Ron POV:
As I slowly regained consciousness, my mind felt foggy, and my thoughts were disjointed. I tried to shake off the haze, but it lingered, like a stubborn mist that refused to clear.
Where was I? What was happening? The last thing I remembered was... the temple. Yes, the temple. I had been sleeping, or rather, in a state of deep meditation, for what felt like an eternity.
But how long had I actually been asleep? I reached for my Space Ring, a powerful artifact that could store an almost infinite amount of any objects . With a flick of my wrist, a small box materialized before me.
The box transformed into a sleek, silver braclet adorned with intricate circuits and a holographic screen. A bright red avatar appeared on the screen, and a sultry voice spoke.
"Hello, sir. Long time no see."
"Red Queen!" I exclaimed, surprised by the sudden appearance of my trusted AI assistant. "It's been a while."
Red Queen's avatar smiled, her digital lips curling upward. "Indeed, sir. You have awoken from your long slumber. I've been monitoring your progress."
I rubbed my temples, trying to clear the cobwebs. "What's the year, Red Queen? I need to know what I'm dealing with."
Red Queen's response was prompt. "Affirmative, sir. It's currently the year 2007. Humanity has made significant progress in technology, but it's still... somewhat primitive compared to what we've seen in other eras."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Primitive? That's an interesting assessment."
Red Queen's avatar nodded. "Yes, sir. While humans have achieved remarkable advancements in certain fields, their overall development is still... uneven."
I chuckled, amused by Red Queen's diplomatic phrasing. "Well, I suppose that's one way to put it."
As I pondered my next move,
Red Queen spoke up again. "Sir, I've created a new identity for you. Your name is Ron Jackson, and I've set up a residence for you in New York."
I smiled, appreciating Red Queen's efficiency. "Thanks, Red Queen. You're a lifesaver."
With my new identity in place, I began to explore my surroundings. The temple was still quiet, but I could sense the world outside was bustling with activity.
As I walked through the temple, I couldn't shake the feeling that I had awoken at an interesting time. The year 2007 was before the emergence of Iron Man, and I wondered what other surprises this era held.
But as I thought about it, a pang of unease crept into my mind. I didn't like the idea of being awake during a time when Captain America was still fighting in World War II. The memories of that conflict were still fresh in my mind, and I had no desire to relive them.
"Red Queen," I said, my voice firm. "Let's keep a low profile for now. I don't want to draw attention to myself."
Red Queen's avatar nodded in agreement. "Affirmative, sir. I'll ensure your presence remains... discreet."
With my plan in place, I took a deep breath, ready to embark on this new journey. Little did I know that my adventures in the year 2007 were only just beginning.
