Chapter 32 - Chapter 31: The Awakening of the Beast

The battle was far from over. The mist clung to the air, thick and oppressive, swirling around the fighters like an entity of its own. Zabuza and Kakashi faced off in a deadly dance of strength and strategy, the tension palpable. With each step, each movement, it became more and more evident that the outcome of this fight would determine the fate of the Land of Waves.

Switch to Sasuke's POV

Sasuke's body was already sore, his breathing ragged, but he wasn't about to give up. Haku's speed was unmatched, and his graceful movements made it hard to keep up. The ice jutsu, too, made the ground slippery, and Sasuke had to keep his footing steady at all times. But there was no room for mistakes, not when Naruto's safety was at stake.

Naruto and Sasuke had been fighting side by side for what felt like hours, but even Naruto's brashness couldn't cover for the massive gap in skill between them and Haku. Naruto had already taken a hit, his shoulder bloodied from a precise ice needle, but he was determined to keep fighting.

"Sasuke, look out!" Naruto shouted, narrowly dodging a barrage of ice needles that Haku threw at him.

Sasuke's Sharingan flared as he saw Haku poised to strike. The ninja was fast, too fast for either of them to land a solid blow. Sasuke's mind raced, calculating their options. He knew they couldn't win this fight just by brute force. They needed a strategy.

But just as he was about to execute a plan, Haku vanished in a blur, his form blending into the mist, and the next thing Sasuke knew, Naruto was in front of him, pushing him aside.

"Get out of the way!" Sasuke yelled, but it was too late.

Naruto's face twisted in pain, his eyes wide with shock as a dozen ice needles pierced his body. Time seemed to freeze for a moment, Sasuke's heart racing in his chest as he watched his best friend stagger, blood dripping from the numerous wounds.

"Naruto!" Sasuke shouted, pushing through the ice beneath his feet, desperate to reach his fallen teammate.

But Naruto wasn't done yet. There was a fire in his eyes, a primal fury that Sasuke had never seen before. His body trembled, the chakra flowing through him erratically. The unmistakable sensation of demonic energy surged in the air, thick and oppressive.

Without warning, the chakra, tainted by the Nine-Tails, exploded outward in a violent burst, slamming into Haku with the force of a tidal wave.

Sasuke barely had time to react before the energy hit him too, sending him flying back, his body slamming against the ice with brutal force. But the only thing Sasuke could focus on was Naruto.

Naruto's eyes glowed a deep, fiery red, his entire being radiating with the terrifying chakra of the Nine-Tails.

"RAAAAAH!" Naruto roared, his body surrounded by the raw energy of the beast within him.

Switch to Kakashi's POV

Kakashi's attention shifted as he felt a surge of power that made his body tense. It wasn't just the air thickening, nor the sound of the battle raging in front of him. No, it was the unmistakable feeling of Naruto's chakra, swirling around them like a storm.

So it begins... Kakashi thought grimly, his Sharingan spinning to life as he blocked a blow from Zabuza. The beast within Naruto had awakened. That meant the fight was about to end one way or another.

His mind briefly flashed back to when Naruto had first unlocked this power during his previous fight with the villagers. But this... this was different. The chakra was wild, uncontrollable, and from the looks of it, the Nine-Tails' power was starting to take over.

Zabuza, sensing the shift in energy, growled, his bloodshot eyes narrowing. "What the hell is this?!" he shouted, clearly confused by the overwhelming presence of the chakra.

Kakashi barely had time to block another swing from Zabuza's sword. "Focus, Zabuza," Kakashi muttered under his breath. His eyes never left the battlefield, even as the fight with Zabuza continued. He knew that if he allowed himself to be distracted, he wouldn't make it out of this fight unscathed. But still, the surge of Naruto's chakra was impossible to ignore.

The mist grew heavier, and the sharp, cold air mixed with the electric tension that now surrounded the area. Kakashi could feel the chakra vibrating beneath his feet, and he knew that the real battle was no longer about fighting Zabuza. The tides had turned.

This fight will be over soon, Kakashi thought, a flicker of both concern and determination flashing in his eyes. Whether it's Zabuza who falls or the beast within Naruto that emerges victorious, this battle is coming to a close.

Switch back to Sasuke's POV

Sasuke was still on the ground, his body aching, trying to keep his eyes on Naruto, who was now radiating with an immense power. The chakra coming from Naruto was unlike anything Sasuke had ever felt before, an oppressive force that crushed the air around them. It was raw, untamed, and destructive. But more than that, it was terrifying.

Naruto's body began to shake violently as he began to rise to his feet, his eyes glowing an unnatural red. His expression was one of fury—no longer the determined, somewhat goofy boy Sasuke knew, but something more primal. The Nine-Tails' chakra was controlling him now.

"Get back!" Sasuke shouted, struggling to rise to his feet, but the force of Naruto's chakra sent him crashing back down.

Haku, sensing the shift, took a cautious step back, his eyes wide with realization. He knew the danger of the Nine-Tails chakra and knew that this battle had just turned into something far more dangerous than either he or Sasuke could handle.

The ground cracked under the intensity of Naruto's chakra. Sasuke could barely keep his eyes open, the sheer energy suffocating him.

Then, with a roar, Naruto launched himself toward Haku, the overwhelming power of the Nine-Tails flooding the battlefield.

Switch to Kakashi's POV

Kakashi's hand gripped the hilt of his sword tightly. His eyes were sharp as ever, watching the fight unfold from a distance. He knew this moment would come. He'd seen Naruto's strength before, but this... this was something entirely different.

Zabuza, sensing the change, shifted his attention, his posture stiffening. "What's happening to him?" Zabuza asked, momentarily distracted by the overwhelming energy that had shifted the balance of power.

Kakashi's lips curled into a slight smirk, despite the dire situation. "I think the game's about to end, Zabuza. Whether we like it or not."

As Naruto charged forward, Kakashi turned his attention back to Zabuza. This was far from over.
