covered nearly half his face.
She stood up and dusted her body.
"Can't you watch where you're going?." Sabrina heavily and angrily kicked him on the calf. But there was no reaction from him. His body remained still.
"Hey." Sabrina kicked him again, this time lighter, but his body remained unresponsive.
She bent and and touched his chest in order to feel his heartbeat, which was beating slowly.
"Stop pretending to be dead." She muttered to him, yet, silence.
She got up and placed her hands on her waist with a frustrated look. Where had he come from? He pulled her down out of nowhere and pretended to be dead?
Still staring at the man, it suddenly started drizzling and then, it turned into a heavy rain, causing Sabrina to be drenched completely.
"Damn it!." She cursed as she turned to walk away.
But she had barely taken some few steps and she paused and look back.
Wouldn't it be wicked of her to leave him in a situation like this? Should she carry him and just drop him around anywhere that was safe? No, in Spain currently, especially Catalonia, it wasn't safe to be found outside at night, because of thieves.
That would mean she has to take him to a hotel? She shook her head. It would be to worst idea. She was with an unconscious man, it would be natural if people suspected that she was the reason he was in such a state.
After much thinking, she finally decided to take him to her house, but on the condition that immediately he regains consciousness, she'd definitely throw him out.
With much thoughts in her mind, she snaked his hand over her shoulder and got him up with lots of stamina she started breathing heavily.
Gritting her teeth, she yelled, " I hate today!."

Sabrina gazed at the stranger as she wiped his face and neck with a damp towel. Yesterday, due to the dimness of the night, she wasn't able to see his face well.
Until this morning.
Staring at his pretty features, she appreciately his godly looks and also wondered why he was in the condition he was last night.
"Pretty man, what were you doing outside by that time?Did you steal something and was on the run from the police?."
She questioned as she poked his cheek, giggling at how tender it was.
"I'm not going to lie though. You're one handsome fellow." She traced his eyebrows, which were thick and ebony.
She then proceeded to touch his jaw and was marvelled at how sharp it looked.
No doubt, the stranger was undeniably sexy and had the height roughly estimated to probably around 6'5" tall.
She was still playing with his face when a call from her dad made her to come to a stop.
She left the bedroom for the kitchen to answer the call.
