Chapter 73 - Chapter 74: Clash at the Pyramids

The scorching sun beat down on the ancient sands of Egypt, where the Pyramids of Giza stood tall against the golden desert. You and Kong stood side by side, the silence heavy as dust clouds swirled around your feet. Kong clenched his axe, and you scanned the area with sharp eyes. This was where Kong said Godzilla had gone… and he was right.

The ground trembled. A tremor turned into a quake.

The Nile surged unnaturally. Then—he rose.

Godzilla burst from the sand-carved riverbed, massive and terrifying. But his appearance was different—his dorsal fins were glowing pink and red, blazing with power, more intense than anything you'd seen before. The glow shimmered with rage.

He didn't wait.

With a deep, thunderous roar, Godzilla charged forward. He didn't come to talk—he came to dominate.

You realized instantly: He thinks we're here to challenge his throne.

Godzilla barreled toward you both. His sheer size and force crashed into Kong first, sending the great ape flying through a dune and into a pyramid, shattering the top half in a cloud of stone and dust.

Kong roared and leapt back, slamming his axe into the sand to stop his slide, then charged in retaliation.

You inhaled deep, then roared, your flames bursting from your jaws in a scorching inferno aimed straight at Godzilla.

But Godzilla responded instantly—his chest rumbled and his pink-red atomic breath surged forward, far more intense than before. The two blasts collided in the sky above the dunes.

Your fire was overwhelmed. You dove to the side just in time, the atomic energy carving through the sand like a hot blade through flesh. The impact behind you exploded a massive dune into nothing but glass and molten debris.

Godzilla turned his fury toward Kong again, tail whipping him across the battlefield. Kong countered with a crushing overhead axe swing that struck Godzilla's shoulder, sparks and blood flying. You came in from behind, slashing his leg with your claws, then leapt away before the tail could find you.

Time seemed to warp around the three of you.

You felt the world shift—colors distorted, sound twisted.

Kong stumbled forward, blinking in confusion as the sand beneath him began to ripple like water.

Godzilla growled, his spikes pulsing brighter as if reacting to the shift in reality.

And then—it happened.

A burst of unnatural energy exploded between the three of you.

The desert blinked out of existence.

The world warped.

The next breath you took was filled with the familiar scent of wild wind and ancient trees. You were back—in the Hollow Earth. Kong landed beside you, groaning and rising to his feet. Godzilla stood across a ridge, equally stunned.

All three of you… transported.

You growled low, stepping forward. Something had triggered this. Something powerful. But now, you were back in your domain—and you didn't like that fate had moved the board again without warning.

The war for balance was only beginning.
