Chapter 72 - Chapter 73: The Calm Before the Storm

The day was quiet, almost too quiet, when Kong appeared on the horizon. His massive form loomed over the valley, his powerful strides shaking the ground. Dragons, sensing the urgency, took to the skies, and some moved to intercept him. But I raised my hand, signaling them to stop. This was something bigger, something that needed to be addressed directly.

Kong didn't waste time. His voice thundered, carrying the weight of something far more dangerous than any of us had faced before.

"It's them," Kong said, eyes wild with urgency. "An ancient Titan is awakening. It's coming for everything. We have to find Godzilla, now."

I felt a coldness settle in my chest. The name was familiar. The threat was real. I didn't need Kong to explain further. He didn't need to tell me who he was talking about. Shimo and Scar King were stirring again, and this time, they were coming for us all.

Kong's eyes locked with mine. "We need him. Godzilla's the only one who can help us now."

I nodded, my mind already racing. I knew exactly what this was. I'd been preparing for this moment in the back of my mind. The events were unfolding just as they had to. The time to act was now, and if we didn't move quickly, we'd lose everything.

Turning to the dragons, I spoke, my voice sharp and clear. "Everyone, listen up. Protect the valley, protect the young, and anyone who can't fight. Keep everything secure here. This fight is not ours to finish alone. But if this thing comes here, we stand ready to defend it."

They all understood. The dragons dispersed, each taking their assigned position. The gravity of Kong's warning hung over them, heavy in the air.

Kong moved closer, and his expression softened just for a moment. "We don't have time to waste," he said, already stepping into motion. "Let's find Godzilla and get this over with."

I didn't hesitate. We couldn't afford to wait any longer. We needed Godzilla's strength, his power. But I also knew that whatever was awakening was unlike anything we'd faced before.

I turned to my second-in-command, the third elder. "Stay here with the clan. Protect the valley at all costs. If we don't return—"

"You'll return," the third elder interrupted, his eyes steady. He didn't need to hear the rest. He understood the risks.

With Kong by my side, we took to the skies. The wind rushed past as we flew, my mind focused only on what lay ahead. I wasn't sure where Godzilla was, but I had a gut feeling that the time to find him was now.

As we flew, I kept my thoughts to myself. There was no need to say it aloud. The name Shimo and Scar King were enough. We both knew what we were walking into.

The battle wasn't just for the Hollow Earth anymore. It was for survival.

Kong looked over at me, his massive frame cutting through the air beside me. "We find him, we convince him, and we stop it. Together."

I didn't respond, but my eyes told him everything. We had no choice now. Whatever ancient Titan was rising, we would meet it head-on, with Godzilla at our side.
