Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Welcome, Villain Instructor

In a world where cultivation met capitalism, where ancient qi flowed beneath Silicon Valley, and sword sects streamed their battles live on YouTube...

Lin Fang woke up with a splitting headache—and a job offer he never applied for.

"You are now the Cultivation Combat Instructor at Liberty High Spirit Academy."

A cold robotic voice echoed in his mind, accompanied by a flickering blue screen.

[Villain System Activated.]

[Main Objective: Become the Ultimate Villain.]

[First Task: Slap the 'Chosen One' in public.]

"...Huh?" Lin Fang sat up.

White marble walls. Gold-trimmed banners with eagle emblems. A statue of George Washington holding a spirit sword stood outside the window.

His reflection on the glass showed a new face. Tall, sharp-eyed, black long hair tied loosely behind. Dressed in a dark martial robe fused with a modern blazer—an odd blend of ancient Chinese and Ivy League professor.

This ain't China... this ain't Earth either. What kind of isekai is this?

He looked down at the tag pinned to his chest:

Name: Lin Fang

Position: Villain Instructor

Department: Combat Cultivation Division

Before he could fully process the absurdity, the door burst open.

A teenage boy with spiky blond hair, an American flag headband, and blazing blue qi walked in like he owned the room.

"I'm Blake Smith," the teen grinned, arms crossed. "Top student of the Liberty High Spirit Academy. Also known as the 'Star-Spangled Cultivator'."

Lin Fang squinted.

Ah. Found the protagonist.

"I'm just here to give you a proper welcome, sensei." Blake's grin turned arrogant. "All new instructors are required to duel with the top student to prove their qualifications. Hope you don't mind."

[Villain Task Updated.]

Defeat the Protagonist in Front of the Class

Reward: +100 Villain Points

Unlock: [Finger of Destruction] – A technique to erase spiritual defenses with a single touch

Lin Fang cracked his neck.

"Sure. Lead the way."

Ten minutes later, they stood in the school's open-air battle arena, surrounded by a ring of curious students. Most wore red-white-blue robes, with spirit eagles flying overhead.

An announcer began:

"New Instructor Lin Fang will be sparring with our top disciple, Blake Smith! Prepare for spiritual fireworks!"

Blake flexed, his spiritual energy swirling like fireworks on the 4th of July. "Don't blink, new guy."

Lin Fang just yawned.

"Begin!"

Blake shot forward with a flying kick, air cracking behind him. His fists glowed with Freedom Qi, boosted by a technique called Liberty Barrage Fist.

To Lin Fang, he looked like a patriotic monkey on steroids.

He casually dodged the blow by tilting his head slightly.

[Villain Value +10 – You made the Protagonist miss.]

Blake growled. "Lucky shot!"

This time, he summoned his Spirit Rifle Technique—a qi-powered energy beam from his palm.

BOOM!

The ground cracked as dust exploded—but when the smoke cleared, Lin Fang stood behind him.

"You talk too much."

He tapped Blake's back with one finger.

[Skill Activated: Finger of Destruction]

A faint ripple surged through Blake's body.

CRACK!

His spiritual barrier shattered like glass.

Blake collapsed to the ground, coughing blood.

The arena fell silent.

"W-what… how…?!" Blake groaned, unable to stand.

Lin Fang turned toward the crowd, eyes cold and voice calm.

"Lesson one: don't challenge someone you can't understand."

[Villain Value +100]

[New Title Acquired: The Unreasonable Instructor]

---

Students began whispering.

"Who is this guy?"

"He beat Blake without even attacking…"

"Is he a legendary rogue cultivator?"

"Or just… evil?"

Lin Fang smirked.

Good. Let them speculate. Fear breeds respect.

Back in his quarters, the system chimed again.

[Daily Villain Bonus: +5 Spirit Points]

[New Quest Available: Steal the Headmaster's Secret Technique]

Lin Fang poured himself tea, watching the moonlight reflect in his cup.

A school full of heroes. A system that rewards villainy. A second life with no rules...

He smiled.

"Time to teach these star-spangled brats what a real cultivator looks like."

As Lin Fang stood by the window, watching the moonlight spill over the ancient tiled roofs of the Liberty High dorms, the system chimed again.

[Bonus Quest: Build Your Villain Reputation – 1/10 students impressed or terrified.]

[Reward: Passive Skill – Aura of Authority (Lv.1)]

He smirked.

One student down. Nine to go.

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in," Lin Fang said, already knowing who it was.

The door creaked open, and a young woman stepped inside. She had silver hair tied in a high ponytail, cold blue eyes, and wore a tight black combat robe with the school's crest over her heart.

"I'm Aria Chase," she said sharply. "Assistant instructor, Spirit Combat Department."

She crossed her arms. "You humiliated Blake Smith. That kid is the pride of the academy. You're not making friends here."

Lin Fang chuckled.

"I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to make cultivators."

Her eyes narrowed. "You'd better know what you're doing. The headmaster won't tolerate disruption."

"I'm counting on that," Lin Fang replied smoothly.

As she turned to leave, the system whispered again.

[New Target Marked: Aria Chase – Hidden Destiny Detected]

[Optional Villain Path: Corrupt, Conquer, or Convert?]

Lin Fang's eyes gleamed slightly.

> Interesting. A hidden destiny heroine type… and an enemy of the villain by default. This place really is an RPG playground.

---

Back in the arena, Blake Smith lay on a stretcher, still clutching his ribs. A group of students surrounded him, whispering furiously.

"That guy's dangerous…"

"He didn't even use a weapon…"

"I heard he's from the East. Like, real East. Where people ride swords and drink lightning."

Someone whispered, "He's not just an instructor. He's a final boss."

---

Lin Fang sat cross-legged on the floor of his quarters. His fingers moved in a subtle mudra. Spiritual energy flowed into his body as if summoned from the stars.

He wasn't just adapting.

He was planning.

Let them have their chosen ones, their patriotic heroes, their shiny ideals.

I'll be the villain they never expected. The one they'll never be ready for.

The System buzzed softly, as if it were smiling.1
