Chapter 4 - Ah hell

I get out of the taxi, pay the driver, and set out to the nearest building's fire exit in the city. Once I reach it, I enhance my limbs and jump from balcony to balcony until I reach the top. At the top, I situate myself at the edge and enhance my eyes, allowing me to see clearly in the dark and great distances, at least 4 kilometers away.

After some time scanning around, taking a few breaks to make sure I don't waste my magical energy, I spot 3 criminals trying to rob a store. I enhance my legs and jump from the rooftop and land on the one across the street, using my enhanced eyes to track where they are. I get there and stand on top of the store with the moon to my back, aura farming like all the greats before me.

I enhance my legs and jump down, the 3 criminals are startled by my appearance, and I use that distraction to blitz them all. I punch one in the face, the other in the sternum, and deliver a brutal kidney shot to the other, a combination that has them on the ground in pain. I use structural analysis on them, just to make sure they won't die, and steal their belongings from them. I was able to loot 2 knives, 400 yen, and a stick of dynamite, which is kind of pitiful, must have been why they tried to rob a store.

God, I can feel the adrenaline rush through my veins after this victory, this must be what the other fanfic MC's felt when they took down their first bad guys. High on victory, I jump back to the rooftop and scan the area using my enhanced eyes, where I spot another crime about to take place. I quickly travel there and find that what I thought to be a few people, was an actual gang war taking place. Still high on victory, I rush in and attack the nearest guy to me and project a kitchen knife that I reinforce before stabbing his arm and punching him in the face.

This brings all attention to me, and I revel in it, they seem to come to a sort of alliance before they all rush towards me. I punch one guy, but another takes his place, who blocks my next punch and then someone behind me kicks my back. I'm surrounded, taking hits from all sides but giving back just as much, when I feel myself getting tired. I knew if I stayed in this position for too long, my body would give out before my circuits did and that would be a big no no.

"Fuck it", I project 20 knives and send them flying into the men around me, straining my circuits with the new task but not hurting them. I then blitz forward in that distraction to grab the knife still in the air before stabbing it into a man's guts and doing the same to the next 2 guys behind him. The rest either dodge or get hit by the knives I sent flying before I take control of them once more and have them fly over me while I fight. I started picking apart the gang using the skills I experienced from Kiritsugu and whenever another member tried to jump me, I had the knives in the air to do the talking.

The fight went on for another grueling 5 minutes and by the time I was finished, my circuits were tired and my body was exhausted. I looked around me, at the 20 men sprawled out and bleeding, a smile on my face that I survived, although the smile was washed off by headlights to the face. I look up and there's 3 cars that just arrived, from which multiple other gang members get out with weapons.

I looked at the assemblage of 18 more men and in my tired state of mind, I performed my most reckless action to date. As they charged towards me, I reinforced both my arms before projecting an AK-47 in each hand and blasting. The guns were loud as they lit up the alley, and their sudden appearance meant the gang members were caught with their pants down. It quickly turned into a scene from Squid Games and the blood pooling on the ground made me sick to my stomach. Looks like I got my own traumatic backstory now without the loss of family or friends, suck on that Japan.

When the guns clicked empty, I dismissed the projections and hobbled to the wall so I could sit down. Just as I was about to sit down, I could faintly hear police sirens, shit, someone must have heard the gunfire and called the police. My circuits, tired from projecting 20 knives, multiple body reinforcements, and two guns with a full magazine, cry out in protest as I reinforce my legs once more.

I jump from window to window until I land on the rooftop, where I start running and jump from rooftop to rooftop until I'm a few blocks away. I collapse once I do and stop reinforcing my limbs, my circuits sigh in relief as my body yells at me in hatred as I lay there on the hard ground, bruised and battered. I try to get up, but my body is too weak from its first outing as a vigilante and not used to such strenuous activity. I fell asleep there.

I wake up to the sun hitting my face, my injuries healed, circuits rested and ready, and no alarm in sight. It takes a moment for my sleep-addled brain to realize what's that wrong feeling I'm getting, when I look up at the sun and it comes to me, I'm me in the morning and not Shirou Emiya.

Ah hell.
